in every lifetime, I would still choose this life with you
PAIRINGS: geto x gojo x reader (satosugu x reader)
WARNINGS: pregnancy (sorry if this icks you out...but for Geto and Gojo...i'll do this every time) + anxious thoughts + reader's water breaks at the end, hurt/comfort (idk why I can't write pure angst)
Reader is heavily implied as afab + is pregnant but other than that, there are no other defining features described
(this just made me wish satoru and suguru were real ... because they would be amazing husbands (sobs))
SUMMARY:
Heart pounding, oncoming headache, belly aching, anxiety raising; that's how Satoru and Suguru left you when you were at home and they were on missions.
Maybe a heart-to-heart conversation would help them realise you just needed your husbands to be safe out in the world - knowing when they were coming home, it wasn't just to you...but a very special little someone as well!
START:
The warmth of the early morning sun is what awoke you this morning, which is strange because usually, it’s your large man-child of a husband who wakes you up by peppering a bunch of silly kisses across your face and hair, making you giggle and push him away. If that didn’t wake you up, Satoru would then bring in the big guns – Suguru, who would kiss you whilst tickling you to silence your raucous laughter.
What a wonderful way to start each morning.
Except this morning, although the sun was warm on your face, your hands could only feel the cold sheets beneath them as you mindlessly searched for your husbands with your eyes closed.
Irritated that you couldn’t find them in bed, you opened your eyes to find yourself in your empty bedroom. Silence. The silence was…quite well-welcomed considering Satoru always managed to fill the quiet. And the silence was even more appreciated considering in a few months, you and your husbands would soon wake up to the shrill cry of your newborn.
But after getting out of bed and finishing washing up in your bathroom, you found the silence starting to become unsettling. Where was the sound of Satoru laughing at that terrible reality TV show he insists you all watch during movie night or the sound of Suguru in the kitchen making breakfast?
Feeling slightly unnerved, you walked out of your bedroom and found the living room also empty. You decide to head into the nursery, a room that, recently, has been a source of comfort when the thoughts of impending motherhood rendered you full of anxiety and worry for your future.
Being a jujutsu sorcerer in a world like the one you and your husbands lived in was, for lack of a better word, incredibly distressing. Luckily, now that you were nearing the end of your pregnancy, you weren’t asked to go on missions (and therefore didn’t have to deal with those awful old higher-ups) but the same couldn’t be said for Satoru and Suguru. They were still asked to go on missions that you always considered dangerous due to the special grade curses you knew they would encounter. The same missions that would have your heart pounding from the moment they left home to when they entered through the front door again, and your stomach clenching with anxiety (although, as of late, you couldn’t distinguish if that was anxiety or your baby).
Shaking your head as if to clear your thoughts, you walk into the nursery and find Satoru and Suguru…building the crib…that they were supposed to build three weeks ago. Biting back a smile you walked, or waddled rather, further into the room and cleared your throat, making your presence known.
Satoru and Suguru’s hands paused in their work and they both slowly turned their head up to look at you with nervous smiles on their beautiful faces. They knew they were busted…they should’ve just listened when you asked them to build the crib the day they bought it.
Letting go of the leg piece he was holding, Suguru stood up, wiped his hands and leaned down to give you a gentle hug.
Rubbing his hand up and down your sore back, he whispered, “Good morning my love.” The adoring smile on his face when he looked at you could melt all the ice in the world.
Trying to seem assertive in front of your husbands, you huffed in reply and turned your head to the side, choosing to look at the beautiful mural Shoko and Utahime painted (more Utahime than Shoko) on your baby’s nursery wall. Maybe ignoring Suguru’s greeting, as sweet as he was, would send your (dim) husbands that you finally caught them in their punishment of not listening to you.
Instead, your act had the complete opposite effect on Suguru and Satoru, who looked at each other with a knowing smile and then turned to you with an endearing look in their eyes and wrapped you in the warmest, tightest (being mindful of your bump) hug that had you wanting to go back to sleep again.
“Did you sleep well, sweetcheeks? Hope we didn’t wake you up with our noise…and if we did then it was all Suguru’s fault!” Satoru said cheerfully.
Turning to face him, you pinched his cheeks and savoured his whining before replying, “The only reason I slept well was my two body pillows that did not move at all during the night…thank you. But I did not ,” you emphasise, “appreciate waking up all alone. The bed got cold,” you whined at the end, hoping your pouty lips would make your husbands feel bad about leaving you all alone in bed.
“Oh my love we’re so sorry! We just wanted to let you sleep in and get to work on the crib…though…we had hoped it would be finished before you woke up,” Suguru said with a dejected tone.
Almost immediately, you softened and grabbed their hands before stating, “It’s okay my loves. At least you’re working on it now, no? As long as it’s done before the baby comes, do not stress. Now, I am incredibly hungry…are you going to just stand here or go to the kitchen and make breakfast for the mother of your child,” you asked cheekily, brow raised in question.
Your boys leant down to peck your cheeks before scrambling to the kitchen to get started on breakfast. Laughing softly to yourself, you followed them and leaned against the doorway, watching as your husbands clumsily moved around each other in your small kitchen.
After watching them for some time, you voiced out if they needed any help and Satoru and Suguru shook their heads in disagreement so hard and fast you worried they would get whiplash.
“No my dear, you just sit and rest your feet. Let us serve you food, okay love? Don’t you worry about a single thing,” Suguru walked towards you, arms opened, and moved you to sit on the comfy chair in the dining room. “We’ll be done soon and you focus on eating well love,” he said before placing a kiss on your forehead and bending down to kiss the soft swell of your belly.
With a large smile on his gorgeous face, he left for the kitchen and all you could hear was the clinging of pans and the smell of delicious breakfast being made for you.
Soon enough, out walked Satoru carrying your food and Suguru carrying a portion for him and Satoru to eat. Placing the food on the table in front of you, Satoru leaned over to kiss you, and you found yourself wanting to deepen the feeling of your lips against his plush soft ones.
Hearing a soft clearing of the throat stopped the two of you, however, and you leaned back with a chuckle. Looking at Suguru, you took his hand in your right, Satoru’s in your left, and said cheerfully, “Let’s eat!”
Luckily neither of your husbands had any missions so you all stayed at home and rested whilst they fixed the crib and checked off their to-do lists for the nursery.
