Yeah, pretty much. The only person in the family that Maellard genuinely loved was Candy. Candy herself is nice and sweet, but sort of oblivious and a pushover. Maellard being nice to her made her think that he shared the same sympathy with the kids. Pops isn't a very desirable golden child; he has his fair share of problems, but his guillibility doesn't make things too hard for Maellard. Anti-Pops is a scapegoat in Maellard's eyes, seeing him as the very thing threatening his family's name (and also he didn't even want more than 1 kid, but then twins happened aaa) also added the first draft kid anti-pops design and my slight redesign for his current form. Space changed the way he looked, to say the least

i mayhaps got a little inspired to do some future designs work early.. (I mean I'm gonna have to have these done before even starting the comic anyway so might as well get some work done now) So yeah beta designs of future park crew designs (except rigby I fully like his), and WOKKEEEEE beta redesigns/reimagines for the kids. mordecai's and muscle man's are factoring in stef/starla's redesigns so yea. I'm not gonna have hfg and celia have kids...they shall NOT. (muscle man would still have the hat I just didn't feel like drawing it. he also has a bald spot on the top of his head)

So,how Pop's and Anti's relationship gonna be??

Soo the reason I've been pretty vague about Anti-Pops is that admittedly I'm still in the very early stages of figuring out his lore. But I suppose I should just actually get at least the groundwork established. But I may change some details depending on if I notice any problems.

Anti-Pops is Maellard’s biological son, and Pop’s twin brother. (Obviously his name wouldn't be Anti-Pops at this point I gotta give him a different one). Anti-Pops was a very rowdy and disobedient kid, although he meant well. He and Pops had a sort of typical sibling dynamic, they would fight a lot due to their differences, but would come around to support each other at the end of the day. Although Anti-Pops was jealous of Pops for getting more attention as a “golden child.” He felt left out and alone, and this only got worse with how Maellard treated him (this is where shit hits the fan)

So Maellard cares A LOT about appearances (think like his need to make Pops feel better in Dizzy, not bc he was worried about him, but because he needed to give a speech). While Pops is very..weird..he's still nice and obedient at the end of the day, making him preferable. Anti-Pops is..the opposite. Maellard, not knowing how to properly deal with Anti-Pops..DECIDED TO ABANDON HIM IN SPACE, promising him that he'd be back (he never came back). Maellard lied to both his wife and Pops, making them both think that Anti-Pops disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

Pops grieved his brother’s absence praying that one day he'd return and that they’d all be a family again. But as years went by, his mom died, Maellard grew more hateful, and his brother never came back. In the present, Pops not only commemorates his late mom, but also his brother too, knowing that he's likely dead, but still having hope that maybe, one day, they'd be reunited.

Anti-Pops, having to survive in the harsh space environment for a whole century, grew vengeful and hateful. He vowed one day to get revenge on his family, particularly Pops, as he sees him as the life he could've had. Hence developing the “Anti-Pops” persona. Then yada he sets his plan in motion and almost destroys the world..yada. Though in the end, Pops gets through to Anti-Pops, knowing that they can continue where they left off, that there was no need to be so hateful. Maellard puts up a facade, pretending that he didn't mean to leave Anti-Pops behind, and was too ashamed and guilty to tell the truth to Pops and his wife. While the brothers are both shocked for different reasons, they sweep it under the rug because they're just so relieved to be together again, they can finally be a family again..(and then yada Maellard villain bs but that's not what this is about)

After being reunited, the brothers struggle to understand each other, as they grew up so differently. While Pops still loves his brother, being apart from him most of his life kinda drew some distance to say the least. It's like he doesn't even know him. It doesn't help that Anti-Pops still keeps insisting that he’s the bad version of Pops, when that's simply not true. It's a rocky start, but by spending more time together, and with the help of the other guys, they start to connect again. And Anti-Pops himself finally gets the life he'd always dreamt of, just in a different way. He serves a more comic-relief anti-hero role, pretending to be badddd but he's just as silly as Pops at the end of the day. He and Pops have a similar dynamic to when they were kids, but without the jealousy on Anti-Pops’ part. They fight, they don't always understand each other, but that's what it's all about.

