Ok but is there any modern fandom that for the most part actually understands the moral nuances of their characters and also doesn’t wildly mischaracterize anyone. Like everyone understands the basic trope of character flaws that serve the narrative.
#fandom#tempestmothtalk#listen I’m not deep into everyone fandom ever but it’s like a consistent issue with every fandom I come across#but there has to be something#like giving characters character traits and flaws are like a basic part of storytelling there’s no way every fandom has a problem with#people missing the basic idea of character flaws and turns it into a morality thing over seeing it from a story perspective#I was gonna say small fandoms don’t count but I’ve been there and they are not free of this issue
