manipulative,

hurtful,

but I see all of that only reflected in you.

I’ve made mistakes and I’m not perfect.

No one is,

but you demanded perfection from me so often that the mistakes piled up

and I hated who I became.

I never hated you, but I’m done with you,

and I want to start doing the opposite of everything you tell me.

I think that’s the path to happiness, freedom, and safety, and if it’s not,

it’s at least a good place to start.

If you need help from a friend, try to speak up and ask for it. It’s okay to need support and assistance, but your friends may not realize you’re struggling if you don’t speak up.
