ALTER EGO | Five x Derek fic
New drop folks!!
This time inspired by gaishnik's new art with Derek all tied up.
It gets bloody and it gets hot.
Even so, Five was standing there covered in blood, his hand hesitant and trembling, hovering over the doorknob.
Just beyond this door was Derek.
Scared and shaken, he had seen everything for what Five truly was.
He had seen what Five had been raised to be.
What he had been created for.
All the beautiful layers Five had built to pass in this timeline had been stripped away. This was what remained underneath.

this just feels like reading a diary but also incredibly useful to have it laid out like this
10 Lies Your Character Believes About Themselves (And They’d Die Before Admitting It)
These aren't the fun, Disney Channel lies like “I'm just a regular girl” while literally being a secret pop star. These are the ugly ones. The ones that get in your character’s blood and start rewriting their whole life without them noticing.
» “If people really knew me, they'd leave.” Not "might." Would. No question. So they smile bigger. They edit harder. They keep conversations surface-level. All while carrying this bone-deep certainty that love is conditional... and they are dangerously close to failing the test.
» “I have to earn every good thing.” Rest? Happiness? A day without guilt? They treat those things like prizes at the end of a brutal obstacle course. No one told them they could just have good things. No strings. No blood price. (So they keep bleeding anyway.)
» “I'm too much.” Too loud. Too intense. Too sensitive. Too complicated. They know it. They've been told. So now they pull themselves in, hold their breath, bite back everything real until they barely take up space at all. (And ironically, they still think they’re being "too much.")
» “I'm not enough.” Neat little trick, right? They’re both "too much" and "not enough" at the same time. Magic. They're convinced everyone else got the secret manual for how to be lovable and they somehow missed it.
» “If I'm strong enough, nothing can hurt me.” They call it resilience. Other people call it stubbornness. Reality calls it self-destruction. They've mistaken numbness for healing and independence for invulnerability. But hurt still gets in. It just hits harder when it’s been bottled up for years.
» “I’m responsible for everyone's happiness.” Caretaker. Peacemaker. Therapist friend. Emotional sponge. They’ve appointed themselves as everyone's safety net, believing that if they don’t hold everything together, everything will fall apart. (Newsflash: it's not their circus, and it never was.)
» “I don't need anyone.” Need is a dirty word. It’s weak. It’s dangerous. So they white-knuckle their way through life, collecting scars and pretending it’s freedom. But late at night? In the dark? They’d sell their soul for someone to just... stay.
» “I'm the villain in someone else's story and they might be right.” They know they've hurt people. Made bad calls. Left damage. And no matter how much good they do now, some part of them whispers, You don’t get to come back from that.
» “My best days are behind me.” Whether they peaked in high school, lost their shot at something important, or just carry a chronic ache of nostalgia, they believe it’s too late. That nothing good can be built from where they are now. (Which, ironically, makes them waste even more time.)
» “This is as good as it gets.” They settle. For bad love. Boring jobs. Half-dead dreams. They tell themselves it's "realistic." "Mature." "Practical." But underneath? It's fear. It's heartbreak. It's the quiet belief that hope is something they can’t afford anymore.

“We’re off the clock. Don’t call me ‘sir,’” Five snapped, hissing as Derek secured the knot. He snipped the thread close to the wound.
“Then don’t call me ‘kid.’” Derek awkwardly pushed up his glasses with his wrist to avoid the bloodied glove, but Five caught his arm before he could finish. With a quiet focus, he nudged the bridge of Derek’s glasses up for him, pressing them into place.

Hehehehe gotta love a good office romance
I would owe you my life if you were to ever draw Five sitting in Derek’s lap.. like maybe just looking into his eyes or kissing him… I think it would be very on brand for them personally

With AI popping up all over the creative world, a bunch of us decided to show how fun it can be to try and draw something in your own style. Whether you’re scribbling with a pen, painting on a tablet, new to this, or enjoying drawing as a hobby, it's always nice to try something new or challenge yourself.
Everyone used the same reference image. Names in alphabetical order.
1. Original image
2. @gaishnik
3. @hansodax
4. @kingofok
5. @kuaptic
6. @monfivela
7. @rowan-555 @rowan555
8. @tardis-jpeg
Any requests for another drawing?

Anyone else feel the need to share their stance on AI by reblogging the very post you're supposedly rallying against, thus helping it gain even more traction?
Yes, I generated some images using AI. Yes, I’m fully aware it’s not real art and that AI will never replace human creativity. Yes, it’s a grey area, just like a lot of fan-made content that borrows from someone else’s work. And no, I really don’t feel like hearing the same lectures over and over again... all day long.
Are we going to talk about how drawing characters that aren’t yours is also a little bit of a author's grey area? Or how some fanfics sometimes cross lines when it comes to respect for the characters or even the actors? No?
So before turning me into the collective villain for sharing a few AI-generated images, maybe take a moment to look at your own creative choices and boundaries first. Maybe something you do isn't exactly comfortable for everyone either, but no everyone feels the need to spread it all over the fandom.
Thanks.

It’s interesting that you refer to the pushback against AI-generated art as merely an opinion. The majority consensus among artists is to not feed or encourage AI art, and this has been a major topic of discussion since 2020, when these models were first introduced. I remember doing my due diligence—researching, and reading articles written by artists. There’s more harm beneath the surface than you might think.
Every image that’s uploaded doesn’t just train the model—it actively asks the model to define, reduce, and remodel someone else’s entire life’s work and artistic style for your own benefit.
Now that these styles have been created (along with millions of others from various fandoms), not only will Hayao Miyazaki never see a penny for his life's work being used, but the question becomes: who does get credited for this media?
Certainly not you. Not Miyazaki. Not the AI—which isn’t a living being and is incapable of original thought. And yet, it sounds like you want to credit the AI in your post.
To this day, no one has produced a signature style as distinct and significant as the Ghibli aesthetic, except Miyazaki himself. His work is so recognizable that it doesn’t even require a signature—anyone can look at it and know it’s his and his studio’s. So, should we credit the studio for all the data the model was fed in order to create this?
This isn’t just some opinion floating around among artists in this fandom or on this platform. It’s a well-documented and ongoing issue that has been circulating within the art community for years. It represents the potential erasure of human creativity under capitalistic models—because at the end of the day, these AI art generators profit from user interaction and even mentions on posts.
What really irks me is that you offered an apology, then immediately followed it with reasons why you shouldn’t have to apologize. I’d recommend doing some actual research (hell, even ask AI why AI art is considered problematic), and forming a well-rounded, thoughtful opinion. Just like the so-called "art," all the information you need is still just one click away.
#ai art is not art#pls dont credit a robot#use it as a reference even#do your research ppl#i dont even call my drawing as art bc i heavily use a reference#say no to ai art#fan art requires a fan to make it
