Hey everyone, River here. I just wanted to say a huge thank you as well as sorry for my own personal flops in activity. However, words cannot express how grateful I am for all of you, past and present, for coming on this journey with me. Under the cut, you’ll find the hopes I had for all three of my guys and if you ever need to talk or want to continue this journey with a 1x1, I’ll be right here.

Felix Noah Thompson - He would eventually come out to a student/faculty member he trusted, revealing both his sexuality and marriage to Elijah. One by one, the numbers of people he told would grow until eventually, he no longer feared being outed. He’d always be worried about getting a negative reaction, but knowing that hopefully, so many people would have his back, he’d be comfortable even coming out to the whole world.

Phoenix James Tremblay - This firebird would eventually start becoming more open about revealing parts of his life. His sexuality, his true passion for art, and so many more things. Phoenix would learn that there might be haters in every crowd, much like Felix would, but that it’s fine to embrace your differences from everyone else in the world.

Asher Ezra Owens - In time, it would be revealed whether by a third party or Asher himself that his younger brother, Wyatt, is actually his son. He might have gone home for awhile to be with his family and Wyatt especially before heading back to Ivywood to ride through whatever metaphorical storm was being created or just stay, either way, he’d become a stronger man like the two before him.

“you talk a lot of nonsense that nobody actually listens to. we all just pretend to listen and understand you when behind your back we talk shit. you’re literally a fucking joke.” sophia laughed mischievously. she knew she was wrong for the words she said, but she wanted him to hurt the way she was. she was over the fake smiles and wanted to break him.

Be the better person, be the better person, the teacher repeated to himself mentally, not unlike a mantra. “Maybe you’re telling the truth, but honestly, I don’t care. I once had some people I wholeheartedly trusted swear horrible things about me under their breath for no reason other than hatred about a certain part of myself. Laugh and whisper all you care, it won’t get you very far,” Felix responded.

“please do. we don’t need that mixing in with our dance music, thank you.” sophia answered in a snarky tone. her face instantly started to twist at all the words he was saying, prompting her to rub her temples. who told her to drink in the middle of the day anyways?? her head was pounding and his word vomit didn’t make it any better. “what?? what the fuck are you even talking about?? you talk way too much, honestly.” sophia grumbled. “all i asked was for you to turn down the music, not a fucking shitty analogy or whatever the hell that was.”

Felix nodded to show he understood when it came to keeping the volume down, however the next set of words made concern flash across his face for a moment along with a flash what felt like...hurt? No, Felix was a teacher, he needed to keep his cool no matter who was having a bad day. Taking a deep breath and putting an understanding smile on his face, he answered, “I’ll also keep talking to the bare minimum. Sorry about the tangent, Sophia, won’t happen again outside of class.”

“we can hear you and your music all the way down the hall. pipe the fuck down.” sophia grouched with squinted eyes once she followed the sound of the music. she had spent a few minutes in the hallway trying to recollect herself before going back into the gym for practice when she heard the music. of course it wasn’t that loud, but any chance to be dramatic, sophia was going to take. especially since she had a few shots flowing through her system.

“My apologies Sophia, I’ll be sure to keep the volume down,” Felix promised with a good natured smile. Heading back to his laptop, the drama teacher muted the song for the time being, inquiring, “I’m going to take a wild guess and say that’s what brought you here? Should have known that playing music while hanging decorations wouldn’t be a wise choice, but as the wise ones say, hindsight is always 20/20.”

“oh my gosh, don’t stop!! i love that song so much!!” aurora exclaimed, walking in with a handful of flyers. “i can tell you like halloween as much as i do!!” she grinned, admiring all of his decorations around his classroom. “what are you gonna be??”

“Well, I’m glad you love the song as much as I do and loving Halloween is also quite true. I believe I might go as Evan Hansen from Dear Evan Hansen, but I’ll have to run it by anybody who dreamed of a pairs costume with your local nerd of a drama teacher,” Felix rattled off, smile brightening all the while.

Annie wanted to come by and see Felix about the performance they had coming up. She had a song picked out but she wanted to inquire about possibly using her own cover of the song. When she approached the classroom, she laughed when she saw the man singing to himself. “I’m sorry to interrupt.”, she grinned. “I was wondering if we could talk about the assignment?”

“Quite alright Annie, decorations can always wait a few more moments. You and your classmates always come first,” Felix responded as he went to pause the music. Walking back over, he inquired in his usual friendly tone, yet it also easily revealed his desire to help his students in any situation, “So, questions about the assignment, you say? I hope it’s coming along relatively well altogether though.”

Miles was walking down the halls when he heard Thriller playing on one of the classrooms and decided to check what was going on. Leaning on the doorway as he watched the teacher for a while, the blonde smiled as the older male looked up and noticed him. “Hey, Mr. Thompson. Do you need help here?”