Later that evening when you all were getting ready for bed, you in the bathroom and Satoru and Suguru already getting comfortable in bed, you could hear their conversation about their upcoming mission; special grade curses were released near an elementary school in Roppongi. Hearing what Satoru and Suguru were saying, you went rigid and panic took over you; this mission sounded incredibly dangerous…and of course it was sent by the higher-ups.
You could hear the worry in Suguru’s voice when he told Satoru he wished they didn’t have to go because “I hate leaving our girl all alone… and pregnant. I mean, the useless old geezers at the top know that we have a kid on the way and they send us on these missions that send our darling spiralling waiting for us…” he broke off, biting his lip in distress.
Before Satoru could calm him down, you walked out of the bathroom, eyes focused on the ground. Your husbands shot their heads to look at you and you didn’t have to express your concerns because your boys knew too well, judging from your hunched shoulders and hand caressing your belly, about the extreme anxiety coursing your veins.
They knew all too well about your nightmares and restless sleep that was a result of overthinking about all the darkness you all faced in this world, sorcerer or not…and raising kids in this dangerous world seemed too frightening.
They understood perfectly because they too had these same nightmares; missions were no longer an easy ‘get it done and go home’ job but rather involved a stomach-turning, panic-inducing state where the boys couldn’t stop imagining their soon-to-be baby as the victim of the curses. They couldn’t stop waking up startled, sweat dripping down their backs, at the thought of you defeating a curse yet never making it home to them and your baby. They worried more than they let on – because you were already stressed and who were they to add to your plate? They had to be strong…they are the strongest sorcerers in the world for a reason, right?
Seeing you so upset made their hearts ache, and they couldn’t have you so distressed before bed. Suguru reached a hand out, and when he found yours slipping into his hold, he helped you onto the bed and into his arms. Satoru gently pressed against your front, placing soft kisses across your belly.
“I’m worried about your mission. I’m worried you…you won’t come back to me…” you whispered, lips trembling, eyes glistening with tears.
You heard a sharp intake before Suguru leaned down to whisper softly but loud enough for you all to hear, “Oh my love,” he grips you tighter, “Please don’t worry. This mission will be like every other mission okay?
“Yeah, Suguru’s right doll! The mission can’t fail because we’re the strongest, remember?” Satoru asked, aiming the last part at Suguru with wide eyes, hoping Suguru would help him console you.
Suguru nodded his head and agreed, “Exactly darling! We’re sorry we can’t do anything to stop you from panicking when we leave for missions, but you have to remember how much we love you, sweetheart. When we leave for those horrendous missions, the only thing keeping us going is knowing you’re waiting at home for us, and soon enough, we’ll be coming home to our lovely wife and our wonderful baby.” He paused to stroke your hair and press kisses into your hairline, before continuing, “It cannot get any better than that my darling.”
Your chest felt a little bit lighter, your breathing more mellowed out.
“Once again, Suguru’s right sweetcheeks!” Satoru exclaimed. His hand raised to delicately stroke your cheek before basically engulfing your face with his much larger hand. His eyes softened and his voice lowered to an almost whisper, “I know it’s scary carrying a child and then raising them in this world that is dangerous for anyone who isn’t like us. But you’ve got us doll…you won’t have to ever worry about raising this baby,” he caressed your belly with a smile, “alone. You won’t ever have to worry about being the sole protector of our family, because my sweetcheeks, that’s what Suguru and I are here for. You have to remember my love, despite how scary this world is, the love you put out with all your heart will find its way back to you. In this case, it's our beautiful child you’re so strongly carrying.”
Your heart melted. Your husbands always managed to calm you down with their gentle touches and soft words, even Satoru, who strived to shower you and Suguru with physical affection of kisses and hugs and cuddles.
“I thought I’d never say it love, but…Satoru’s right,” Suguru joked before Satoru interjected with a loud, “Hey!” Tender laughs erupted from the three of you and filled the room with happiness, clearing the murky misery in the room.
You sniffled, and before you could reach over Satoru to your nightstand to grab a tissue, Satoru and Suguru blotted your tears off your face with their sleeve, their touch so soft you felt like wanting to cry all over again – though this time with a much clearer and lighter heart than before.
You started scooting off the bed, ignoring Satoru and Suguru’s questioning gaze and moved to grab your hospital go-bag off the floor. Turning to face your husbands with a huge smile, you exclaimed with delight, “Thank you for that my loves, I truly needed to hear that. Now…get your asses off the bed and help me to the hospital – this baby is coming!”
Suguru and Satoru shot off the bed and started fluttering around you nervously, yet excitedly. Before they could start their fluster of “What?” and “Oh lord dear why didn’t you say something sooner”, you said, “I didn’t want to interrupt you before, but my water broke in the bathroom before and my contractions are starting…we need to go to the hospital now!”
Looking your husbands in their eyes, hoping to see any sign of apprehension, all you could see was adoration and eager anticipation to get you to the hospital and have this baby. Slowly, they held you and the bag as you all walked towards the car.
Walking down the stairs, you turned to look at both your husbands, and smiled at them, getting back smiles that were larger than life and tears glistening in their eyes. Oh, how excited they were to see this baby; hold this baby; love this baby. Oh, how excited they were to love you even more than they already did (if that was even possible).

in this moment of time, i hope we last forever
PAIRINGS: poly ateez x reader, (mainly) wooyoung x reader (poly OT8 x reader)
WARNINGS: reader has anxiety, reader is written as afab but please interpret however you'd like, classic case of new years-related anxiety (aka I don't like growing older), small hurt/major comfort
FYI: I rlly like reader-inserts and while I try not to emphasise on the physical descriptions of the reader, if there is something that can be improved on or changed, please kindly let me know!
SUMMARY:
it's christmas eve and where you would usually find yourself squirrelling with excitement at the prospect of spending such a lovely holiday with your family, this year, you found yourself strangely unenthusiastic and disinterested in the spirit of christmas joy.
luckily, your eight boyfriends (who thankfully had no christmas schedules on christmas eve) knew you like the back of their hand and were quick to ensure the night was still full of love and warmth in this cold december winter.
