I never gave fictional worldbuilding that much attention until I met people here who are very purposeful about how they approach it. And in doing that I guess I started to see the other side of that, which is, people who go about world building from such an unique place and I dont mean it in a positive way, and it really says so much.

like "well all the people from this fictional continent I just made up are all from the same race and all behave the same way, due to the fact that they're from the same race lol" or "this kingdom or successful piece of territory thrives because they're better than the rest, they have food from all around the world at all times of the year and that's because they're better than the rest"

all I'm saying is that being aware not from a place of me creating anything, but consuming other people's take on world building, made me way more cognizant of the fact that for a lot of people you can really see the threads of how they see life outside of the fiction they write and consume. you know what I mean?
