there were cons and pros to drinking : a pro was that his lips wouldn’t be touching any alcohol until his sweet twenty-first ( he was not a fan of the consequences that camewith pouring the devil’s drink into one’s body ) , and a sad con ... carrying his drunkfriends to their bed . unfortunately , talcott was in such a situation as he carriedprompto towards his bedroom . the smell of alcohol was strong on the blonde’sbreath with each exhale and it took all of talcott’s strength not to drop him rightthen and there . the smell made his stomach do flips and twist in ways he neverwanted to experience again for a long time . making it to the small room , talcottdropped prompto onto the bed and settled down beside him . another con to adrunk friend was undressing them to prevent then from vomiting on their clothes .if they were to make a mess , on themselves -- torn and worn clothing would bethe best to ruin . with the rise of demons , their storage of clothes was shorting with each battle . ruining good clothes with vomit did not sound like a great idea .

with a tired sigh , talcott stripped prompto from his jacket to place it aside beforemoving to his shirt -- that’s when he heard his slurred words . pausing , talcottpaused and asked for prompto to repeat his question . if the older was aboutto vomit , he needed to grab a bucket and move out of the way . no way washe going to get any of those body fluids on himself . however , as promptorepeated his previous sentence , talcott could not believe his ears . promptorevealed that he loved him . ( of course he does . he’s family ) . he assuredhimself and yet , the way prompto’s glossed over eyes looked to him . heknew that this was not the type of love his mind was explaining to him .

tiny prompto climbs on talcotts back, he's never letting go now.

talcott worked quietly on his truck , scrubbing the recent dirt and grime as much as hecould in the dim light . he knew well that it would be dirty again in the next few days butthe idea of his truck being nice was too tempting to pass up . after all , he’s seen sometrucks be ran down and never taken care of -- not his pretty lady . she was the first carhe’s ever received and he plans on keeping her well maintained for as long as he can .for a while , the night was quiet and talcott hummed to drive himself away from losinghis mind by the silence . however , his humming soon turned into a surprised shout .

something was crawling onto his back and his hand reached for his gun while glancingover his shoulder to see what he’d be up against . when dark eyes met blonde hair anda smile , his hand retreated back to his thigh and talcott sighed loud and heavy in relief .