START:
warmth. that’s all you could feel covering your bones. cutting through the cold, misty air of the december winter was a gentle blanket of warmth that you found yourself frequently seeking from your boys. though some more than others. it couldn’t be helped; hongjoong and yeosang were freezers during the cold, you included, which meant all three of you snuggled in close to the others who ran warm like furnaces. honestly, there was no need for a fireplace (not that the boys could have one in their dorm – you were sure it went against apartment building code) when six out of your eight boyfriends basically embodied the word heat.
it was christmas eve and you and your boys had a tradition of opening presents at midnight and spending the rest of the day together; as a family. typically, once the boys had wrapped their christmas schedules for atiny, you would make reservations on christmas eve for a luxurious dinner at the same restaurant you all went to for your first date, followed by a lovely, relaxing walk along the han river, hand-in-hand with san or mingi who used to fight to claim your hand until they realised you had two of them.
however, for reasons you couldn’t yet find, when the morning of christmas eve shone through your windows, your heart failed to raise in the spirit and joy of christmas. there was a lack of excitement at the thought of spending christmas dinner at the restaurant with your boys – and the very thought of your dullness made your heart ache.
why did you feel this way? you decided to chalk your lackluster for the christmas holiday to your apprehension of the impending new year – the unknowing of it all; your future in all aspects, including with the boys – and tried to make an effort to divert your unsettled mind to your work.
despite this turbulence warring in your mind, you felt so incredibly lucky to have partners who noticed your downcast expression and were quick to act; with yeosang informing the others who were yet to either get home or were busy in their own corners of the house, yunho cancelling your dinner reservation because he knew that going out would simply add burden to your plate, and wooyoung and san who brought you into a much-needed hug.
knowing your boys knew you well enough to handle you and your self-proclaimed mess made your eyes well up with (happy) tears. sniffling, you turned your head to rest in the warmth of wooyoung’s neck and gripped san’s big arms with all the strength you could muster.
“we should get something to eat, shouldn’t we love?,” wooyoung spoke softly, and when he saw your head nod ever-so-subtly in the crook of his neck, “hmm do you know what you want, or would you like sannie to order something for everyone?” he dragged his hand up and down your back.
“hmm…I don’t want to choose please…sannie you know what I like, could we get it from the nice Japanese place downstairs?,” you muttered quietly to san, who nodded at you with so much love and adoration in his eyes, you could feel all your anxiety melting away in the moment.
“yeah of course darling,” san said, his fingers delicately tracing the outline of your face. “I’ll ask the others to text me their orders and I’ll be right back okay love?” he gave you a heart-warming smile.
nodding your head, you whispered a “be safe, love you sannie” before wooyoung moved the two of you to the bathroom to wash up as he knew you would feel better (even if just a little bit better) after a warm shower and changing into matching pyjamas’ seonghwa had bought all nine of you.
after a warm shower and feeling your mind clear away the cloudiness, wooyoung held your hand (which he had never let go ever since you stepped foot in the doorway after work) and pulled you ontop of him on the couch. covering the both of you in a warm blanket yunho gifted you for your birthday from Japan, he pressed soft kisses into your hairline, gently pressing your back towards him, almost as if he was trying to fuse your bodies together.
in return, you idly traced shapes into his warm chest and watched as his other hand reached over to grab the tv remote to turn a cheesy christmas movie that neither of you were paying full attention to, on.
with the gentle lull of wooyoung’s chest moving up and down in sync with his breathing, and the warmth of the blanket covering the two of you, you felt your eyes start to close and your mind shutting off – as it usually does when you’re with your boyfriends.
seeing you drifting off into sleep, wooyoung smiled, his heart feeling so big, and turned the volume of the tv down as to not disturb you. he slowly lifted his hands to send a picture of you into your groupchat with your boys and vaguely threaten them to come home quietly or not at all – to which they all complied for fear of the wrath of the jung wooyoung when someone disturbs his loved ones.
you didn’t know how long you had been asleep for, just that when you woke up, you could feel the presence of all your boyfriends at home; some in the living room sitting next to the fusion of your and wooyoung’s bodies on the couch, and some you could hear in the kitchen, setting up the dining table with takeout san had so graciously bought for you all.
you didn’t need to open your eyes and look at the figure kissing your head because you could recognise the plump lips of your lovely mingi and the feeling of his large calloused hands pulling you up from the couch and into the kitchen room to eat.
walking into the kitchen room, you noticed someone (seonghwa most likely) had lit all the christmas candle holders in the room, dimmed the lights for a romantic feel and set up christmas crackers on the table for everyone. you could see everyone smiling and giggling whilst setting the table and getting ready for dinner.
it made your heart feel so full seeing your family flit around each other so perfectly, and when jongho turned to you with a hand outstretched for yours to bring you to your seat, you realised that you also fit perfectly in this small family of yours. almost like it was made for you.
after a tasteful dinner that you all pressed sweet kisses into san’s cheeks (or onto his lips) for getting (to which he blushed a bright pink), you all cleaned up and decided to head to the living room for a marathon (like two movies max.) of cheesy hallmark christmas movies.
and when you snuggled close between wooyoung on your right and hongjoong on your left, and the rest of your boyfriends seated comfortably around one another, covered in warm blankets and with cups of hot chocolate (or jongho’s coffee at night for some reason), your realised the coldness of the december winter didn’t bit you as harshly as it once had before you met your boys. the gentle, homely love of the moment was something you found yourself wishing on your christmas wishlist, lasted forever. because this – this you could get used to.

PAIRINGS: alpha hongjoong x omega seonghwa x omega reader (poly relationship)
WARNINGS: false pregnancy, reader is incredibly upset by this, angsty thoughts from reader, theres a lot of crying but is followed by fluff, hurt/comfort
no physical descriptions of the reader are included except reader is described as afab and having female anatomy. seonghwa is also a male omega and does have the anatomy to get pregnant (yes there is mpreg...sue me).
FYI: guys...this is my first time writing a/b/o dynamics. all i know of omegaverse stems purely from fanfics so please comment (nicely pls) if there's something i can change/improve on!
SUMMARY:
soulmates. your everything. nothing in this world could ever make you turn on your husbands – or them on you; your affinity to each other was just as strong as your omega wolf’s connection to her mates that she found in seonghwa’s omega and hongjoong’s alpha. your heart was ever-so-loved by your mates and you returned your love with the utmost adoration and affection. they never made you feel like a burden.
which made your current feelings of doubt about your relationship, strike at your heart.
all this pain over a simple test.
