I tried to stick as close as possible to their „official“ designs but i did take some liberties like leaving out rooks holsters? because i couldn’t figure out the right placement

No basically I had a massive sense of Deja vu when i watched wild life ep. 2 and yea now i know why :)

pt.5

KAI KAI KAI!

so the main lineup of my doomed AU is done YAY

if there is anything you’d like to hear about tell me bc i don’t have any idea as to what to continue with…

Timelineee:

So first of all I might get this completely wrong since I haven’t watched crystallized in a while but i will try

-Obviously the start of crystallized already has some major changes with Nya never turning into a human again

-Therefore they also never become the public enemies nr. 1

-In the meantime it’s mostly the new ninja that figure out all the crystal king stuff and boast it all around Ninjago

-Lloyd seeing everything still pretty rational at least compared to Kai (who to be fair just lost his sister and his brothers)so he decides to check this whole crystal thing out he infiltrates the council gets recognized and so on

-Kai after a while realizes that Lloyd hasn’t been checking in as he normally would so he decides to head out to find him

-Kai finds Lloyd yada yada everything as it is in canon

-The big fight starts but the other elemental masters are already there because otherwise they wouldn’t have a chance

-Lloyd and Garmadon go on to fight the Overlord while Kai pretty much leads everyone on the ground

-More and more people show up fighting on their side, people from prime empire, the ocean even some ghosts :)

-But even with all this support the fight seems to be a stalemate until the crystal army start pushing even further

-Kai watching allies and friends alike die in front of him is able to unlock the dragon form and turn the table in their favor

-Lloyd is also successful and wins his fight

-The citizens have a big celebration through the entirety of Ninjago in honor of the Ninja and their great victory

-Sadly ever since the big battle Kai has been growing incredibly tired to the point where he can’t stand for longer than 15 minutes

-At first Wu and Misako believed that it had to do with the dragon form but then decided that it couldn’t be the cause because Lloyd also unlocked his Oni form and while being a little shaken he is completely fine

-So they decide to set of to try and figure out what exactly is happening to Kai

-What they didn’t account for was that Lloyd had Oni blood in him which allowed him to use his Oni form

-Kai on the other hand is fully human and the dragon form that he took back then wants back the control of his body

-Slowly but surely he is transforming into a dragon and not the kind in the finale of crystallized but into an actual dragon

-Things start changing his hands growing bigger, horn breaking through his skull, his pupils changing shape and color…

-And while all this is happening all Lloyd could do was watch, watch as the last brother of his slowly looses hisself

Kai even once transformed into a full dragon (the lil sketch in the top left corner) never leaves Lloyds side. Heck, he seems even more protective now or at least more threatening with his fire mane, glowing eyes and black to red scales. Lloyd believes that Kai thinks that he is his clan especially since he has dragon blood in him. But he also thinks it’s weird that whenever Misako, Wu or anyone really tries to get to the monastery without him inviting them in, Kai will either pick them up and fly them to the bottom of the mountain or just throw them off it.

Just wait till dragons rising starts and people start hunting Kai :D

If you’re wondering why Nya and Kai aren’t digitally drawn but only traditionally… digital art is hard and exhausting

I’m not sure if I’ll do dragons rising but if the interest is there I might

I mean just imagine Aryn having the wildest theories about where the Og’s went and Lloyd just standing there trying not to destroy this little boys entire world view (like he would be pretending that kai isn’t kai and so on)

Or Zane actually being able to get to Lloyd now since the realms have merged

OH the possibilities

Pt.4! wuhuuu

NYA

Timeline Time!

So first of all Nya story will be similarly to Zane mostly canon :)

- So after Jay locked himself into prime empire the story continues as normal

-They get invited to Shintaru but they deny because they aren’t really in a partying mood

(Don’t worry i’ll get into whats going on in Shintaru another time though just not from the remaining ninja)

- Misako still decides to go on her adventure because shes well Misako and because she doesn’t care at all

- She’s also able to convince Wu to join and so Uncharted takes place as it does in canon especially since the Ninja don’t wanna loose anyone else anymore

- Seabound also remains mostly canon but Nya isn’t too upset about her mom being there since well Jays gone and she really wanted some sort of support without it weighing on her friends even more

- They also believe that Nyas powers are uncontrollable because of her immense sense of guilt that she has due to breaking up with Jay

- So then the events happen the same way they do in canon but theres most def a bigger struggle since they are down 3 teammates

- The Hydro Bountys engine doesn’t break in this version but its still damaged so badly that to continue would be way to dangerous

- They win the battle by Nya becoming the ocean and instead of her talking to Jay she talks with Kai but he isn’t able to convince her either, so she travels to the ocean where she then lives

- In canon she was able to regain her memories and return to the Ninja, sadly in this version this isn’t the case she stays in the ocean taking care of it and saving those in her domain

- But for many MANY years after her sacrifice she is still celebrated as the hero of Merlopia as it was one of the first decrees that king Benthomaar made but in the eyes of other ocean folks she is considered a goddess especially of hope and victory but also as grief and loss. She is the ocean ever changing and never the exact same

So Nya! Nya takes a more heroic role. She saves people that fall into the oceans, ships that are getting destroyed, fish that are caught in nets and so on. But she doesn’t care for whats going on on land. She has no memories but she still feels the same emotions, the need to save everyone, the insane amount of guilt (even if she doesn’t know why), a love towards thunderstorms but emotions aren’t memories and while she represents a small part of what Nya once was she isn’t really her…

She often hears people call her that name and she decided that its her name but it’s not like she actually recognizes it from anywhere

So i wanna apologize that her story is so short it’s not because I don’t like Nya or anything it’s just that the canon version works pretty well and i didn’t want to make unnecessary changes.

Pt.3 of the Doomed!Au

This time around JAY!

