Bernie: Elton, are you crying?
Elton: Why would you say that?
Bernie: Because tears are coming out of your eyes, and your face is all scrunched up.
Elton: This is crying?
Bernie: Yeah.
Elton: Then I've been crying for three days.

Be brave, think big. Rocketman (2019), directed by Dexter Fletcher Apart from the incredible and undeniable chemistry between Taron Egerton and Richard Madden, this scene allows us to enjoy the Madden’s work on his intonation and voice. It is probably one of my favorite things about his portrayal of John Reid. How much attitude, charm, disdain, anger and frustration he puts in his demeanor, thus creating a man who’s incredibly charming, terrifying and also despicable. Also, that thumb bite. Brilliant.

“I’m innocent!”
Bodyguard, episode 6
It is no surprise that working on the show completely drained Richard Madden. His performance, which surely required a lot of energy, throughout the entirety of Bodyguard is incredibly good and authentic. In fact, its authenticity, in my opinion, reaches its climax in episode 6, during the scene at Pope Square. You can feel David’s pain, helplessness, anger and fear. He is sobbing, shaking, and screaming. The interpretation is simply on point. In a way, it’s not just the peak of the show, it’s also Richard Madden’s peak, thus once again proving that dramatic scenes are most definitely his forte.

If you watch Rocketman(2019) at 11:01:40pm on New Years Eve, John Reid will say “And it’s going to be a wild ride” as the clock strikes midnight. Start your new year off by hearing a prediction of how it’s about to go down