START:
you loved your husbands – truly, you did. they were the wind beneath your wings, your soulmates, your everything. nothing in this world could ever make you turn on your husbands – or them on you; your affinity to each other was just as strong as your omega wolf’s connection to her mates she found in seonghwa’s omega and hongjoong’s alpha. your heart was ever-so-loved by your mates and you returned your love with the utmost adoration and affection.
so then why does your heart ache? why can you feel the back of your eyes burn with unshed tears, waiting to delicately fall down your face? why can you feel your chest squeeze, waiting to let out sobs that you’ve so patiently kept in?
well, for the sake of your mates out in the bedroom, you keep quiet; all on your lonesome in your bathroom. you don’t want them to know how upset you are holding a negative pregnancy test, whilst your beloved seonghwa holds his positive one with immense pride and joy. where was your pride and joy? why couldn’t you be happy? a wave of guilt rolled upon you – who were you to feel this way about your own mate? why couldn’t you just accept seonghwa’s happiness? after all, he and hongjoong were together before you intervened joined their relationship and they had been waiting for so long for the second line on the pregnancy test to appear. they had waited much longer than you had – so why were you sitting on your toilet seat by yourself, sobs tearing at your heart, clouding your mind?
not wanting your slightly soured scent to reach your mates outside, you hurriedly reached into the cabinet below the sink and applied a scent blocker, praying it was strong enough to mask your despair. deciding to throw your pregnancy test in the bathroom bin and covering it with toilet paper, you opened the door and walked out of the bathroom to see seonghwa resting peacefully on your bed, hongjoong gazing at him with adoration. throwing a blanket over his sleeping body, hongjoong looked up at the sound of you walking into the room, and smiled before walking over to you.
“oh my love, isn’t this the most happiest moment ever? seonghwa was so excited, he cried and became sleepy so I told him to get some rest,” hongjoong said, soft hands gliding over your arms, resting upon your shoulders and pulling you into a tight hug. you could feel him nosing your neck, and pulling back in surprise at the feeling of your scent blocker.
a questioning look adoring his handsome face, hongjoong asked, “why…why are you wearing scent blockers love? is everything okay? you were holed up in the bathroom before…seonghwa wanted to see your face when the test turned positive but we figured you were busy in the bathroom…” he trailed off, head tilted in uncertainty. uncertain about your odd behaviour. about your feelings. about why you decided to stay in the bathroom when your mates were outside in the bedroom figuring out if they were going to have a little addition to their little family.
giving him a small, but tight smile, you shook your head, “I’m fine! I just had a bad day at work and even my shower couldn’t hide how upsetting today was,” you ruefully smiled at him. “I didn’t want to worry hwa – you know how strangely perceptive he is with even a slight scent change,” before you could start rambling, you cut yourself off and looked at hongjoong before squeezing his hands and telling him you would go to the kitchen to get started on dinner.
you quickly left your bedroom before hongjoong could cast any doubt on your behaviour or hidden scent. hongjoong was incredibly perceptive about your and seonghwa’s emotions, quick to detect if either of you felt sad, angry, upset and was quick to soothe you. you prayed this time, your loving mate – who meant well – was oblivious to your despair. you ignored the set of eyes on your back; eyes that wondered what you were doing in the bathroom when your two mates received news of a lifetime out in the bedroom.
as you worked around the kitchen, you worked wonders to make sure your oncoming tears didn’t fall. you cut up the vegetables and meat for the soup you were sure would make seonghwa feel better once he woke up. once that was done, you moved to go do the laundry and then clean up your living room; giving your mind no time whatsoever to think about the negative pregnancy test hidden in the bathroom, and seonghwa’s positive one sitting on your bedside table.
though the distractions worked, you noticed that in the entire time you were busying yourself, not once did hongjoong leave seonghwa’s side the bedroom. not once did he peek his head out and come over to ask if you needed help. doubt started to cloud your mind and uneasy questions started to form. was hongjoong unhappy with you? could he - could he tell you weren’t pregnant? you had been trying for so long…was he able to tell even though you hid your sour scent?
with thoughts spiralling, you stood up from the couch so fast, your head spun. shaking your head softly, you decided you would talk to hongjoong. be brave. talk to your mate…your husband. courageously, you made your way to the bedroom but stopped shortly because in front of you…was hongjoong holding your pregnancy test. your negative pregnancy test. and your scent blocker packet in the other hand.
and when he looked up to look at you, you could feel your heart crack at the sight of tear tracks marring his beautiful face. he sluggishly moved his feet towards you, almost as if a heavy chain was holding him back, tethering him to the ground.
he kept his voice quiet when he asked softly, “is this why you put a scent blocker on? this?” he sniffled, gesturing to your pregnancy test.
“you found this out all alone, hidden in the bathroom instead of with us?” hongjoong whispered. “is this why you hid from seonghwa? from…from me?” he let out soft sobs that tore at your heart.
you felt the tears you carefully tried to hide fall down in heavy streams, blurring your vision. shoulders shaking, you felt like your legs give out but before you could hit the cold ground, you felt hongjoong catch you, holding you so delicately, as if you would shatter into irreparable pieces if he held on tighter.
whispered apologies left your lips. the only thing circling your befuddled mind was the hope that hongjoong and seonghwa would forgive you. forgive you - forgive your omega for not getting pregnant. forgive you for hiding your sadness and not relishing in their happiness.
almost as if he could read your mind – and maybe your mate was truly telepathic – hongjoong caressed your hair, moving your head into the crook of his neck and comforted you with soft “don’t apologise love”. as he moved the two of you to sit on the couch, his woody, earthy scent filled the living room, making you relax further into his arms.
with hongjoong’s arms wrapped around you and his comforting scent flowering the air, all your sadness melted away like ice out in summer. he rocked you back and forth, like a parent does to their child, gliding his strong, yet gently hands up and down your back and tells you softly to match his breathing; your mate’s alpha knowing full well you and your omega were on the verge of a blown panic attack.
after what seemed like forever, you felt your breathing slow down, heart softening in its pounding, your mind clearing the fog away. however you felt…ashamed… to look hongjoong in the eye and speak to him, so you carefully retracted his hands from you and moved to sit next to him on the couch.
avoiding his eyes, you spoke so softly that hongjoong could’ve missed it, had his full attention not been on you, “I’m sorry for worrying you hongjoong-ah. I’m sorry I lied. I-I didn’t want you to be disappointed in m-me,” you could hear and feel your breath catching on your sobs, “I don’t know why I can’t get pregnant…I mean we’ve been trying for so long. I’m sorry I can’t give you a b-baby…please forgive me hongjoong-ah…please,” your voice broke off, leaving silence in its wake.
you took a deep breath, trying to find the courage in you to speak again, but before you could, hongjoong softly clutched your face in his hands and pressed a soft kiss against your lips. when he leaned back and searched for an ounce of hesitation in your eyes, and found none, he leaned back in and kissed you so hard, you could feel the breath leave your lungs.
when you both reluctantly pulled away, hongjoong kissed your tears away before pulling you into a tight hug.
