What if abilities changed the appearance of a Pokemon?

Milotic is one of my favourite Pokémon designs - aspecially the shiny form! - so I wanted to give it a spin. Its abilities are really interesting and different from each other. Hoenn is a tropical region so I found a lot of inspiration from tropical fish.

Also, shoutout if you get the 436 water tiles reference. Players these days have it easy.

Kieran syndrome is syndroming

Nemona would be such a good influence on Kieran it isn't even funny.

Because suddenly, here's this person who is well known across the Paldea region for her battle prowess, so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if she had been offered a scholarship to attend Blueberry. She's enthusiastic, curious, and absolutely battle-crazy. She's strong, so strong in fact that hardly anyone wants to battle her anymore. And the one person who does, it the protagonist.

She's everything Kieran wanted be and more.

But she doesn't pursue victory, like he once did. When she loses to the MC, she's not upset with her own strength. No, she's ecstatic because she had an amazing battle, because she's having fun. She didn't become as strong as she is for strength, she did it for fun.

And Kieran really needs somebody like that after the Indigo Disk, I think.

okay now im on this train of thought. why does pokemon have some of the most diverse and lovingly written survivors of child abuse/neglect. every time i go to write my own stories i think 'nooo theres already enough stories about people surviving child abuse' but theres literally not its just that im super autistic about pokemon and theres like 8 different characters with that story line in pokemon and every single one is unique
