Lets get Fit
Physical activity is a key way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have been an athlete all of my life partaking in sports such as basketball, baseball, and football. While playing these sports I have been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle from consistent workouts and drills that have helped as well. But this is not the case for all people; all people are different and have different motivations that may distract them from going to the gym several days during the week. Lack of activity can cause obesity, heart problems, and can lead to diabetes. It only takes two to three days out of the week to start your self towards a more proactive lifestyle. In this blog I will be giving different tips and strategies for people to start their path on a more healthy and proactive lifestyle.
Step 1:
Before attending a gym or beginning the workout process there must be different goals set for that person to accomplish. For example, someone may want to do things that will help them lose weight, while some people on the contrary want to utilize the gym to gain weight, muscle, and tone up. Goals have to be set and be attainable. Start off setting small goals for yourself, like attending a gym or doing some type of physical activity three days out of the week.
 Step 2: when coming up with your work out routines space out different target areas that you want to work on. For instance Mondays could be leg days, Wednesdays could be upper body, Fridays could be cardio and abs, just different things to help keep you organized and focused. Then giving you some rest days in between to let your body recover.
 Step 3: some people are self-conscious and don’t like having to be around tons of people at the gym. To combat this you could do workouts from the own comfort of your home. With resistance bands, to free weights, jump ropes and etc. Even taking walks or jogs around your neighborhood is beneficial.

Workout partners
Workout partners
 In this blog today I will be talking about how beneficial it is to have a good workout partner in the gym. I workout at least 3 to 4 times a week because I have a consistent workout partner who has the same goals as me, which is to cut weight and stay toned. Everybody has those days where they are feeling lazy and groggy and have no desire to get off their feet. When you have a workout partner who can motivate you and push you to make you want to better your self then you have something good going.
 For a lot of people it takes that extra push to get things done. When you have a partner in the weight room you can try extra weight as well as more reps, knowing that you have someone there to help you if need be. Also learning different workouts from each other, and demonstrating different workouts to each other if one isn’t doing the exercises right. As well as pushing each other in the gym to see who can do more weight or more reps, which only makes both or more partners, work harder. Â
 From my experience of working out alone I would go to the gym here and there but I wouldn’t get as much done as I would with a partner. As well as playing athletics when I would workout with my sports teams it was just encouraging having people there to help you and pump you up to get different workouts done.  This isn’t the case for everybody, some people enjoy going to the gym by themselves to just get away and relieve stress. But if you ask me finding a good workout partner is the best route to go for the best results.

The Monstarz
This past season we saw the warriors just dominate the regular season onto the post season. Â The warriors ended up acquiring one of the best corers in the game, which just made the game so much easier for the warriors. But even before getting Kevin Durant, the warriors were still a championship team with one of the best points guards in the league and maybe one of the best shooters of all time steph curry. Â Also having two other players Draymond green, who won defensive player of the year in 2016-2017 season and klay Thompson, one of the best shooters in the NBA arguably the best shooter between him and steph curry, who were both selected to the all star team the past two seasons. The warriors have since then won two years in a row.
With Kevin Durant being added to the team this fills up their roster with four total all stars, and two of them are superstars. Even with four all stars their bench is complimented with the likes of Andre iguodala, Nick Young, Shaun Livingston, and Javele McGee. With a team full of four all stars they are tough to handle. This past off-season the warriors didn’t really need to make any big moves to stay solidified as a championship team. But they may have made one of the biggest moves in the offseason for the upcoming season. The warriors ended up acquiring one of the best big men in the league Demarcus cousins. A four time all star, averaging 20 points and more the past few seasons. Demarcus Cousins recently has been injured but the warriors are expecting a great comeback for the big 6’11 beast.
This now means the warrior’s roster is now filled with five all stars. How do you beat a team that has the best point guard in the game, one of the best shooting guards in the game maybe the best shooter in the league, the best scorer in the league Kevin Durant, then one of the best defensive players in the NBA at power forward, and now the best big man in the league.  This is going to be a great season.

True to the game
Basketball has always been one of my favorite sports, since I was kid. Growing up I was always outside playing basketball or just dribbling a ball to pass time. My dad was a pretty good basketball player and ended up playing college ball, and some overseas but never made it any further. When I was younger I didn’t take basketball seriously, I just played for fun, because I was really into baseball at the time. When I started baseball I went from an outfielder, to shortstop, to becoming a pitcher. But once I started playing basketball heading into my middle school year a lot of people would tell me I was really good, and should try to pursue basketball.
 My first year in middle school, I came into tryouts very nervous, and unconfident amongst all of the players. I was timid because I was so much smaller than everybody. Ending the tryout, I had thought I would make the team because I did some good things here and there, and thought I had the coach’s attention. But, I was wrong. I didn’t make the basketball team my middle school year. I knew I was good enough to play, so I had to make sure it was undeniable the next year that I should be on the team.
 In the summer I worked very hard, and was in the gym almost everyday getting up shots, working on my game, and working out to stay in shape. Summer ball came around and I ended up on a team with a lot of my friends who ended up making the team when I didn’t. I ended up being ranked in the state of Kentucky for upcoming 7th graders. As the next year approached for middle school basketball the coach already knew me, and told me that he had high hopes for me. I ended up making the team my 7th grade year and 8th.
 If you work hard and set your mind to do something it can be done with perservance and hard work. Â
