She laughed too and nudged the firefighter. “My tree is FAKE and has LED lights that have yet to light anything on fire. I promise the likelihood of FIRE is slim, at best. Especially if you’re supervising.” Sheri smiled and tilted her head. “So, your place or mine?”

“Alright, alright. I’ll take your word for it.” He said with a nod and another chuckle. Giving a shrug of his shoulders before he spoke. “Well, since you seem to have decorations all up, maybe your place? Since mine would definitely be LACKING in that department.”

‘‘Um—‘‘ he frowns, but even if he tries to think about it.. he has no clue as to why she’s upset with him. ‘‘Wait, is this because of the girl I drove to school?’‘ she’s a classmate that was walking to school for whatever reason, it’s not like he planned it. ‘‘She was walking. In the rain. I offered her a ride, there’s nothing more to it then that.‘‘  

One of the things she loved and loathed about her boyfriend was how incredibly nice and considerate he was. Of course, she knows his actions come from the RIGHT PLACE. However, she can never seem to help herself. Her JEALOUSY seethes from her. The deepest insecurities she tries to hide always come bubbling out when it comes to Beck when he’s surrounded by others who fawn over him. She knows it’s petty and stupid, but she can’t help herself. She simply rolls her eyes, arms crossed as she just stares are him. “Well--it was her fault for not bringing and UMBRELLA. You didn’t HAVE to offer her a ride.” But she knows she can’t fault him for his good-natured deed for long. “Whatever, let’s just drop it okay?” She doesn’t want to fight anymore. And how can she stay mad at him when he looks so adorable with the soppy curls that make her just want to kiss him right there? Instead, she reaches for her hand and curls her arm around his. “C’mon, or we’ll be LATE for class.”

“no--” he said in a breath as he finally stopped running. he hadn’t even realized just how far they’d gotten until they had the opportunity to stop and catch their breath. “i think we manage to lose, ‘em, angel.” he assured her and despite the fact that they’d stopped he had yet to let go of her hand. “are you alright? ‘m sorry if i was running too fast.”

“do you really believe that i DON’T care about you, angel?” his brows furrowed. though, he knew that she had every right to think so. after all, he was a downright asshole to her in front of the gang. letting dally and two-bit’s words get to him and acted the way that he did. but he didn’t mean it, and he hoped that she could understand that. being a greaser meant keeping up a REPUTATION. one that well, he didn’t exactly have but wanted to mold for himself. relying on two people he shouldn’t have so heavily.