“please y/n. please my love, don’t apologise for this. I’m so sorry I didn’t see how sad you were before. I’m so sorry y/n-ah. you don’t have to apologise for a single thing, ok? you not being pregnant…that’s something I will never , could never, get upset at you for, alright my love?” hongjoong took a pained breath, before continuing, “you have to understand what I’m saying darling. I’m sorry you felt the need to hide the test. and I’m sorry it was negative…I know how much you wanted to be pregnant when hwa was so you could both experience it together…and I can’t even imagine the pain your omega is going through right now,” he paused to gauge your reaction.
no longer forcing your tears to remain in your eyes, you allowed yourself the comfort of crying in front of your mate. your hongjoong. you remained silent, knowing hongjoong had more to say.
squeezing your hands, hongjoong continued, “but my love, we can always try again, okay? please don’t blame yourself for this y/n-ah…this is not your fault–”
“I feel…bad…for my reaction to the test. the test itself. not telling you and hwa right then and there. I just didn’t want to ruin your moment together…I mean, I could smell how excited hwa’s omega was when he realised he was pregnant…I didn’t want to come inbetween that,” you sighed, shoulders dropped. it was only after you admitted this that you noticed how pungent the room had become, your sour vanilla scent overpowering hongjoong’s woody one.
you hoped the scent wouldn’t reach seonghwa and wake your lovely mate up. god knows that was another thing you could do wrong.
hongjoong let out a strange sound from the back of his throat before shaking his vehemently, looking you deep in your eyes before exclamining, “come inbetween us? what are you talking about y/n? ever since you graced seonghwa and I’s life with your presence, it has always been the three of us, you understand? not just me and hwa. you and me and hwa. that’s how it’s been and that’s how it will always be, alright y/n? never doubt that.” hongjoong’s beautiful eyes were covered with unshed tears.
you could feel your brain stop sending hostile thoughts of a ruined relationship around.
eyes widened, you took a deep breath before asking, “so…you still want me? you and hwa? you still want me with you guys?”
and before hongjoong could blink and respond, you heard a covered sob from behind the wall. you and hongjoong turned your heads to see seonghwa making his way from behind the wall, and your hearts’ broke at the sight of your pretty omega husband silently listening to your sadness with tears streaming down his face.
“oh hwa, my love, come here,” hongjoong said, hand reaching out to grab seonghwa’s to pull him into your space on the couch.
“I-I’m so sorry for not checking on you my pretty omega…I feel terrible. I was living in my own happiness that I completely neglected you y/n-ah. will you forgive me,” seonghwa whimpered.
your omega whined at the sight of one of her mates trying to speak in the midst of sobbing. his painful wails made you sniffle and grab seonghwa into a tight hug.
“my pretty hwa. my pretty omega. please don’t say sorry. I should’ve told you the moment the test showed a negative. I shouldn’t have hid it from you…you’re my mates. if anything, please forgive me omega, alpha?” you pleaded with a sad pout, looking between seonghwa and hongjoong
“as long as you remember it is the three of us in this relationship – okay, three? – then everything is good my love,” hongjoong said, hands squeezing your and seonghwa’s waists.
“y/n-ah, I’ll still need my omega by my side throughout this pregnancy. I cannot do this alone baby. I still need hongjoong and you, the two of you. I’ll need both my mates. so please, don’t ever think I don’t need you, or don’t want you, or get bored of you, or–”
your giggles at seonghwa’s cute rambling made him cut his speech short. together, he and hongjoong gazed at you with so much warmth and fondness in their eyes, you were surprised you hadn’t melted on the spot.
nodding your head, you gave your mates a gentle smile. “okay. I think…I think I feel a lot better now,” you laughed softly. “this was a really big mess, huh? I probably could’ve avoided it but I’m glad everything’s out in the air now,” you said.
laughing along, hongjoong agreed before pulling you into a deep kiss, leaning back and pulling seonghwa into a kiss with just much as ferocity as he gave you.
“how ‘bout we sleep in our nest tonight my lovely omegas, hmm? I think that would do all of us some good right? a night in our nest that my two beautiful mates built,” hongjoong suggested, kissing along your neck before moving to seonghwa’s to do the same.
you and seonghwa turned to each other with a knowing smile, and understanding the mischievous glint in his eyes, you turned to hongjoong and giggled, “as if we would let an alpha into our nest!”
clutching seonghwa’s hands, you stood up from the couch and moved away from hongjoong’s grasp, giggles from you and seonghwa turning into laughter at the sound of hongjoong’s offence at your words.
“yeah alpha,” seonghwa said, jokingly, “our nest is an alpha-free zone!”
“hey! get back here!” hongjoong stood up to reach you and seonghwa, but the two of you laughed like two mischievous peas in a pod and ran away from hongjoong’s outreached hands into your nesting room and shut the door. snuggling close together under the numerous blankets you had in your nest, you and seonghwa giggled at hongjoong’s amused chuckles when he came into contact with the closed door.
and when he opened the door, his heart felt so full seeing you and seonghwa curling around each other, seonghwa’s hands clutching your body close to him, one of your hands in his hair, the other softly caressing his stomach.
and later that evening when you all fell asleep cuddled in your nest (yes with hongjoong included, snuggling up close behind you), three pairs of arms and legs intertwined with each other, you felt your breathing relax and your heart ease from the pain of the day.
the course of events today made you realise that in the arms of your mates, your alpha and omega, you didn’t need to be brave all on your own. you had them. and they had you. and in that feeling of solace, you slipped off into your dreams.

SUMMARY:
Yunho, Mingi and, You are all dating - and everything is perfect. Yunho and Mingi are part of a band that does exceptionally well and you face your own challenges at work and from family, but nothing else in the world can ruin your mood when you're with your boys.
