manifesto is pretty simple: We should be working together to build the future we want instead of working against each other to build the future we don't.

So, i didn't learn to play an instrument when I was young. For what might be obvious reasons, when i went through puberty and my voice changed I subsequently stopped singing. I am sorry that a lot of artists are going to be hurt by evolving technology. This is and HAS always been true. AI today, printing presses 585 years ago, probably the first colored paint 40000 years ago. On the upside, it has let me sing for the first time in 30 years.
---
This is a song written by me for my sunday gaming group-it pins some of my feelings about the changing world we live in and pairs them with the fear of exploration and the unknown in a fantasy setting.
Offered to you without guile or scheme. Just happy to have a voice.

what we owe each other
the marginalization of people who don't agree with you leads to radicalization. over and over and over again, throughout history. people want to be heard and listened to.
i thought of this while reading the report in the nytimes about the charges being dropped against the texas doctor who released private medical information about those in transgender care. i assume most people's reaction is just outrage in a flash and then back to scrolling. hate doctor>get dopamine>hate government->get dopamine>resume loop. for me i thought, wow. how isolated and confused at the world must that doctor be? how you'd get to that point isn't a mystery anymore.
anyway, whoever you are, i hear you-i see you. you are a person and i will treat you as such. even if you hate me. even if i hate you.
we cannot continue to preach /love/ if all we do is love our own opinions.

i'm already famous
it starts with low ambient echoes of the sort used all over Folklore. A gentle sonorous voice calls out longingly into the darkness. Operatic, desperate, filled with emotion that begs the audience to seek out its trauma. "I'm already famous." She sings. It echoes and a guitar saddled with guilt is strummed. "I'm already famous." She calls out a second time. It sounds like less of a brag and more like a plea. Something she needs to believe. "I'm already famous." She calls out a third time, but the voice is older and wiser now-filled with lament. The three words. The three NOTES are the same, but the meaning has shifted by the tone. No. You can't love her. She's wounded by her fame. As the guitar echoes into the dark, a few strings are plucked and what begins is a mind bogglingly upbeat and winding song that is filled with self ridicule, self mythologizing and way too much hyper self-awareness. It's first chorus starts: "famous for loooooving, you!" It's a wild juxtaposition and mood shift. It's upbeat and cheeky. The most casual of fan can feel her wink without seeing it. It's a 13 minute song (exactly 13:00), akin to Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant. It's tongue in cheek. it's earnest. it's fun and light and love. it's title is annoying, the opening plays on fan and hater expectation alike, and it's quintessential Taylor Swift.

it's a recurrence. an echo. dwindling lives down to frail frames of smoke. generational trauma on repeat.

and so. the ghost left her house and travelled across the country yet again. hoping beyond hope to stop haunting herself.
a moment of peace was less than she deserved
but all that she wanted
