Roam (designer: Ryan Laukat) Near game end. It's a small box game set in Arzium, as so many of his games are. We love the characters and flavor text!

Space Base. We've really been playing this a lot lately! With the Dreadnought promo pack and Biodome Expansion (though we used base game Colony cards in this particular game). We've been playing the Lightspeed variant a lot lately, too.

And this, my friends, is why we were so thrilled that the Game Topper has a card rail🤣🤣🤣 On the table: Ticket to Ride, Nordic Countries 🚂🛤 Cards get out of hand more often playing TtR games than any other game, including cards-only games🤣🃏🃏🃏🃏

I supposed we should've put something massive and spectacular for the first game on the Game Topper, but we went for a perennial favorite instead, Carcassonne. If you look closely you may spot some of the Spring expansion tiles! The only downside? My green meeples blended into the Ryan Laukat mat, so once I thought I was out of meeples when I still had one left🤣

Below: Meeples cavorting in the trees of Arzium🌳😆

So today this happened: we got a Game Topper for our dining room table!🎉 Ryan Laukat mat, a ton of collapsible cup holders (which will hold a big mug of tea safely and easily), a Lazy Susan component tray. Love the flexibility of this system. We can keep our dining table and convert it as needed. (We also got the dining cover so we can leave big games set up if we wish and still have a usable table for eating or playing other games.)

Yesterday was International Tabletop Day. We celebrated by going to Trading Post Day at our FLGS, buying Dominion Prosperity expansion (from the store), then coming home & playing 2 seasons of Mythwind, finishing up our first "year"! (Pic is from game last weekend.)

I went all-in on an extinction strategy🤣 playing Chomp, just to see what happens. (I won, but just barely. Definitely need more non-goal points if I try this again!) Tap to see both goal cards.

I really stacked up cards on these numbers😆🚀🚀 Space Base with Dreadnought & Biodome expansions. (Used base game Colony cards instead of Biodome Colony cards, but all the ship cards from both expansions were rolled in.)

First game of Trailblazers was utterly chaotic. My gameplay can only get better😆

Played Century Spice Road with these two sets of promo cards. We did have some of these cards come up in the market, and they were very helpful! We're definitely keeping these cards rolled into the base game!

Got the Black Market promo cards for Dominion a while back. I thought it would be a fun way to introduce new cards into the game. We played with it for the first time yesterday (2 games). We liked it, but it wasn't clear how many cards should be put into the Black Market setup deck, so I did 10 different random cards from unused Kingdom cards...because Kingdom decks are 10 cards. We ran through that setup deck quickly, until we were rejecting the last 3 cards over and over, so I think that setup deck needs to be bigger, like cards from all the unused Kingdom decks, including expansions. With the +2💰 on the Black Market cards and surprise cards you can buy when it's played, the Black Market promo deck is a fun addition to the game!

I really like Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries; because our most common player count is 2, with 3 occasionally, this is kind of perfect🚂

I recently got a couple of expansions/promo cards for Space Base. Here's pics of the cards and some notes about them.

This is the Dreadnought promo pack. 1 ship card for each sector, all Level 2 ship cards. The rewards are generally good, & some are interesting. There's a tiny lightning bolt on the blue/red divider if you want to separate them out, but we like them, so we're just keeping them rolled into the Level 2 ship deck. Likewise for the ship cards in the Biodome expansion (below), which consist of 4 cards each in Level 1, 2, and 3 decks.

Besides the obviously nice rewards, these 12 cards can be put in any sector! Which is very helpful if the ship market isn't turning up what you need. So, yeah, these will also stay shuffled into the ship market decks. We really liked these!
The Biodome expansion also has 2 full sets of Colony cards. Besides the points, they also have other benefits, some one-time benefits and some ongoing.

The pic on the left shows the 1-6 cards and on the right the 7-12 cards.
We played 1 game with the Dreadnought promo pack (loved it), then another with the Biodome expansion also rolled in, just using the Biodome Colony cards (shuffled together and then dealt out 1 for each sector). Finally, a third game with both expansions, and the Colony cards from the base game and Biodome shuffled together and dealt out to appropriate sectors. This worked fine. And we really loved the ship cards that we could put in any sector!
I think it likely that we'll also play with just the Colony cards from the base game and the ship cards from both expansions. Good stuff!

Recently got Popcorn Dice, trying to find a dice game on the table that scratches the same itch as Martian Dice on BGA. Supposedly Martian Dice will (eventually) be reprinted, but who knows?🤷♀️ Popcorn Dice has the simplicity and push-your-luck elements of Martian Dice, but feels more luck-driven, less tense, less satisfying. Fast mindless fun. Sometimes you need a quick low stakes game you don't need to think about much. And I like popcorn 🍿😋