So why then, does overhearing a conversation right before the boys perform on stage, send your heart shattering and make you question your relationship status?
And more importantly, how do Yunho and Mingi fix what they don't even know they've caused?
START:
The people around you might think you’re relationship was…unusual. Might even go as far as to call the three of you strange for failing to be monogamous and having one lover instead of having both.
But that’s what worked for the three of you and it was no one else’s business to interfere with your relationship. It was no one else’s business to know how comforting the arms of your lovers were when wrapped around your shoulders during movie night at Seonghwa and Hongjoong’s shared apartment or how protective their hold on you was on a night out after an exhilarating performance on stage. How grounding their touch was after a draining day at work and coming home to see Yunho dancing around Mingi who was cooking your favourite dinner in your homely kitchen, soft music playing from the Bluetooth speaker on the kitchen counter, and nearly every candle in your house lit emitting a pleasant lavender smell that had your shoulders dropping from exhaustion and relief you were finally home.
Because that’s what they were to you – home. When your manager at work had a bad day which meant everyone had a bad day; or whenever phone calls to your parents would generally end up with you in tears and silence on the other end; or whenever your friends had a falling out and left you in the dust feeling lost and alone – Yunho and Mingi never failed to uplift your mood and let it known to you that you are their solace.
Being best friends with Yunho and Mingi from middle school meant you had seen them in all their phases – from when Yunho was adamant he would become a professional video gamer to when Mingi would make mixtapes in his tiny bedroom, which only you and Yunho would be privy to. And finally, when they both found themselves pursuing a passionate love for music.
This tight-knit friendship between you and the boys allowed you to see their hearts so clearly, which they wore on their sleeves, and it wasn’t hard to fall in love with them. It wasn’t long before you realised their soft smiles and the endearing look in their eyes when you caught their gaze meant they bared their hearts out to you with just as much ferocity as you did.
Being in a relationship with the two soft giants didn’t feel different from being best friends - with the lovely addition of soft kisses and going to sleep feeling like you were wrapped in two weighted blankets.
They showed you what love is – who love can create.
When Yunho and Mingi decided to create a rock band alongside two childhood friends of yours’, Hongjoong, an amazing guitarist, and Jongho, who had the best set of vocals, you were unwavering in your support and encouragement. From playing in either Hongjoong or Mingi’s garage to playing sets in bars and smaller venues across town, you joined them in their wonderful endeavours and got to enjoy their music with a side of the beautiful sights of whichever town you were in.
After their set, Yunho and Mingi would be visibly exhausted, sweat dripping down their faces, their legs barely dragging them backstage and towards the car, but they never failed to take you out for dinner after and then collapse into bed and sleep the night away. And when you woke the next morning to a cup of coffee and breakfast served for you, you grabbed whoever was closest and kissed them with such fervour, sometimes sight-seeing was traded for spending the day in bed with your lovely boys.
Luckily, the venue the boys were playing at gave them an hour extra to play their songs which meant you had to stock up on food and drinks for the boys and yourself and make sure the hotel room after was ready because you knew you weren’t going to be taken out in the city after a long set on stage.
With a bag of snacks and energy drinks from the convenience store in your hand, you walked backstage towards the dressing rooms where Yunho and Mingi were.
Reaching inside the bag, you picked out Mingi’s favourite drink and stepped towards him to hand him his drink. When you looked up smiling, you noticed a somewhat troubled look on his face, his hand gripping his phone so tightly you could see them turning white.
“Mingi…is everything okay?” You asked, concerned.
“Hm?” Mingi looked up from his phone and noticed you and Yunho looking at him with odd expressions. He shook his head, “Everything’s fine love. I’m just nervous about playing,” he tried comforting you, though his face paled significantly.
You nodded and handed him his drink telling him to drink up before sitting next to him. When you reached over to hold his hand, Mingi seemed to startle and immediately stood up before announcing he needed to go to the bathroom.
You frowned. Mingi was acting strange…almost secretive. You hated casting any form of doubt on your boyfriends, but Mingi’s behaviour was certainly odd and it was rubbing you in the wrong way…
You turned to Yunho, about to ask him what was wrong with Mingi, when he turned to you and gave you a tight-lipped smile with a pensive look on his beautiful face, before rushing out of the room, supposedly following Mingi. Feeling somewhat helpless and incredibly confused, you looked around the room and found neither Hongjoong nor Jongho in sight to converse with, and fell back onto the couch.
After a few minutes, the door opened and you sat up expectantly, hoping Mingi and Yunho would be back in, hopefully, good spirits…but in walked Hongjoong and Jongho.
Seeing your shoulders slump with disappointment, Hongjoong came over to you on the couch and asked if you were okay.
“What’s troubling you? Everything okay?” He asked.
Not wanting to put stress on a man who had to conserve his energy to play a large set, you turned to Hongjoong and gave him the best convincing smile you could muster and said, “I’m great! I’m just waiting for Mingi and Yunho to come back from the bathrooms.”
Standing at the table of snacks and drinks, Jongho, in the middle of choosing a pre-show snack packet, turned to you with a tilt of his eyebrows and confusedly told you, “But Mingi and Yunho aren’t in the bathrooms. They’re outside the venue talking. They seem quite stressed so I don’t think they’ll be in here for a bit.”
“Oh…thanks for telling me Jongho,” you gave a small smile, though from your tightened brows and quivering chin, the boys could tell you were worried. You rushed out of the building, turning your head in all directions to try and find your boyfriends.
Moving towards the back of the venue facing the carpark, you came across Mingi sitting on the curb, back facing you, yet you could tell from his hunched figure and shoulders shaking, that something was wrong. Yunho also came into view, large hands rubbing Mingi’s back and softly speaking to him.
You angled yourself so you could hear them, but they couldn’t see or hear you. You hated eavesdropping, but something was wrong with your boyfriend - maybe both of them - and they weren’t telling you.
You pushed aside the feeling of dread starting to pool in your stomach and forced your ears to pick up on their conversation.
Mingi’s voice was shaky and breathy, almost like he had been crying for a while, “I can’t do this anymore, Yunho. I can’t keep lying to her like this…”, he broke off, tears continuing to drip down his face.
Yunho sighed, “I know it hurts Mingi…But how would we even tell her about–” His voice was drowned out by some people on the other side of the street drunkenly singing.
