[image id: a digital painting of hurley and sloane from the adventure zone, drawn in a semi-realistic style.
sloane is a tall, slender half-elven woman with long black hair that reaches her lower back. she has light skin, a small nose, and monolidded eyes. she wears a brown leather jacket and black pants. her right ear is pierced in two places with a silver chain.
hurley is a short, stocky halfling woman with short, reddish hair. she has darker skin, a wide nose, and is muscularly built. she wears a black and pink turtleneck, brown pants, and red, fingerless gloves. several tattoos are visible on her body, most notably a tattoo of a ram’s head on her upper arm. her ears are pierced with dangling silver earrings inlaid with red gems.
sloane’s back is to the viewer, and she leans down slightly towards hurley’s face. hurley is leaning up and pulling on sloane’s arm. the two are almost kissing, but not quite. both women are blushing and smiling slightly. hurley’s eyes are closed, while sloane looks down at hurley’s lips.
the background of the piece is a very pale pink, and there is a large pink heart behind hurley and sloane. /end image id]

Best Served Cold
Tumblr media
Image description: A poster for Happy Scoops, the design is mostly pastel colours, but overcrowded with lots of pictures of ice creams, there is also one fish. Image description ends.
Best Served Cold is finished! Why should you read it?
It has fluff! It has revenge! It has older lesbians who love each other so much! It has younger lesbians who also love each other so much and do crime together! There's ice cream! There's revenge! There's a secret meeting with many delicious interruptions! There's an icy hot application scene! Magic Brian is inexplicably there at the end!
Want a snippet before you're sold?
“So therefore…” Istus leaves the sentence dangling. “I shouldn’t go and tell them off and make them better people by force of will alone.” Istus pats her shoulder, it’s a brave sacrifice. “I’m not sorry about the shredder.” Raven adds, defiant until the last. “Do you want me to let you in on a secret, my love?” Istus leans in close to whisper in her ear. “I’m not sorry either.”"
and if that wasn't enough, Istus made this sign. She got really excited about the art options, and just decided to put all of them on there. Why the fish? You ask. Other people asked too. She just thinks it looks really happy, it would have been sad if she left it off. Graphic design is her passion.
Read on Ao3 or Tumblr.
And of course, a thanks to the organisers of @tazsapphicweek for what they do! Always nice to see the f/f totals go up after this event!

All I Wanted
@tazsapphicweek Day 7 - Prompt: "Past/Future". They had the beach, they had the uncertainty of what was next, they had each other… They had a whole new world that stretched out before and beneath them.
(I promised myself I would finish this fic for sapphic week 2024 if it was the last thing I did, and well. Here we are<3)
Word count: 3,519 (Chapter 3)
Ship: Oksamber - Amber Gris/Oksana (Ballaster Kodira)
Warnings: The bittersweetness of being (nearly) alone in the world (but it gets better)
Chapter 3: I Could Follow You To The Beginning Just To Relive The Start
It never quite stopped being a weird feeling, being just the two of them. The blink sharks offered some reprieve, of course, especially after they figured out a means of communication that worked for both parties, but it was not the same (especially since the sharks insisted on being all solemn and worship-y about it). There was always that stinging feeling of finality, of irreparability. They were a constant reminder of who Amber had been, and who she was now; and she could never stop feeling like those were two completely different, irreconcilable people.
She had started trying to build a small shack using the wood from the trees in the jungle, but picking up carpentry from scratch by herself was unsurprisingly a steep learning curve. That and hunting kept her busy, though, and that was the only thing that mattered. It was all Amber could do to will herself not to go completely insane.
Oksana seemed to have her own ways of keeping her head on her shoulders. She went on long walks across the shore, just looking at the sea, at the sky, at the ground beneath her feet. It was strangely soothing, watching her leave footprints on the sand that were washed away by the lapping waves now and again. Her skin gleamed softly in the sunlight, against the soft purple of the water, and she was all Amber would ever need to look at. If the sharks reminded her she could never be the same, Oksana brought her hope that the new her could be what this world needed. What she needed.
Amber didn’t press her about it for a while, assuming it was just one of those things people did. She reminded her of their time on the shoreside, before Founders’ Wake, when she used to walk for hours to gather resources for the community. Amber thought maybe she was looking for some plants they might be able to eat other than weird, tiny, three-pointed bananas —she did come back with something resembling kiwis one day. They were pretty good, if surprisingly nutty—. But one afternoon, Oksana finally showed her what it was she had been doing.