“Hey Miles and I could use a pair of helping hands,” he answered before noticing that some lights he’d strung up on the wall had fallen. “Or maybe two pairs, but those should be an easy fix. Guess that my reputation as a disaster with legs has followed me over from England,” Felix added with a small laugh.

Venus’s eyes widened a bit, “Oh! Can I help? I’m super good at holiday decoration, I was best in my class in middle school!” she smiled and looked at him with puppy eyes.

“You most definitely can, I could definitely use some helping hands,” the 25 year old answered with a friendly smile. “Plus, I trust my students’ eyes more than I trust my own if we’re being honest. Never been the best with decorations, my childhood bedroom is proof of that,” Felix added, a small chuckle towards the end.

Sebastian gave a small chuckle hearing the teacher. “Am I interrupting anything, Wacko Jacko?” He raised an eyebrow. It was sometimes odd to see teachers as humans rather than robots forced to make students feel like shit, but Mr. Thompson was always the exception.  “I mean, really, truly lovely voice - but I wouldn’t want to bother you.”

Felix mustered up a chuckle as he adjusted a few more decorations, “Well, aren’t you the king of cutting edge wit? Thank you very much for the compliment and my students are never a bother.” It was true, the drama teacher made it a point that his classroom was open to those who took his class as well as those who didn’t. “What’s on your mind?” he inquired as he went to pause the music.

“’Cause this is Thriller, Thriller night,” Felix sang to himself, the aforementioned song drifting from his laptop as he was putting up Halloween decorations in his classroom. Call the drama teacher lame or whatever, put he didn’t mind getting in the holiday spirits and he hoped that his students would feel the same way. “’Cause I can thrill you more than any ghoul would ever dare try,” he continued, yet the singing quickly became speaking as Felix noticed someone in the doorway.

“Oh very!” she nodded and smiled brightly, “It’s my favorite holiday besides Valentines day.” she said as she kept a bar of chocolate for herself.

“Both are quite amazing holidays, I agree wholeheartedly,” Felix responded as he carefully pulled out his phone, checking the date. “Which reminds me, I need to decorate my classroom.”

“Guys! I totally forgot its October! I have so much candy to give out!” she she as she hussled over with candy in her hand, “It’s the good stuff, too!”

“Thank you very much,” Felix replied with a friendly smile as he carefully took the piece of candy. “Excited for Halloween, I’m guessing?”

Starting the car, Elijah pulled out of their driveway and began heading towards the shop. “That sounds adorable- it would suit her,” he agreed, briefly glancing away from the road to smile at Felix. “Can you imagine if we all had matching sweaters? We’d be like our own little family.”

“That would be super adorable, all of us in matching sweaters. Sounds like we’ve already got our holiday greeting cards all set up,” Felix responded with a smile that felt unbelievably bright. “If there’s enough money left over in the budget from getting all the necessities, then let’s definitely get some absolutely adorable sweaters.”

Elijah beamed as they made their way to their car, holding the door open for Felix. “Zoe will undoubtedly make our already perfect life even better, she’s already such a joy,” he agreed as he climbed into the drivers’ seat. “What color collar should we get her? Oh- should we get her clothes? Imagine her in a sweater!”

“Thank you and I agree wholeheartedly,” Felix stated as he cuddled Zoe just a hint more. When Elijah spoke again, his full attention went right back to his husband. Giving a small chuckle, the 25 year old gave a grin as he thought about the sweater. “Maybe a yellow collar if they have those and a sweater would definitely be adorable.”

“I believe in you! You can do it.” she moved out of the way and gave him room. She remembered when a good half of the baseball team took turns pitching and she was so scared.

“And thank you again for the encouragement,” Felix replied before throwing the ball. With that, the 25 year old aimed carefully and threw the ball, watching as it flew out of his hand yet turned away before he could learn if it hit the mark.

“Come on, I know you can do it!” Venus picked up a baseball in her hand and kissed it, “It even has the luck of Venus on it’s side, your chance of hitting the bottles are doubled!”

“Well, aren’t you a major sweetheart?” Felix remarked as he carefully took the baseball. “Thank you very much for the luck blessing, here’s to hoping that this will work.”

Elijah smiled widely, wrapping his arm around Felix as they walked. “Don’t worry, I can never hear it enough, Felix Thompson. I love you more than anything and I’m glad I could make you so happy with our new addition to the family. I don’t even know how I’ll handle all this joy with both you and Zoe in my life.”

“Something tells me that we’ll figure out what to do with all of the joy,” Felix answered before aiming to press a small kiss to Elijah’s lips. “You are singlehandedly the most amazing person ever, without a doubt. I’m looking forward to continuing this amazing journey with you and Zoe. No matter what in the world happens, as long as I’ve got you, then the day will end perfectly.”