Timeline time:

- So the ninja return to Ninjago from the Neverrealm but without Zane

- They once again start grieving the loss of their teammate but since in Ninjago theres always something going on they are still doing missions

- On one of these said missions Jay finds an unfinished video game “Prime Empire” he sees this as something to do and as something that can distract him from everything going on

- For the next weeks ,heck months even he’s working on finishing the game in his room. Shutting everyone out and coming out of his room only every two days or so for the essentials

- The others get incredibly irritated and annoyed by his behavior but don’t really do anything because they think that this is his way of coping

- Nya though is pissed she needs his support right now but no all he does is lock himself up so she goes to “talk” to him

- They have a big argument about what grief is how to deal with it and everything. Nya thinks Jay should be there for her since she is his girlfriend but he’s to busy trying to deal with the loss of two of his brothers

- Nya then purely out of anger tells him that she’s breaking up with him and runs off, Jay tries to follow her but is way to exhausted (I mean he hasn’t been eating what was he expecting)

- So he decides to continue doing the thing that has been distracting him from his emotions

- After a week or so of useless programming he gets fed up and releases a big charge of electricity onto his computer

- Since he’s currently pretty weak and because it was a high voltage, he passes out and causes a blackout in Ninjago

- When he wakes up he’s in an weirdly familiar place he realizes its the game and that he has trapped himself inside its code

- Meanwhile in Ninjago many arcade cabinets and computers or so started glitching after the blackout and one after the other starts up “prime empire” while Jay finishes up the game from inside of it

- He also figures out that he can leave the game but it causes both him and his game to glitch like crazy

- the Ninja find out and try to talk to him but all he does is make a message appear on the screen and ban them from the game

Sooo Jay, Jay in this au is isn’t a hero or a villain he’s just Jay. He doesn’t trap people in his game like unagami but it is kinda hard to leave as you have to get through the main story line first or well die. If you asked him as to why he’s staying in the digital world he would answer sth along the lines of “The people here want me to be here” “They need me to be here” etc. He wants to make sure that the players are having fun and he keeps adding more and more features.

Also while the ninja are banned, Cole isn’t Jay hopes that since Cole shares his love for video games he might come visit one day. (He is 100% sure that Cole isn’t dead, the others called him crazy for it)

Also (since you can’t see it) he still has fangs from when he was almost turned into a serpentine but he hides them with his scarf.

The updates will now slow down because i have to work and stuff but I am planning on designing the main 6 ninjas at least.

Maybe even some side characters like Akita? i’m not sure yet.

There might be some textposts about more detailed versions of what exactly happened etc maybe even some smaller doodles :)

pt. 2!

Here’s Zane for my “doomed” Au :)

Back to the timeline:

- until Zane lands in the neverreal the story follows the canon version just without Cole

- once he is in the nerverreal theres not a lot of changes Vex still wipes his memories and manipulates him into believing he’s the ice emperor, but he is a little more aware of his actions and doesn’t just follow everything Vex says

- the ninja decide to come find him in the neverrealm, find the village, Lloyd splits off etc

- Since Cole isn’t there one of the others has to go get the tea leaves where in the process they get hurt due to craig but they are able to get the leaves and bring them back to the village where in the meantime borealis attacked

- Lloyd meets Akita (in wolf form) and the journey is pretty much the same

- they arrive at the castle where Lloyd realizes that the ice emperor is Zane

- but he isn’t able to remind Zane of who he is

- Akita still out for revenge kills Vex and then attacks Zane

- they fight but eventually both Akita and Lloyd are able to escape and return to the village

- Lloyd tells the others about what he learned but since they’re injured, Zane is seems to be unreachable and still are full of grief, they decide to brew the tea themselves and return back to Ninjago

- but Akita stays in the neverrealm

-the ice emperor, now alone, still rules the neverrealm, and well even without Vex there calling him a good ruler in any way would be wrong

lets just hope he doesn’t get bored of his realm

Zane in this au is more of an actual villain since after Akita kills Vex. He decides that both she and the guy in green are his enemies who deserve to die, for killing his advisor and attacking himself. He uses Borealis to travel the entire realm to try and find them. He found Akita relatively fast and through her figures out that Lloyd is far far away. So he continues to travel the neverrealm but never finds him (obviously). On his journey many more people and villages have to faith his wrath…

To explain the timeline:

- until season ten everything stays as normal its when cole falls into the oni cloud that the story changes

- instead of finding shelter and getting back to the monastery he well dies… :/

- but since he still somewhat carried yangs curse within him (through the ghost scar) he simply turns back into a ghost

- then he decides to try and find the others but fails since as in canon they’re already gone

- he gets incredibly angry at them because he’s always the one that has to save everyone but no one would safe him. He decides to go to the monastery because this is where he expects the others to be

- He’s right. And there he sees Nya with the scythe of quakes, now feeling both betrayed and replaced he decides to let them face the consequences.

- In a similar fashion to s4 the ninjas just kinda fall apart and decided to once again build a memorial

- From said memorial he’s then able to steal the scythe

- Then he returns to Yangs temple where he then finds the cursed blade (the silver scythe), which sends the people that are killed by it to the cursed realm

- Cole then fuses the two weapons together by melting them in the middle (using his lava arms) and then sticking them together

- Then for s11 the story continues as normal at least in ninjago ;) until Wu and Pixal accidentally bring the preeminent back, who then attaches a part of herself to cole almost corrupting him in a way

But since he’s still Cole he’s still vastly different from Morro. He isn’t controlled by the preeminent but rather he is controlling the preeminent. He’s also not a traditional villain in a way but rather an anti hero or villain. He doesn’t try to take over ninjago or anything he’s actually still helping the city. That is if you count killing heroes and villains alike as helping…
