I was curious how has your blog been controversial? I've only been on tumblr since Jan. I also understand if you don't want to talk about it! Also, happy anniversary! 💗

Hey there! It's not a big deal. The good has definitely been far more plentiful than the bad.

Over the years, I've had some people question my credibility, and as I get older, I realize that's a little bit fair. I didn't make a habit of citing my sources from the beginning, and when I tried to compile all of them 1000+ facts in, life got in the way and I never finished that project.

I can truthfully say I did my very best to only post things from reliable sources - I did spend a whole weekend reading every single scan of every interview available on taylorpictures.net and have seen probably every interview of Taylor's on Youtube.

However, I started this blog when I was 13 and, as I said in the post, had unreliable internet access. Obviously, my research skills have also significantly improved since I was 13! I also never expected this blog would reach such a significant audience and wasn't always sure how to handle that.

Some people have been unnecessarily harsh when I did get information wrong and have used that as a way to write me off entirely. There have also been some longer facts where some information was not worded very well and some miscommunications caused arguments. That's on me, but they were genuine mistakes.

Basically, there have been some people who I feel have never taken me seriously and may have thought I was acting in bad faith, and I have never felt the need to prove anything to them, but they do exist. It happens. I don't think a lot of fans knew how young I was for most of this blog's run.

hello may i know thus is true, i found it on internet, The original title of Christmas Must Be Something More is "Blessed Country Christmas" the title was found by Andrea in Taylor's grade school notebook with few lyrics. I just find an interview, but I can't find it, hope you will help me.

Hey! Nothing on the sources page for 1-1000 is hyperlinked - I know it says at the top about if a link doesn't work but there aren't any links to click on. Btw, you are doing an awesome job!

also re: the sources - it might be useful to put the number fact next to it because on desktop it just shows up as bulletpoints so it's really hard to match the fact to the source (I appreciate you're super busy though)

Hello! Yes, the biggest thorn in my side. I had them all hyperlinked once upon a time and the links just... disappeared one day?? I truly want to get around to fixing it someday soon but I can’t make any promises.

Thank you for letting me know about the numbers, though. Maybe that’s my theme - originally, the numbers did show up, maybe the HTML displays them as bulletpoints. That’s a quicker fix and I’ll get on it when I have time in the near future.

Hey! I’m obsessed with your blog! It’s amazing! I was wondering, with the facts about original lyrics, where do you find those? Is there a specific source or do they just come from all over the place?

There are a lot of different sources. Many of the recent ones have come from Taylor’s Lover journals. Taylor has also, on occasion, donated the original lyrics of songs to museums, like her Grammy exhibit from 2016. Lastly, a few come from recorded demos of the song that have leaked online (basically only for debut era tracks, though). 

If there is a specific post you’re wondering about I can do my best to direct you to the original source! :)

Please check fact #5307; I'm pretty sure you have a misplaced decimal point in a number. Otherwise, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to buy a TS tour ticket for about a buck !!! What a deal !!! Recently wandered into your blog, and spent wa-ay-y too much time here. Fortunately, it was only Corona-time. I think I will probably return, though.

I’m pretty sure in that context “grossed” means how much of a profit she made. She made more than $9.2 mil overall but much of that goes to paying employees, venues, ticket websites, etc.

I’ve read so many times that one of Taylor’s favorite movies is Pride & Prejudice is that true? When did she say that?

Hmm, I don’t know if I’ve ever heard about P&P specifically until now! I did post back in 2015 that she is a fan of Jane Austen. I don’t remember the source for that offhand, and can’t find anything relating directly to that book. It was probably in an old print interview, there are tons of gems on taylorpictures.net where Taylor lists random favorites.

The situation in the US is, well...not ideal. But I’m very lucky to not currently know anyone who is sick with the virus, and feel fine myself. Washing my hands like crazy, trying not to read the news too much because it’s making me anxious. Figuring out my college situation is a little stressful; I’ve requested to be able to stay til the end of the semester because my home is not the greatest place to study and I’m afraid for my grades. We’ll see. Other than that, I’m leaving the house as little as possible.
