Perhaps it was the fact that it was easier to speak as Sheik that the Princess chose to utilize her abilities; to be him instead. Not to mention this was the easiest way to sneak out of the palace without being noted. Ever since she was a child, Sheik was the scapegoat Princess Zelda used to get a moment's reprieve. If you were born with such an ability to manipulate what gender you chose to be, why not utilize it?  For the first time since childhood; the mysterious youth allowed his face to be exposed. With features soft as a girl's, it wasn't a wonder he kept them hidden beneath the confines of a mask, he was already effeminate enough.

Chuckling softly at his staring, he found it appropriate to return his mask to it's place, if only to tease the other by giving him only a moment to see.  "A new evil has begun to arise, Hero." He retorted, glancing back to the blade in the pedestal. "Think of this as the Princess' authorization to do so. That's why I've come here." Keeping his back turned, he crossed his arms over his chest, leaning to one side. "It was through much deliberation that the Princess came to this decision, less I wouldn't be here..."  Glancing back, his ruby eyes glimmered slightly. "Draw your sword, Hero. Hyrule needs you once again. I doubt you'll be refusing? Or perhaps the Princess should seek help... elsewhere?" What fun was it if you couldn't tease the great hero once in a while?

    Sheik’s perceptiveness was part of Link’s current discomfort, he didn’t like having someone whom was capable of looking right through him so easily, it was unnerving. As the soft voice had sounded, he brought his attention back to him for a few moments, just staring dully before the object they were speaking of once again drew him in. It was true that returning to life was difficult to the point of being impossible, the feeling of being needed and having meaning had been taken away.

    In truth, he’d been harboring secrets within’ his heart for such a long time and the beginning of their adventure together had made some of those desires recognized.

    Now? It was over and done. He was just a normal troop member once again, only called upon when needed. Though he may have had the triforce in his hold, he was just a future prophecy for the next lifetime to unfold and understand. Just as his ancestors before him. The temporary hero with no other meaning once his mission had been fully fulfilled.

    ”Both.” He bluntly responded without missing a single beat. There was no reason to pretend to be modest… Link fully enjoyed the attention, the praise, the feeling of being wanted and even sought after. Being named the hero and reaping the benefits from it all.

    ”I get restless just sitting here. You do too, otherwise you wouldn’t be sneaking out and following after me, correct?”

It was almost humorous, the fact that the other became so easily unhinged. The look in his eyes said it all, though perhaps the young sheikah simply wanted to hear him say it. The thrill and excitement of fighting for ones life, for the safety of a Kingdom against the forces of Evil, it was definitely a better life than peace... Though many would likely disagree. Both.  Chuckling softly at the other's immediate answer, he glanced back to him once more, his crimson-hued eyes locking with the male's icy blue. Taken aback slightly at his observation, he suddenly broke eye-contact. "I suppose I'm not the only one with the power of perception, now am I..." He mused softly, glancing back to the sword once more. "Though that isn't the only reason I'm here, as fate would have it." Placing a hand on his hip, he reached up with his free hand to tug gently at the cloth that covered his face, pulling it down before finally turning his gaze back to the other. "The Goddesses answer the call of the Hero, it would seem." He began, motioning to the sword. "Draw your sword, Hero. Evil is looming on the horizon once more... Hyrule and the Princess both need you."

"The Princess had a dream recently... One that spelled the destruction of the Kingdom. A fearful darkness blanketed the land, the ringleader..." He trailed off, moving to walk past the Hero. "An enemy from days long passed, a dark spirit that has risen to power once more." Pulling the cloth back up in place, he glanced up to the sky as it began too change color, "The spirit of that evil mask. Majora."

►►► Ruby eyes stared intently upon the blonde male below; as he longingly gazed at the blade of Evil's bane sealed tightly in the pedestal. Leaping down from his perch; the male stepped forward, staring down at the sword in question before bringing his gaze to the other. "Checking on it," He mused, his tone slightly playful. "It's hard... isn't it?"  Crossing his arms across his chest, he tapped his fingers on his bicep gently. 

"When you've lived such an adventure; returning to a normal life can be... dull, boring... Listless." Murmuring softly, he brushed his own bandaged fingers over the blade's hilt. "The flow of time is always cruel." He lulled, feeling as though he'd spoken those words before. "Sometimes we yearn for that which is past... With good reason." Not usually a wordy one, the male sheikah turned his gaze back to the hero. "What is it you yearn for? The adventure, or the glory?" ◄◄◄