Living Well is Super Swell - Best Served Cold Chapter 7
It's day 7 of @tazsapphicweek and that means it's the final chapter of Best Served Cold. Prepare yourselves for some fluff!
Read below or on Ao3. Missed the start? Here's ch 1, ch 2, ch 3, ch 4, ch 5, and ch 6.
-
“Surprise!” They shout as Raven gently removes the blindfold from Istus.
Obviously Raven has already pre-prepared her, Istus likes to know what’s coming, but she still thinks it’s very sweet that they wanted to surprise her.
“Oh… oh goodness!” Despite the warning she’s still surprised by the amount of people here to join them. There’s the usual, wonderful suspects of course; but there’s also customers, people from the community projects, and the other shops too. Well, most of them, one pair of proprietors are conspicuously absent.
Istus doesn’t try and hide her joyful tears, why should she? “You’re all so wonderful!” She chokes out. “Thank you.”
Raven presses a handkerchief into her hand. “Here you are. Are you okay?”
Istus nods and leans into Raven’s side, her presence a constant source of comfort. Istus is fairly sure she could face the end of the world with her and feel a sense of peace.
“There’s one more surprise!” Carey shouts as she runs towards them and barrels into Istus’ open arms.
“Is it this hug?” Istus asks.
Killian laughs as she approaches, guiding a man wearing all black, gravity defying platform boots, and a fantastic amount of spider themed jewellery. “ No, Istus. It’s not the hug.” She gestures at the man with her. “This is Brian, he’s a photographer.”
“Hello darlings.” Brian says pleasantly. “This is going to be a lovely little photoshoot isn’t it?”
“Come on!” Carey wriggles free and drags Istus towards the benches.
Istus automatically sticks her hand out to grab Raven’s and tugs her along behind them, laughing all the way.
“Is this why you told me to dress in something I loved?” She asks over her shoulder, Carey an unstoppable force in front of her.
“Nope, this one was all them, I just wanted you to be comfortable.” Raven looks perplexed, but happy enough.
Hopefully she’s okay, she’s not always big on unexpected plans. Istus squeezes her hand, hoping to beam some comfort to her.
“Here you go! Get on the table.” Carey shoos them towards one of the bench seats. It’s Istus’ favourite, dark blue with silvery stars and lots of sparkly bits.
“I have a vision, we’re here to celebrate the tables, to celebrate you. I want to feel the joy! Feel the love!” Brian starts to back away, releasing his camera from a complex series of straps as he does.
“He’s really good, I promise.” Killian stage whispers.
“Madame?” Raven offers her arm. “May I help you onto this beautiful picnic bench?”
“Oh you’re too kind.” Istus says conversationally. “It is beautiful though, isn’t it? It has to be, I painted for a beautiful woman, I think of her every time I see it.” Istus takes Raven’s hand and pushes herself up onto the table, using the bench as a footrest. “If you come up here and join me I’ll let you in on a secret.”
Raven laughs and takes the hand Istus offers to help pull her up. She wobbles slightly, but Istus has her, and Raven flops successfully down next to her.
Istus leans in to whisper in her ear. “I put this one here so I can see it from the counter. Then I can think about you all day long.”
Raven turns, laughing, and kisses her quickly.
“You’re perfect.” Raven says against her lips.
“I’m not.” Istus won’t have any of that.
“You’re perfect for me.” Raven amends.
Istus can’t argue with that, so she kisses her back instead.
Are they ever going to stop?” Sloane asks Hurley.
The claps and cheers have settled into a slightly awkward slow clap.
“No.” Hurley replies. “But that’s why we’ve got Carey.”
She gives the nod.
Carey aims the hose very carefully and mists the air above Istus and Raven. It’s enough to shake them out of it.
“Sorry everybody!” Istus looks slightly shame faced.
“I’m not!” Raven shouts.
Istus leans in and whispers something to her, they both laugh.
“Right, who’d like some refreshments? I’m sure I have some cake out the back and…”
Istus’ musing is interrupted by Killian, who gently picks her up from the table and places her back on the ground, then holds an arm out for Raven. (Who doesn’t get the same joy out of being zooped through the air as Istus.)
There’s ice cream, there’s cake, there’s biscuits, and there’s so much joy. It’s a perfect celebration.
In the aftermath, they lounge around the kitschy counter in the shop.
“Thank you all.” Istus says, grabbing her trusty scoop. “Now who wants what?”
“We should celebrate your tables more often, this was fun.” Killian says. “My usual please, Istus.” She adds.
