Various college students are showing up in droves to protest against the ongoing genocide that is currently happening in Palestine.
And yet the people who have the biggest online platforms continue to stay silent out of fear of getting blacklisted or fired.
What a goddamn time to be alive.

The Rafah invasion would be so catastrophic that even Biden momentarily called it a red line, though of course he walked it back.
It's hard to say something could be worse than what's already happened, nothing I could say wouldn't already apply, but this would massively increase the scale of this ongoing atrocity. Any pressure that can be brought to bear to stop it must be applied.

Instead of making fun of people who do things at an older age that are normally done younger ( like getting their diploma or GED, learning to drive, even learning to read ) how about you:

You’re not less deserving of rest if you didn’t have a productive day. It’s okay to be just tired. You don’t even need to be having a pain flare up, or a relapse, or chronic fatigue, or to have slept poorly last night to validate your exhaustion. You don’t need to justify feeling tired to anyone. You are human and you deserve rest no matter what. Don’t beat yourself up for not being as productive as you wished you were, for being tired and burned out. Take care of yourself, and do it unashamedly because rest shouldn’t be earned, neither should any of your needs. That’s all they are: your body is signaling to you that it is tired, or hungry, or thirsty or sleepy. Your body is not worse than others for needing those things, even if you think it needs more rest than other people do. It’s not broken, it’s not bad, it’s just telling you what needs so it can keep going. Take care of those needs, don’t blame it on yourself, please don’t let guilt make you feel ashamed of needing anything. 🌱

LAST NIGHT: our comrades at columbia took hamilton hall, which they are now calling hind's hall in honor of the six year old girl hind rajab who was martyred in gaza back in january after calling for paramedics to come and save her from her family's car that had been attacked by the iof. hamilton/hind's hall was also occupied in columbia's 1968 simultaneous anti war and anti gentrification protests, this reoccupation of the same place all these years later is so powerful.

"We Need You," Wrote Children in Gaza to U.S. Students During a Rally on Sunday. Palestinians held the gathering to show support for student protests that have swept across the U.S. Dozens of children in Gaza gathered to send a message to these students: Thank you.
Campuses across the country are ramping up their pro-Palestinian demonstrations, including camping out in tents and disrupting business-as-usual. After more than 900 U.S. students were arrested in April for protesting Israel's war on Gaza, the movement shows no signs of slowing down. Many students face disciplinary action, such as suspension, expulsion or permanent bans from campus.
