Tik Tok Banned in India
TikTok, the user created video sharing application from Chinese developer Bytedance that has been a global runaway achievement, has lurched hard in one of the world's greatest mobile markets, India, over illegal content in its application.
Today, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of Government of India, requested both Apple and Google to remove the application from its app stores, as per a solicitation from High Court in Chennai after the last explored and established that the application — which has a huge number of clients, including minors — was empowering erotic entertainment and other unlawful substance.
This is the second time in two months that TikTok's content has been dinged by the regulators and the application was fined $5.7 million by the FTC in the US over violating child protection policies.
The request in India does not affect the 120 million clients in the nation who have the application downloaded, or those  who may download it from a source outside of Google's authentic Android store. However, it's a solid strike against TikTok that will obstruct its development, hurt its notoriety, and possibly make ready for further authorizes or fines against the application in India.
