Just sitting here pondering how happy I am that The Man music video is OUT. I want to say thank you to so many people- Gotta thank The Rock for voicing The Man and for being so supportive of my music for years (and now my directorial debut!)- it’s so cool to have you be a part of this!! Thank you Jayden Bartels and Dominic Toliver for your amazing and hilarious reactions- and Loren Gray your eye roll really was aStOnIsHiNg 🥰😘💗 My dad making his acting debut as ‘unimpressed umpire’ is a memory I’ll always cherish. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for helping me become the man I always knew I could be 😂

Alongside every great (the) man is a team of hardworking creatives who made this thing happen. Bill Corso & his incredible team and I have worked together before, turning me into a zombie.. but convincing a significant amount of people I was a dude is our crowning achievement. Between 4-6 hours in the make up chair every day with these geniuses. Thank you Bill and all who worked so hard on this transformation 🙏🙏🙏

I want to say a massive thank you to my main team in putting this whole thing together: Jil Hardin, our producer, worked tirelessly and truly made me feel like I could do this. Joe ‘Oz’ Osborne, our excellent AD, and I have worked together for years and he’s the coolest. Rodrigo Prieto, our DP/cinematographer, is absolutely brilliant and down to earth and hilarious. Ethan Tobman created all those sets. Like, that wasn’t a real yacht. That’s how good he is. 🤯👏

More thank you’s... Chancler Haynes is an editing extraordinaire. Stephen Galloway and Spenser Theberge were my movement coaches and taught me how to smoke, slouch, walk and act like a toxic bro. David Lebensfeld and Grant Miller aced that VFX magic. Shout out to Rebecca Skinner for being the best executive producer a (wo)man could ask for. I can’t believe I get to work with these legends. Having a little moment over here 🥺💓

WAIT A SECOND WAIT A SECONDDDD.
I FOUND ANOTHER EASTER EGG.
ELLEN ASKED TAYLOR IF SHE LEFT AN EASTER EGG DURING THE INTERVIEW WHICH WAS ELLEN BEING IN A MUSIC VIDEO (YNTCD)
BUT. TAYLOR DURING BURNING QUESTIONS SAID HER FAVORITE MOVIE IS SOMEONE GREAT. WHICH INSPIRED DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS. MA'AM.

So it’s finally out! Miss Americana is on Netflix and I’m really excited for you to see it. I want to thank Lana Wilson for her endless curiosity and for wanting to make this film. It’s pretty wild to be sharing this much of my life because it’s pretty scary to be vulnerable! (understatement of the century) But I’m also so grateful to the critics and journalists who have so thoughtfully watched and reflected on the film. 🙏🌯🐱🎒🎶 taylorswift.lnk.to/MissAmericana

Queen. A literal QUEEN. 👑

I hadn’t done a Rolling Stone cover in 5 years, and hadn’t seen Brian Hiatt since I got in 2 car crashes while driving him around during our interview in 2012. 🤦♀️ There were no cars driven this time, but we had a lot to catch up on. Thank you Rolling Stone and Brian for everything you did to make this cover happen. And Erik Madigan Heck for taking these photos, absolutely loved working with you!

“A lot of conversations. All the conversations. I had this conversation with Taylor Swift when I was younger and she was like, ‘why are you so nervous?’ I used to get so nervous, so uptight, shaking. And I’d be like, ‘I just don’t want people to think I suck, I don’t wanna mess up!’ And she’d be like, ‘well is this American Idol?’ And I’m like no. And she’s like, ‘everyone’s coming to have fun and love you unconditionally. They came. They already decided they’re gonna love you, so let them do that.’ And I was like whoa. Ever since, if I’m on stage and I’m having a tough day vocally or whatever and I’m like I’m not gonna be Superman today. I just go on the stage like, 'no one expects me to be Superman. They’re here because of me, not Superman.’”
— Shawn Mendes when asked by a fan if there was a conversation with any significant person that he always reminds himself of (source: @MendesCrewInfo)
