If you ask him later, none of this is planned in the slightest. He never wanted to hurt anyone, not a soul. Not his best friends, not Juliet just now. None of them. But if you ask him now? It's all calculated. Every single piece of this puzzle makes perfect sense to him, every move is exactly as it should be. It's all just a big game of chess, one move determining the next. One wrong move, and it's game over.

"Oh, you know, nothing big really." Nothing big. Pigs blood, sure, but guts, saws, guns, cameras, gore, screams, emotional and physical trauma-- but he's still reading her. Still trying to decide how much he can actually trust her. He smiles, a little sinister. "If I told you I was in contact with a butcher shop, and I had found some tunnels that connected my parents' lodge to that old asylum-- what all would that do for you?" Okay, as calculated as he might be, he's still manic. And thus, still a little dumb. One day he'll learn not to spill all his secrets to someone who shows him just a fraction of affection!

A myriad of emotions flicker across her face --- disbelief, bewilderment and even excitement. The tone of the whole situation is a little...confusing to say the least. The worst part is, now he's got her curious. Hook, line, and sinker! Was it on purpose? Maybe. The intention isn't the important part. No, the curiosity that may kill the cat is. I just don't trust you. Ouch. That hurts ever so slightly, but she supposes it's understandable. Maybe he doesn't want her to ruin the surprise of it? Then again, who the fuck is she going to tell? Still it feels like he's baiting her to ask about it. Yet she doesn't want to rock the boat if she's wrong. Still she wants to know soooo bad.

"Oh! That's pretty rad. I hope whatever you've thought up is more creative than laxative laced cookies or pigs' blood on prom or even dead frogs in shoes..." Totally unfun and unoriginal. And she would know from experience. Knee bounces while she gnaws on her bottom lip. Don't ask. Don't ask. Don't ask. Don't a- "You know, if you just wanted to like give me a hint...."

He probably should have thought of a reason that wasn't... suspicious. It's weird to tell someone that you're excited because you've just perfected your plan to get back at all of your friends for basically killing your sisters. Well-- presumed murder, anyway. There's something deep down in him that will always hope for the best. Even if there's no evidence of that.

"Oh, I've got like. The best plan for a prank. But it's too good to share." That'll do it, right? It's not like Juliet would be interested in anything like that. Right? "Not that I don't trust you-- I just don't trust you! I'd die if someone else pulled this off before I could." Or tried to talk him out of it.

"Ooh, someone's got a bit of pep in their step!" The teasing remark is light, followed by a soft chuckle. A scrap of paper is utilized as a bookmark before the manga volume is slipped back into her purse. Head comes rest in her hands, claw-like nails careful not scratch stone-smooth skin, while elbows are rested upon her knees. "What's got you so like chipper today?" Grin falters a second as she quickly adds, "Not that you need a reason to be but..." A shrug is given and her smile is a little more sheepish and awkward then, lacking the usual confidence (faux or otherwise).