Istus scoops diligently and hands it over, sticking a flake in the precarious mountain of ice cream (so maybe she’s overserving today, maybe they deserve it.)
“Thank you!” Killian looks positively delighted.
“Dealer’s choice.” Says Sloane. “I trust you.”
“So you should.” Istus starts working on Sloane’s mystery cone. “Afterall, look how things worked out!” Istus smiles happily.
“What…er, what do you mean sorry?” Carey’s the one who breaks the moment of tense silence.
“Well, just like I told you girls, the best revenge is living well!” Istus adds another scoop to Sloane’s already precarious ice cream. “There’s no need for extreme action, everyone will get their comeuppance.” Istus smiles and hands the cone over. “Who’s next?”
“You’re so right.” Hurley says quickly.
“So right.” Echoes Raven, who definitely looks twitchy.
Sloane just clears her throat.
Istus adores them all.
“Istus! The photos are here! They put them on a stick!” Raven grabs it from the envelope and cracks open her new laptop. Well, her ‘new to her’ laptop, Kravitz said it would be faster than the computer and if she liked it they could pick out an actual new one together.
“Oooooh! That was quick!” Istus turns from the hob. “I’ll just be a minute.”
Raven plugs the stick in on the third try and clicks her way through to the folder. She doesn’t start without Istus though, it wouldn’t be right.
“Okay. Coffee for you, tea for me.” Istus sets the mugs down. “And a scone because you deserve a treat.” She places the plate to Raven’s side, kisses her on the cheek, and settles in the chair. “Okay, ready!”
Raven clicks twice and opens up magic.
“Oh.” They say together.
Istus and Raven are at the centre of the frame on the bench made of silvery stars in an inky blue evening sky. They’re completely wrapped up in each other, no attention paid to the camera. Raven clicks the next one and the setting is the same but now they’re laughing, then they’re kissing, then the camera has pulled back and Hurley and Sloane and Carey and Killian are on their own benches respectively and their friends and customers are in the background and it’s perfect. Picture perfect.
Raven arranges for two prints and is delighted by how fast they arrive. There’s one of them kissing, still laughing, radiating joy. It goes up in the lounge so she can look at it every day. The second one, though, the second one brings her joy in a different way. There’s a whole crowd of people around them as they wave from their tables, friends and colleagues and customers. But in the back, easily missable if you don’t know they’re there, are two twin faces etched in sour disappointment. Raven loves that they captured victory and defeat all in one shot.
In a dark shop, lights switched off so no one feels emboldened to come by and make yet another ridiculous complaint, Edward sniffs the air and wrinkles his nose. “Lydia? Why does it smell like fish?”

TAZ Sapphic Week: day 6
Been a busy week starting school, so I'm gonna just share an excerpt from the longform Amber/Oksana fic I've been trying to work on (do not get your hopes up, I write so rarely...)
--
Amber stared out at the crystal clear water of the creek, eyes forgetting the bob which floated closer to her. She was on fishing duty, as she often was, though this moving freshwater called for a steadier approach than the nets they used out on the ocean.
It was early in summer when the crew Amber had been travelling with set up camp at the base of the Einarr Plateau. As traders, the people of the Southern Archipelago often moved around with the seasons.
Her fishing today hadn’t been all that successful. She had caught a few fish and put them in the basket beside her, but it was creeping closer to dusk and she was getting bored.
How the fuck do other animals do this…? Other fish... Well they had the advantage of being in the water already. Osprey and crows could just swoop in with their talons… And… bears… Amber recalled the time she saw a grizzly, towering on its hind legs, swipe down into a river and pull out a giant salmon with its bear paws. Her dawning idea spread a grin across her face.
In her fishing waders and big boots, she took a big step into the water, then another, until she was firmly situated. Now she just had to wait. After a moment, a fish swam down, approaching her legs. She made her attack, and… fell short. The fucker slipped right out. Dammit… Oh, but here comes another one. Surely, this time… Okay. This approach was going to need some work.
A few fumbled fish later, she had managed to finally secure a decently sized one—maybe a foot long she'd guess? Amber tore it out of the water like it was fuckin' Excalibur. The fish flopped and wriggled around as she held it firmly near the tail. She lifted it up to look it in the eye, and it smacked her in the face. Growling and muttering, she walks over to the bank and puts the fish in her basket. A total of four mostly dead fish stare up at her.