“It’s so hard to lie and keep up this happy facade with her Yunho. I just wished she stopped being such a burden and left us alone…” Mingi said wistfully. “It might hurt her but we have to tell her what’s going on…”, he sniffled.
That feeling in your stomach iced your veins. Feeling your eyes start to burn with tears and your heart stop yet race at the same time, you refused to listen anymore. Thoughts racing, you turned to head back inside the venue to grab your things and leave.
Maybe in hindsight, you should’ve heard more of their conversation, or confronted them right then and there…but the feeling of pain and hurt in your heart was something you’d never felt before.
Speed-walking back to the dressing rooms, you opened the doors and rushed in, startling Jongho and Hongjoong who were in opposite corners of the room, preparing for the show.
After grabbing your bag and phone, you turned to the boys, who now looked at you with puzzled expressions, and gave them your share of good luck.
“Are you not gonna stay and watch the show,” Hongjoong asked confused. You always stayed to watch your boys rock the stage. Not once had you ever failed at showing your boys your unwavering support.
“No sorry…something came up at work and they need me to do something but I can’t work here…sorry guys,” You replied, hoping they wouldn’t ask any more questions so you could get out of there.
When there was a brief pause after your response, you turned and left the room, not even waiting for Jongho or Hongjoong to say something. When you got to the front doors, you noticed Mingi and Yunho on the other side about to walk in, and you hid behind the pillars in the lobby, praying they wouldn’t see you.
As if your prayers were answered, they walked right past you. Not wanting to stay back and watch them any longer, you rushed out to your car and locked the doors.
You sat there, numb. That feeling of dread and pain and hurt had morphed into something you couldn’t even describe. Cheating… that wasn’t something you had ever considered your boys doing…and the notion of them cheating made your heart pound, filled with doubt and your mind feel like a bag of rocks was weighing it down.
You debated calling them to tell them you were going home because you knew they would immediately leave the show to console you…and you just needed some time to think clearly. So after sending a ‘good luck for your show!’ text to your guys’ group chat, you put the car in drive and made the painful journey back home…alone.
When you got home and noticed the darkness of such a small space, your scattered brain hurt even more and it felt like the room got even smaller than it was. Your chest was constricting with anxiety and you felt like you couldn’t breathe – and in that moment, all you wanted – no needed – was for your boys to come home and hold you.
But they weren’t there.
That ugly feeling of anxiety started to make you wonder if either of the boys had even noticed you were gone. If they had cared. If they were texting her whoever she was, or if she was there in the crowd watching them the way you were supposed to be doing.
A part of you hated these thoughts – hated the way you rushed to label your loving, healthy relationship with the boys as ruined and call them cheaters when you probably didn’t know the whole story. That same part of you felt toxic…and made you think the boys deserved better than whatever you had going on.
With your brain driving thoughts in two directions, you feel physically and mentally exhausted. Crawling into bed, you wished for nothing but the past hour to have been a painful nightmare. And for the first time since you moved in with the boys, you slept all alone.
Being asleep, you didn’t realise when Yunho and Mingi had raced home after their show, their bodies physically exhausted but that paling in comparison to how heavy their hearts hurt. When they noticed you had curled around their pillows in bed and were fast asleep with dried tears tracking down your face, their eyes felt wet and Mingi felt a sob rising at the back of his throat; you had cried yourself to sleep…and something they said or did was to blame.
They patted your head and looked at each other, giving the other a silent nod and agreeing they should give you some space in bed; taking the couch for the night.
When you woke the next morning, your eyes felt like someone had glued them shut and your mouth felt as dry as a desert due to all the crying last night. You contemplated going back to sleep in hopes of shutting out the world around you, but the slight smell of coffee and hearing something sizzling in the kitchen made you rise out of bed.
Your heart felt lighter and heavier at the same time – your boys were back…which meant avoiding them about last night was out of the question. Never in your years of being friends, and eventually dating, had you ever seen them raise their voices in anger…but worried thoughts of an argument started floating around your head.
When you walked out of your room, you noticed Mingi near the coffee machine and Yunho standing in front of the stove flipping what seemed to be (burnt) pancakes. They were both dressed in the same clothes they were why you left your apartment the day before and when you looked at the couch, the blankets and pillows were ruffled. Your heart clenched… had the boys been afraid to sleep in bed next to you? Was this the start of the end? Were you going to lose not only your boyfriends but your best friends?
Hearing the floorboards creak under you, Yunho and Mingi shot their heads up to look at you. The looks in their eyes made you soften and tears spring to your eyes – they gazed at you with such longing and pain in their eyes.
Mingi stepped towards you and you thought he would either kiss you or tell you to get out of his way, but he mumbled, “Yunho and I are gonna wash up. Please eat your breakfast my love…I think we need to talk.” With that, he and Yunho looked at you with determination in their eyes and leaned down to give you a small kiss on either side of your cheeks before heading towards the bathroom.
After managing to move your feet towards the kitchen, you forced yourself to eat and ignore your lack of appetite; you figured it wouldn’t be best to have a conversation on an empty stomach.
When you were done, you sat on the couch and waited for the boys. You felt a sense of deja vu from the night before waiting on the couch for your the boys (you should start learning to not refer to them as yours anymore..huh?). When they came over, they sat close together on the loveseat in front of you.
When you looked up, you noted Mingi’s were tinged red…like what would happen if someone cried themselves to sleep and continued in the morning. Your heart ached even more. Yunho grabbed Mingi’s shaking hands and looked at you with an undecipherable expression.
Okay, you thought, let’s make this breakup an easy conversation .
You decided to speak first, hoping that you could start amicably, “Sorry for not staying to watch the show…How was it?” Your voice was strained, but hopeful.
Yunho gulped. “Baby…we know something is wrong. You left way before we even started playing and didn’t tell us…please…what’s wrong?” His shoulders notably sagged down.
Jaw clenching to not let a sob escape, you looked down at your hands intertwined with each other and tried to catch your thoughts to respond, “I heard you.” That was all you could mutter.
Both Mingi and Yunho seemed to be confused. What did you hear?
When you took note of their confusion and silence, you continued, “Outside in the carpark. You said you don’t love me…that it hurt to lie to me and you wanted to stop lying.” By this point, you felt the saltiness of your tears enter your mouth but kept on going. “You said you weren’t h-happy with me anymore…and you think I’m a… b-burden. So please…be quick with it and just b-break up with me.” You tried to contain your sobs but the painful reminder of yesterday hurt too much for you to keep quiet.
