You quickly grew on me the moment you hit my dashboard it’s insane.

Anyways I’m actually here to ask what your favorite xiv fish is? Like, either to catch or for displaying on your wall/in a tank or, whatever.

i think my favorite ffxiv fish in terms of actually catching it as well as appearance was Warden of the Seven Hues. it's one that looks kinda intimidating when you see the Intuition requirements but when you actually do it is kind of fun to strategize.

you have to catch 2 fish available one after the other for i think a 2 hour window, then mooch them to catch 3 of a different fish each (which is about a 50/50 shot). then you have to catch 5 of another fish that has a specific weather requirement. these all have to happen pretty close to each other so you need to time it right.

it is actually pretty simple once you memorize the bite strength of each fish, and make maximum use of triple hook, prize catch, identical cast, surface slap, etc. you need to use your GP pool optimally to have a decent chance at getting the fish which i think is fun, as it's more skill based that sheer luck.

the area you catch it in is nice as well, a tiered hot springs (i think) with water tinted in rainbow colors.

appearance wise it looks really cool (not my screenshot, i'm going to wait to catch the last 2 Stormblood fish before I plop this guy in my ONE (1) aquarium).
