I wrote a letter to Richard Sherman recently because every day we lose an amazing person and I wanted to thank him for all the music he and his brother have made for Disney and share a few stories and thoughts before it’s too late. I sent it to an address provided by this website http://m.fanmail.biz/116763.html
I put in the letter that Mr. Sherman didn’t have to reply if he didn’t want to because I didn’t want to seem obnoxious. I haven’t written a fan letter since I was 10 and I’m 26 now. Unfortunately I’m also really insecure and prone to existential dread, so I kinda wish that I put that I at least wanted a sign that he received the letter. A few days have gone by and my insecurities have been messing with my head and I’m wondering if the website didn’t give me the right address and maybe I should have done more research. I didn’t at first because I didn’t want to seem obsessive and the thoughts of this not working were making my anxiety worse.
Is there a better way to give him this letter without going to far? I don’t want to look for his house and drop another letter at his door because I have seen many stories about crazy and entitled fans and I’m worried doing something like that will cross the line. I may be a high functioning autistic person and have difficulty understanding boundaries, but that’s no excuse. If you’re unsure if your actions could be crossing the line, then you shouldn’t do it.
I thought about posting the letter online and hope he’ll see it, but I don’t know if that’s appropriate. I just want to thank him and tell some of my memories and thoughts. What should I do?
Eventually, Malleus investigates and Learns about Playful Land and Pleasure Island and why OC is so scared and uses his royal authority to have the island quarantined. Luckily the NRC students were so disturbed by OC’s screaming that no one went to playful land that day.
Eventually, Honest and Gidel were found and arrested, but they were given lighter sentences in exchange for ratting out their boss and giving the names of previous victims. Unfortunately, their punishment was watching OC commit crimes against humanity on their former boss. OC is happy to have a chance to heal from her donkey-trauma and Malleus is happy to lend a hand by using his magic to heal the Coachman before he dies so OC can torture him again.
NRC was both impressed and horrified at OC’s vast knowledge of torture and execution and OC no longer has to deal with bullies. Every now and then OC comes to class covered in blood that isn’t hers and Malleus gets a letter from his grandmother approving OC as a possible match for him.
In 1982, quite by accident, a zookeeper at Izu Shaboten Zoo in Shizuoka Prefecture discovered that capybaras absolutely loved soaking in hot water, and the practice of providing them an onsen, or traditional Japanese hot spring, was born. Source Massimo; video @yu_haradakei.
It’s all right. I have moments like this too. These days people are overly sensitive and impossible to please to the point that we constantly have to wear a mask just to get liked. Just remember that you’re doing your best, and if people find you annoying for doing your best then that’s their loss.
Reminds me of social skills class. You spend years being taught a certain way to act in order to be socially acceptable then when you’re an adult you learn that people actually don’t care about that and now you don’t know what to do anymore because you’re constantly thinking about what people will think of you.
Now I’m doing my best to unlearn those habits because I want to be my true self and be a creative writer and I’m not going to be either of those if I’m constantly thinking about how other people think of me and every little thing I do.