Sniffling, you forced your head up to look between the boys…only to feel puzzled about their expressions. They had matching looks of almost…relief (?) on their faces. What could they be so relieved about when you sat across from them, heart-shattering into the tiniest of pieces?
Heart pounding and head feeling heavy once more, your mind seemed to cloud over in preparation for the next four words that would leave you devastated.
“Oh baby…we weren’t talking about you…” Yunho uttered, his tone sounding so vulnerable.
Oh.
Oh.
What??
Time seemed to stop. It was so silent in your living room that you could hear your blood rushing through your body; hear your breathing slow down and feel your mind quiet instantaneously.
They…weren’t talking about…you…they don’t think anything bad of you…they (might) still love you…
In the quiet void, Mingi’s quiet voice speaks out, “My love, can I please give you a hug?”
When you slowly but surely nod yes, he leaps over to you and hugs you so hard you can feel your inside being squished together. But you ignore that feeling because it feels so good to finally be held by your boyfriend.
“Wait Mingi, we still need to explain what happened…why we said what we said,” Yunho pulled Mingi back slightly, teary-eyed, and gave you an understanding look. “Please hear us out completely first, darling,” he seemed to beg.
After you nodded in acceptance, Yunho turned to Mingi and seemed to urge him to speak.
Mingi sniffled and took a deep breath, before admitting, “I don’t know if you remember back in high school, there was this girl…Yuna…and she would follow us everywhere? Do you remember?,” after receiving a hum of affirmation, he continued, “After school one day, she cornered me in our classroom and told me she liked me. And I just stood there and said nothing because…because I was in love with you and Yunho – I still am of course! – but she kept saying that I had to either choose between the two of you or pick her or she would tell my parents and I-I hadn’t told my parents about us at the time and I was so worried s-she would tell them and I didn’t know what to do so I just gave her my n-number and told her to please please keep quiet and–” Mingi spluttered before sobs racked from his throat and rendered him quiet.
You felt a gush of tears prick your eyes once more and moved to sit next to him, rubbing his back along with Yunho. You said nothing to allow Mingi to get his bearings together but frowned as you thought of Yuna. Yuna – the girl that did follow you guys everywhere in high school and rejected your advances to be friends. You had never thought you had to worry about her because you always attributed her ‘affections’ as idolising her seniors at school and once you all graduated, she left your mind as quickly as you all left your hometown.
After a while, Mingi took another deep breath and continued, “After we graduated and moved to the city, I completely forgot about her you know? And I thought we had become adults now so I didn’t have to worry about her anymore…but one day she started texting me and when I didn’t respond she moved to DMing me and she would send me messages of her…some explicit at first…some almost threatening harm but…to herself. She would ask me for money for dresses she wanted to buy and wear on our first date and kept telling me to break up with you guys because she said she wanted me all to herself…” He broke off, not quite sure how to end his recounting.
Yunho then took over, “Mingi told me one day what was going on when his phone kept blowing up during practice. And after he told me and I sent a text from his phone telling her to leave him alone, she started sending me messages too…telling me to break up with you before she started talking to you.” He stopped to gauge your reaction, before adding, “We tried our best to ignore her and block her but she kept finding ways to message us…we’re sorry for not telling you, darling.”
You felt…conflicted. Here your boys were telling you about a girl that was threatening to ruin everything you had built together for her selfish gain which gave them a reason for their words, as hurtful as you had perceived them, last night…but you didn’t understand why didn’t tell you.
And because you wanted an answer to put an end to your confusion, you simply asked them, “Why didn’t you tell me? I thought- I thought when you said all that stuff yesterday…I thought you wanted to break up with me…” you choked out before dissolving into tears.
Mingi wrapped his arms around you whilst uttering soft ‘no’s’ and shaking his head. Yunho felt the stress of not knowing why his girlfriend was so upset the night before leaving him, and he gathered you and Mingi in his arms before softly rocking you all back and forth.
With both the your boys holding you and whispering sweet nothings in your ears, your wails reduced to soft hiccups.
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry for believing either of you would…c-cheat,” you threw the word out like a bad omen. Almost immediately, Yunho and Mingi started shaking their heads in disagreement, “No my love, you don’t have to be sorry,” and “We’re sorry for not telling you darling.”
“We noticed how stressed you’ve been recently from work and your family dumping all their issues on you and everything you’re friends have been dragging you through…we didn’t feel right making you feel insecure in our relationship by telling you about some girl we spent no seconds thinking about. Because this, of all things in our life,” Yunho said gesturing between him and Mingi, “This relationship with you is our constant. Our solace. Our home.”
“He’s right you know? Last night she kept texting me and I realised I couldn’t keep hiding the burden that was her from you anymore,” Mingi agreed.
You kept quiet and let their words sink in. Those ugly feelings started clearing from your heart and mind – your boys never wanted to leave you. This was all just a misunderstanding…
“Trust me when I say my love, beyond you and Yunho, there is no one else I want to fill my heart,” Mingi whispered before looking deep into your eyes for any hesitation, and when finding nothing but love and adoration, pressed his lips onto yours.
Yunho watched the two loves of his life with the utmost love and fondness and then decided he, too, wanted a kiss from you. When you and Mingi pulled away for a breath of air, Yunho swept in and held the back of your head whilst he kissed you like you were all the oxygen in the world he was trying to breathe in.
When he pulled away from you, you giggled – and the sight of your tussled hair, soft lips glistening and sparkling eyes sent waves of warmth and love through Mingi and Yunho.
“What do you say we skip whatever we each had planned today and just stay home? I think we could all do with some loving today huh?” You offered, hoping your boys would say yes.
Before you could even finish your sentence, your boys nodded their heads so fast you worried they would fall off.
And so, that whole day went like this: you, Mingi, and Yunho spent all day intertwined on the couch watching rom-coms, with Mingi squished between the two of you. You reached over to kiss the small mole under Mingi’s eye and Yunho kissed the spot on his cheek whilst Mingi erupted in giggles that had your and Yunho’s hearts soaring. Hands enclosed in one anothers’, the three of you fell asleep, each vowing to never stray far from one another – not now and certainly not in any other lifetime.
