My OCs wish you a happy pride month!!!

Here’s my pride month art for 2025

I picked 9 of my OCs that were lgbtq, more info about each character and their respective story under the cut

Pink - Mara (she/her, transgirl) Mara is a living, breathing, walking mushroom. She has no eyes, and therefore, cannot see. she uses her spores to see the world around her (sort of like sonar) These spores poison anyone that comes near her. It isn't under Mara's control, it just happens. she wishes it didn't. Mara is lonely, but there isn't much she can do about it.

Red - Ibis (they/them, nonbinary) Ibis is the assistant of Ardea, one of the 8 leaders of Null Volare (a city of birds) Ibis isn’t content with how things are being run, but there isn’t much they can do about it. Or is there… (ibis is one of the main characters in my webcomic called “The Coup” that will be up on tapas later this summer if you’re intrigued by Ibis’s story!)

Green (top right) - Sarya (she/her, on that shit that makes you like girls) Sarya is a detective whose no nonsense, down to earth, and only believes in what she can see with her own eyes. but with every case, she seems to come across things that are supposed to be impossible

Orange - Ray Raiden (she/her, lesbian) in the year 2206 the world was plunged into a nuclear winter, all of humanity scattered and ran for the hills. Ray and her girlfriend, both formerly of the military have to survive alone in the ruins.

Yellow - Auro (he/him, grey-sexual/grey-romantic) info in this post, but to sum it up: he’s a selfish, bitter fallen god whose turned to alchemy now that his powers are greatly diminished.

Teal - Earth (they/them, nonbinary) Earth is a planet. Their father (sun) thinks of them as quite the disappointment. They don’t like to talk to others very much, except for their brother mars and their dog moon. They are fascinated by science and how the universe works.

Green again (bottom left) - Syble (they/them, nonbinary) Syble traveled across the ocean to meet their 500 year old (insert appropriate # of greats here) uncle, Odhran, who, to put it frankly, should be long dead. They work as an apprentice raven trainer and mail carrier as they learn about the secret that has kept their (insert appropriate # of greats here) uncle alive.

Blue - Arnav (they/them or it/its, agender) Arnav is a squid that lives in the deepest parts of the ocean. their skin burns in sunlight and they can't see so well so they mostly rely on their sense of touch. It is quite dissatisfied with where it lives and wants to go somewhere more beautiful.

Purple - Egbert (he/him, bisexual) Egbert is a shrimp who lives under the sea and is a royal guard for the Court of Crustaceans (he is very proud of this) despite being a guard, he has quite the fear of confrontation. Egbert and Arnav are best friends and often sneak off to go on adventures, despite their species not usually getting along.

Mermay day 3: Nishikigoi (koi)

Koi fish trace their lineage to the humble common carp, first domesticated in East Asia over a millennium ago. do you guys know about the internet roadtrip? right now somewhere between 500 and 900 people are collectively 'driving' a car on google street view trying to make it to canada. it's fun i recommend it
