wren absolutely adores taylor’s dress, and when they first arrive, she’s basically hiding in it. there’s a patch of fabric that’s wrinkled from how tightly little fingers held onto it, but eventually that grip faded and she pulled away and opened up and taylor was just running after her with her heels in one hand and the bottom of her dress in the other — she’s a master at one-handed heel removal, and while it may have a few other reasons, in this season of life it’s primarily to catch up with wren before she disappears

jj thinks they named the baby after nemo and that was all she needed to hear to know she loved her. travis told her she had a new baby cousin named finn, and the immediate response was “like nemo’s lucky fin?” so now baby finnley is only ever referred to as “lucky finn” in the swift-kelce household.

she does not want another baby in the house, but she did propose that taylor and travis could have a baby and just drop it off with kylie at night time so that they didn’t have to wake up and hear crying. travis broke the news that unfortunately the baby would have to sleep with them and that was basically the end of any baby conversation

little emlor fact !! emma and taylor most definitely shower together at the end of every day (when it’s possible). it’s always a battle for water temperature (emma likes to melt her skin off and taylor can only tolerate mildly burning her palms) and which loofa they’re gonna use because emma thinks hers is better and taylor just grabs whichever ones closer. and when they’re apart for work you best believe showering doesn’t feel the same and they’re mopey useless lesbians for a couple days until they’re reunited

despite how much taylor loves cats, she refused to get another one despite how much wren begged. when wren finally moved out and for her own cat, she named it doctor addison montgomery and vowed that if she ever mustered the courage to have two — multiple — cats, she’d name the second one detective (professor) amanda rollins. as a child she’d her so mad at taylor for naming meredith well… meredith and not addison because in wrens eyes addison montgomery and amelia shepherd are the best surgeons ever and she can’t even waste time on meredith (although taylor has definitely caught her crying over multiple meredith near death experiences). anyways wren is a greys enthusiast just like her mother and she frequently begs gracie to dress up as lexie for halloween.

say taylor has wren and travis has jj how is their dynamic together with kids

jj is reckless (as always) and wrenny is a stressed out little mini. wren is jj’s second mother and the third parent in their dynamic, or at least, she believes she is and travis is inclined to defend that she drives a hard bargain, especially when she points to the melting down toddler and simply says “night-night time.”

travis and taylor in aspects of parenthood feel like they’re melting down entirely at any (and every) given moment. they have two of the hardest children to manage both because they are so similar and so unbelievably different. they’re both easily persuaded into obedience with simple redirection, which works so so so unbelievably well on plane rides, but they’re both also incredibly clingy. wren has to be attached to either taylor or travis most always, and if not always, at random moments, and jj needs to be close to them. ideally, this is perfect. taylor thought so for the first hour… until wren kept freaking out about jj getting too close when she toddled over to hand taylor a plastic apple with a bite mark on the bottom, and twenty seconds later jj face planted and she didn’t have a hand to reach out and stop it without being too late and adding chaos by sending wren spiraling down into a panic attack. by the sixth month though, they know they’ve got things handled, and they have an impeccable routine, but regardless they’re parents of two girls between the ages of 2 and 6 and so there basically drowning at all times.

they’d love both of those girls so much though. travis wants six. he told taylor he wanted ten but when she glared at him without saying a single word he changed it to six. taylor is perfectly content with their two. neither of them might be hers, but wren is every positive part of her soul in one tiny body and jj is every part of travis and that… that is perfect to her. travis’ contact picture in her phone is jj, and travis’ contact picture of taylor is wren passed out on a plane ride to ireland with jj sprawled against her. both the girls are small, but somehow jj looks so big as she’s pressed up against jj. oh those girls are SOOOOO loved.

Do Andrea and Scott help with jj when she goes to eras and do they have a relationship with her

they do! andrea especially. andrea goes to most games with taylor and jj, and so jj is just automatically closer with her than she is scott but both of them have a relationship with her. they basically are the second set of grandparents. they never forced the grandparent roles, but jj called andrea “grammy swift” one time and it stuck and papa swift is just universal. they LOVE that little girl. it doesn’t matter to them that she’s not actually taylor’s kid and she was already a whole little person when they met. they buy her random presents, and they sneak her extra sweets, and they cuddle her when she needs it and nobody else can offer it. they really are just a blended little family

What city do Emma and Taylor settle down in and raise the kids? Or do they move all around?

they bounce around, primarily to atlanta, new york, la, and toronto for both of their jobs, but once they really settle into their relationship, i’d say they primarily settle down in Rhode Island and Hawaii. they spend the winters in hawaii if they’re off, and they spend the summers in rhode island/new york. they raise the kids in rhode island and vacation to hawaii for spring break, summer, all of the semi-long breaks. emma loves the shore and the seclusion of rhode island, but she also finds peace with hawaii and going back there and the kids LOVE it. they’re raised by different coasts and they definitely get the girls into surf classes and whatnot

when will you be updating legends again?

hopefully within the next six weeks. my semester ends may 7th, and the way my workload is looking… it’s just not doable to get out a good chapter and i never want to rush a story or plotline. i’ve done that in the past just because it feels right to give you guys an update, but it always bites me (snd you) in the ass later on when the plotlines are shitty or don’t meet up. so, thank you so much for being patient with me. i truly had every intention of writing through this semester, but i’ve been fighting for my life and it just wouldn’t be fair to you to rush the quality/quantity of my chapters.

i’ve also noticed that i write the fastest in blocks! when i go on my three-four month updating sprees, that is genuinely me writing and publishing updates as fast as i can, and in doing so that gives so much room for burnout to flourish. emma and wren are my babies, all other fanfics aside i think about them the most, and i want their stories to be good and realistic and timely for what fits them. i know nobody likes waiting months for an update, and even if you do that you lose details when breaks are taken between chapters, but im just a 21 year old girl trying to get a degree, work five days a week, and not succumb to mental illness. thank you so much to everyone who has continued to stick by me, who anticipates the chapters, and who engages here. it truly means so much to me.

the come morning light storyline is essentially over. i’ve been planning another 6 or so chapters, but the adoption does end the storyline more or less. i’m rethinking a sequel just because i don’t know if i have the time to devote to it and i do not want to start another fic that just gets lost in the shuffle of life. so do we want the adoption chapter and then an epilogue? or do we want the six more chapters and then no sequel?

nothing nothing !! i’ve been painting and organizing and ordering my entire life off of amazon pretty much, but my current reno project should be done saturday and then i have all the time in the world to put together my new taylor/eras tour space!!
