albedo frequents the museum, visiting every evening after his work with the knights, more often than not falling asleep by the statue. as the days passed by and the nights grew lonelier, albedo began dragging a bottle of dawn winery's finest with him, passing out well into his visit at the base of the statue.

and one night, wine drunk and deeply missing xiao he pulls the velvet rope separating them to the side, crossing the barrier as he comes face to face with the statue. in a moment of weakness, albedo presses his tear-stained face against xiao's, his cold lips met by stone rather than warmth. aching and alone albedo prays to the gods, asking them to return his lover back to him.

soft mood so here are some xiaobedo brainworms that i let take over my brain constantly

- when they first started getting close, xiao refused to tell albedo about his nightmares but over the course of weeks they spent together, albedo began to notice xiao's aversion to falling asleep, an almost fearful nature of his when it came to the act and when he found out, he started to hold xiao whenever he slept, just,, cuddling or holding his hand brushing his hair, either way he was always there

and on the nights they were apart if xiao could make it, he'd fly across teyvat from liyue to mondstadt to spend the night with albedo

- the first time albedo met xiao, xiao pissed him off to such an extent that albedo had to walk away and sit in a quiet corner to sketch and calm down but as he sat there for every minute that passed and every sketch he drew, they were all adeptus xiao and over the course of their meetings all albedo drew was the adeptus and he knew he was fucked since he couldn't get this boy out of his mind but albedo refused to believe he'd caught feelings for a snarky angry boy that was unnecessarily pretty and also polite and thoughtful and and and—

- xiao will never admit it to anyone, especially not albedo but he starts fighting the karmic debt and starts looking for a future he's not sure exists because ever since he met albedo he's started to hope and that was a luxury he's never thought to have before
