Bloom

Our love has finally been created

as we now live in a garden of Eden

with the flowers in bloom

we now both make room

for the love to each other we’ve given

I look into your eyes

I think they look like a meadow of roses

one that smothers

us two lovers

that lets us in, then closes

If and when we touch hands

a flower will bloom from our fingers

a color that’s light

with innocence in its sight

and leaves from it an aura that lingers

when I go home and lay in silence

I remember our time

when I gave you my heart

but the secret part

is that your heart is also mine

I love the love that’s bloomed

the madness of us two

I’ll care for our flowers

with all of my hours

because I’ve fallen in love with you

Authors note: Way back in I think January, I had a UIL competition and I was talking with My Muse when he requested a poem about love blooming. At the time I doubted I would actually do it since I don’t normally write positive poems. But last weekend I suddenly had inspiration to write this poem. I plan to give it to him tomorrow or Monday. One slight problem is, I don’t want him being weirded out when I give it to him and it’s directed like I’m talking about him. Other than that I’m honestly proud of this poem and I hope you like it 🫶🏼🪼💙.