She wipes her hands off on her sides, wipes them off each other, and turns around to take a deep breath and maybe go for another fish. That's when she sees her. Down the creek from her stood a girl—woman around Amber's age (she kept having to remind herself that; she was an adult. It was hard to see others her own age as adults. Maybe it was hard to see herself as adult, despite carrying the responsibility of one). She seemed to be staring rather intensely, a startled look on her face. Whether it was confusion, or fear, or disgust, Amber couldn't tell. Amber swivels her head to check the surrounding location, and— yeah. This woman was definitely looking at her.

Review-tribution - Best Served Cold Chapter 6
Day 6 of @tazsapphicweek so it's time for chapter 6 of Best Served Cold!
Read below or on Ao3. Missed the start? Here's ch 1, ch 2, ch 3, ch 4, and ch 5.
-
Sloane leaves Davenport a message, she’s very concerned about a company trading under the name she has trademarked. Hopefully he can help her sort out the confusion when he’s back from his voyage.
Raven doesn’t check her phone until the morning after their date. She’s alternately furious and delighted to see what they found. Thank goodness for friends, she could never have proved this on her own. It’s too early to tell Istus yet, they need some more evidence behind them, but they’ll get them. They can’t be allowed to get away with this. They won’t be allowed to get away with this.
It doesn’t take long to swap out the QR codes. Hurley and Sloane easily dupe and switch out the posters.
It turns out that one of the benefits of owning your own website is being able to delete the negative reviews.
It turns out that when ‘you’ direct everyone to a different website which you’re not in control of, your 5 stars perfect rating (from names which, on a quick cross examination by Hurley, largely match the ones on the complaint emails) drops quite dramatically.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The owners were so rude and the portions are tiny.
Weird texture Everything is just so powdery? For the price they charged me I expected more. I won’t be going back.
Do they even want customers there? I have never been so aggressively negged by staff members before. I called my therapist when Ieft.
They wouldn’t let me take anything branded The staff said that they didn’t want their brand to be associated with me and wouldn’t let me have any of the cups with the logo on. It wasn’t even that nice! If they don’t want to be associated with me then I certainly won’t be back.
Hurley approves all of the new reviews. There’s a carousel of terrible feedback on the main page now, she set it to cycle through the comments. She’s sure that there’ll be an influx of good ones once they realise, but they don’t seem to have yet.
“Hey, Raven! Look.” Hurley turns her phone round, delighted smile on her face.
“Hang on, let me get my glasses.” Raven is so glad she finally caved and got a chain for them, no more forgetting where she last put them down... Well, she’s so glad Istus found one that was tiny bones and ravens and therefore was too good not to use. “What am I looking at?”
“Facebook.” Hurley says, like that will mean something to her.
Raven looks blankly back at her in the hope she’ll explain.
Hurley doesn’t even roll her eyes, which Raven appreciates. “It’s The Good Lick Store’s Facebook page. They made one when they realised… somebody…” Hurley looks side to side shiftily… “had made another website and they must have figured that whoever it was would also nab their Facebook page if they didn’t set it up. People are leaving reviews. Lots of them. They can’t delete them on there either!”
“These are bad.” Raven says, scrolling slowly through the list of complaints about quality and customer service. She’s smug to see how many people recommend going to Happy Scoops instead.
“They’re really bad.” Hurley confirms.
Raven loves to hear the joy in her voice. The last few weeks have been a stew of tension and worry, it’s nice to feel like the tide is turning. Hurley’s joy bubbles over into a laugh and soon Raven joins her, it’s irresistible.
Sloane snuggles into her side as Hurley presses send on the email.
“And you’re sure that’ll be anonymous?” She asks.
“Absolutely.” Hurley says. “All of the evidence, but no way of knowing where it came from.” She doesn’t bother trying to keep the smug tone out of her voice. They all deserve a win, and the management company deserves to know the truth about who has been ‘complaining’ about Happy Scoops.
It doesn’t hurt to add screenshots of the reviews, but that’s just for her own gratification.
Sloane plants a kiss on her shoulder. “You’re a brain genius and I love you.”
Hurley closes the laptop and pulls Sloane into her lap. “I love you too.”
“Istus! I’m so sorry, I heard what happened.” Cherity looks genuinely bereft.
“Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, Charity, but I’m afraid I don’t quite follow?” Istus hands over Cherity’s usual cone.
“You know, dear, the…” Cherity looks to the side furtively and whispers “... the fro yo people.”