I'm probably gonna redrawing some old AU of mine (it's heavily coated with cheap fanfiction mucks,sorry i was going crazy back in junior high thinking about mordeson

it's gonna be called "oddrent" it's kind of meaningless and i came up with that for like 3 seconds,just odd and different since it's different from the original end but it's a extend as well,basically it's a universe where regular show is woke(/silly,this AU mordeson and margjay are real,I'm living in my dream)

She's cousin of that party horse(yes i don't know how that work but it just does)he told her about the adventure he had and how the people works at the park brought he and his wife together,she was interested and decided to go for the job since she got nothing else better to do

Abandonment issue/mommy issues/too active it comes across annoying/no sense of boundaries/emotionally fragile/push over

good qualities:

make friends easily/positive

The only one that truly enjoys every minute of working at the park,it was his dream when he's lil,he's happy to be there.

that tree guy from space tree,after the mission is over the space tree is shut down cuz there's no funding that's supporting them now(yeah maellerd cancelled it since it's all over)so there's no where for him to go,and based on his personality and altogether behaviors no one would take him,not jobs not shelter,then he end up at the park cuz he thought of rigby and his job as a park ranger,he went to the park and picking on everything he sees around the park,Benson gets annoyed but he can't really get rid of him since no one would take him and maellerd +all the others sorta just dump the tree on him as his responsibility,Benson just made him work there as long as he doesn't drive people away,he agrees

after a few weeks of adopting regular people's behavior he changed his name to "treemen"(cuz i kept forgetting his original name)

and in this AU pam moved on after breaking up with Benson,she eventually got her own lab and made everyone that bosses her around works under her,she even won a golden flask award!(being the greatest Scientist)and was reported on the local news by Margaret,cj and margs are married,they met when margs is doing a news report about the park as a contribute to their old memories,she interviewed cj(she's the guide of the city)and after they grabbed a coffee and blah blah. blah f$#k I'll draw it when it's not 3am anymore.

Benson and mords hooked up when they're on the mission(getting clues and stuff)since rigby has Eileen now and everybody is doing their own things mordecai got a lot of free time on his hand,so like a bum he is he'd go around for people he can talk to,blah blah blah they've been secretly dating the whole time that's why they always come out of the same place!I'm not crazy you guys!!(jk)anyway when they're done with their mission they landed and mordecai proposed right after rigby kissed Eileen(which he is still mad over)(and ben & mordos talked about it so it doesn't feels intrusive at all)

reimagined the 25 years later thing for what i thought would be most suitable. i’m not too bothered about what happened and the writers/animators nailed most of it, but i just decided to tweak it a bit. like i said i’m not overly concerned cause it is just a 5 minute thing lol

honestly theirs was probably the most perfect. i like their kids and think rigby would wanna be a dad and try prove his old man wrong about parenting. plus the children expressing the tall gene after it skipped a generation is funny to me lol

mordecai and stef

i think they’d be too busy to have kids if they’re going on art tours and stuff. plus i don’t think mordecai would want any, but he’d be cool with babysitting rigby’s. i also changed it so he actually looked like he wanted to be there 💀💀

theirs was almost perfect. i love the cat family, and i’m SO glad they didn’t give benson any kids. he just doesn’t seem like the type to have any (plus i’m not even sure if he can atp). my only issue was the fact he had hair which i know was probably done to show his age, but ehh… it doesn’t make sense with his “hair lore”, so i got rid of it. i also made pam mess up the photo too to kinda show their similarities iykwim

muscle man and starla

i also loved theirs too. i just got rid of the extra baby cause i think starla is a bit too old to be having children atp. i also put them all together rather than randomly spread about. also for the son, i like to think he takes all of muscle man’s old clothes so he’s got his shirt on lmao.

fives and celia

i got rid of that abomination of a child because wtf

anyway i like the idea of celia eventually growing out of the thing of dying her hair and keeping it natural but short. also gave fives some stubble to show his age cause bro looked the exact same (i know he’s a ghost but c’mon)

but yeah! that’s it. i also got rid of the random child which people made jokes about being eileen and muscle man’s, cause i truly don’t know what he was about. like i said i’m not too bothered because it is a 5 minute thing but this would have been the “best case scenario” in my eyes.
