“Menasina ” - A small 30 x 30 cm acrylic portrait painting.

This actually began as initially trying to test out how I’d go with acrylic painting, and more so with portraits, which I ended up finding the whole creative process (like how to layer and paint the different sea animals etc.) a really interesting process despite taking excruciatingly long for even one corner to finish.

My inspiration were derived from the oceanic creatures you’d typically find in the South Pacific (such as turtles and stingrays) as well as trying to capture the Polynesian culture with the female model in one little painting. Reminiscing of my early childhood and island life were also inspiration I drew in creating this artwork.