“Oh, well, you know, there’s plenty of space for two businesses.” Istus tries to smile as brightly as she usually would. There’s no need to trouble customers with this, no matter how friendly they are.
“No no, what they did. We know it was them who cancelled the events. Ziad told us in the group thread.”
“The what, sorry?” Istus stares blankly.
“They posted something on the wrong Facebook account, and Ziad took a picture and sent it, and then Mustafa told us about how confused you were about the cancellations and we put it together. May the gods have mercy on their souls, but we certainly haven’t in the comments. Anyway, goodbye dear, I’ve got to pick up Mercy from play group, but we’re with you!” Cherity drops her bombshell and leaves.
“Raven?” Istus asks. “Do you know how to make Facebook happen?” She shuffles the sparkly, cloud shaped mouse of their elderly computer again to see if that can speed up the ever spinning wheel on the screen.
Raven creases her brow as she looks up from the book she’s reading. “Is this a test, beloved? Do you think I’m some kind of replicant?”
Istus takes a deep breath so she doesn’t accidentally sound terse. It is definitely an out of character request, but she needs to work out what’s going on. “No. I just need to get on. Cherity said something odd today and I just want to check what she meant.”
“It’s definitely a website. You have to type in the bar at the top for those.” Raven says, letting her glasses fall on the chain and pushing herself out of the seat. Istus has long since stopped teasing her about the grumbling noises when she does it (since she started doing them too, in fact).
The computer finally chugs to life and lets Istus click on the kind swooshy fox that takes her to the internet (Kravitz let her pick her favourite one, and the fox was much more fun than the coloured ball). “This one?”
“I think that’s the google bar which is different. But try putting facebook in there anyway?” Raven leans down, uncertain, one hand on the back of Istus’ chair, and squints at the screen.
Istus types ‘Facebook’ into the bar and waits.
“Do you think we should get a faster one?” Raven asks as they both watch the spinny wheel on the screen.
“Maybe we can ask the boys?” Istus muses, leaning back to rest against Raven as the computer screen goes black and then starts to load the next page.
Raven rubs her chin against the top of Istus’ head, and Istus smiles up at her despite the fact that Raven can’t see. It’s easy to send up a thought of gratitude for this moment. Istus spends a lot of time thinking about the future, it’s a good thing, it’s why her business has lasted so long, it’s why they have the house, it’s how they can afford to retire if they ever get round to it. But sometimes, sometimes it’s important to stay in the here and now, and being here with her wife is a wonderful now to stay in.
“There we go.” Raven points at the screen. “You need to log in.”
“Huh… where’s the little book got to?” Istus cracks the desk drawer.
“I’ll tell Kravitz on you.” Raven’s smile is evident in her voice.
“You wouldn’t!” Istus plays along as she shuffles papers aside. “My love, how could you betray me like this?”
“But if you write your passwords down then everyone can steal them.”
“I don’t have anything to steal in the computer.” Istus finds the little book rammed right at the book. “Anyway, Taako gave me the book because he was sick of us calling to get them to do the reset thing.”
“A wise man.” Raven nods.
“Shall we use yours?” Istus is fairly sure hers doesn’t work anymore after the time she kept mixing up the order of the numbers and exclamation marks Kraitz said she needed.
“Go on then.” Raven reads her the details and Istus types. It’s a well practised routine.
“I’m in!”
“What are you looking for now?” Raven leans back down to peer with her.
“Well, Cherity said that The Good Lick Store posted something strange in the wrong place.” Istus types the shop’s name into the search bar, proud not to have to ask this time.
Their name pops up next to their logo - Istus has begun to think it more garish than fun as time goes on… though that may be more to do with the shop’s owners than anything else.
“I don’t see anything.” Istus says.
“Try scrolling down?” Raven suggests.
Istus moves the mouse down, nothing happens.
“I think you use the wheely bit.” Raven points.
Istus tries again and the page shoots by until there’s a blank spot and the loading wheel comes up again.
“Maybe try a tad slower?”
Istus moves the wheel gingerly the opposite way and Raven fully drapes herself over Istus’ shoulders.
“Hmmm, maybe they deleted it.” Istus shrugs. “Nevermind.”
“How many fish?” Carey asks Killian
“Not that many.” Killian smiles the smile of someone who has hidden an amount of fish very north of not that many in a frozen yoghurt shop.
Carey smirks and nods. “...and I assume you’ll need a shower, you know, because of the not very many fish juice.” She wiggles her eyebrows.
“You can’t talk about fish juice and seduce me!” Killian groans and pretends to push her away, pulling her closer instead.
“Can’t I?” Carey grins happily as Killian groans.
“It’s you, not the fish juice.” Killian scoops Carey into her arms.
“To the bathroom!” Carey points the way.
Sloane smiles, grimly satisfied with her work. She slips away into the shadows.
“It’s just terrible, what happened to the sign.” Carey says.
“So awful.” Killian nods.
“Sadly there’s no leads on who was responsible.” Hurley shakes her head. “I’ve been trying to figure it out all morning, but there’s simply no evidence.”
“Such a shame to see mindless vandalism like that.” Sloane shakes her head. “What is the world coming to?”
Raven barks a laugh and tries to quickly cover it with a cough. “Mmhmm, terrible.”
“It is a little bit funny.” Istus says, primly. “Such a shame those letters were in the sign in that order.”
Raven looks up surprised.
“Of course, no one here would have stooped so low.” Istus narrows her eyes at them all in turn. “But hopefully they can repair it easily enough…” There’s a long pause and Istus adds in a stage whisper. “Did any of you get a photograph?”
It takes three days before the sign is repaired. Raven makes sure to pass by at least once on each and every one of them. Partly to glare at the twins through the window and partly to enjoy the sight of the queues dwindling. The sourness on the faces of the hosts increases with each visit.
Raven’s busy scarfing down a sandwich between appointments when her phone ba-bings, then pings again, and again.
Istus’ Army Hurley: Quick! Everyone! It’s happening Hurley: Check this out!
The link she sends next takes Raven to a statement.
We are a group of concerned locals and we’re calling for a boycott of The Good Lick Store. They have been sabotaging other businesses (see screenshots attached). They created a fake profile to reduce other business’ revenue and, in the process, took away a community lifeline. They selfishly put profit in front of people. We’re not going to stand for it, and you shouldn’t either. Don’t let yourselves be used to harm the businesses who are there for our community!
Underneath sit three screenshots of posts from The Good Lick Store’s new Facebook page, clearly written as if they were Happy Scoops (cancelling yet more events).
“Incredible.” Raven laughs to herself as other messages begin to pop up.
Sloane: YES! Killian: Take that, dick store! Killian: Carey says “wahoo with three exclamation marks at least” Raven: Good job Hurley Hurley: Not guilty! It wasn’t me. Raven: Then… who? Carey: Yeah, who’s our saviour? Hurley: Customers Hurley: I messaged the page after I saw the post, it turns out it’s people who come to the events, they’re furious. Raven: OH. Istus did say that Cherity mentioned something about Facebook. We couldn’t find anything though. Hurley: They’re obviously angry about being lied to, but coming after Istus? It’s never going to be good PR Hurley: Wait, Raven, you went on Facebook????? Killian: Are you reading the comments? Please read the comments Hurley: Incredible Killian: I think it has broken Carey, she just keeps snort laughing. Raven: How do I get there? Hurley: Hang on.
A screenshot pops up in the chat.
Francisco ‘A boycott won’t be hard, the ice cream’s shit anyway.’ The Good Lick Store ‘It’s not ice cream, it’s frozen yoghurt.’ Francisco ‘Sorry, my bad. It won’t be hard, the frozen yoghurt is shit anyway.’
Raven: You’re not supposed to argue with people on the internet, Kravitz said. Hurley: Kravitz is very very right. Sloane: I’ve gone on a deep dive. Did you see their statement? Hurley: Share with the class?
A screenshot quickly follows. The Good Lick Store believes in quality, belives in luxury, believes in pursuing your dream. Our dream is to bring you sophisticated flavours, challenging topping combinations, and real-world business practices. We believe in our product and we believe in challenging our competition. In business there’s always a winner.
Sloane: But wait for this
Another screenshot of the first comment. Aoife: ‘Well the winner’s not you, is it?”

TAZ Sapphic Week: Day 5: A conversation with Lady Godwin
I was going to post an excerpt from what I do have for my longfic of Amber and Kodira (shore to shore) but I figured I would save that for tomorrow because I decided to finally double down and write a silly idea I've had. It's short but sweet (it's not sweet).
Without further ado I present to you the 270 words I pumped out right off the dome right now.

Darla considers the offer. A hardworking, halfway-honest detective like her, tangling with some lowlife inbetweener? It would be utterly scandalous. So of course she agrees.
Day five of sapphic week! Time for some graveldarla that has been simmering on the back burner for like, nearly half a year. Steeplechase yuri fans rejoice
