I think "I'm not mad, I'm just dissapointed" is pretty much all im gonna say here. Because other people have already expressed all my thoughts in a well thought out and well written way. I will, however, say that I think a conversation with some hermits and a few firings would be ideal here.

I thought Skizz did apologize??? I saw that he made a statement

He made an "apology" statement that did not change the fact that he is scared to show support towards queer people's basic rights or the fact he has openly and loud maga moderators which contradicts what he has said. The fact is he has to learn a lesson that some people want other people dead and there is no way to make a "safe space" that includes both these groups of people.

If he wants to be cowardly that's his perogative but he's not the one who these people want dead, and he should not expect the support of queer people or for queer people to feel safe in a space with them if he does openly let them in. And there's a difference between being silent and openly signalling to that sort of person that they are allowed in a space. You are by doing so inviting them in and inviting them to be bolder in their bigotry. Skizz is inviting people into his community who would want his colleagues and supporters dead and that's not okay. If he really wanted such a contradictory space he should have been quiet and he should have hired quieter mods.

You should not let him get away with this, especially not in the current climate where rights are being eroded. When there is billions of other options for entertainment, I don't need this streamer in particular. You don't have to be cruel but you should show your disapointment and not give him your views. If he's worth keeping around in your life then he will change, genuinely or because of money. People get away with things like this because people don't do anything, and it allows the proliferation of these ideologies and apathy. He's not firing anyone and he's putting out mediocre apologies because he knows that's all he has to do to keep you. This should not be enough for you.

We ousted Iskall because his victims were tangible and stood up for themselves. The victims of this sort of thing are more nebulous, just like with the victims created by keeping harry potter in the public consciousness. But we can see the results that's led to.

I love my trans friends too much to expose them or myself to someone that could lead to their harm, indirectly or otherwise.

I haven't seen the clip yet, but I have read what happened.

And I think if Skizz got on a call with Joe we'd see those mods fired and a real apology within 30 minutes. Joe's really good at explaining stuff like how to not accidentally side with Nazis and bigots and alienate all of your trans audience.

I didn't do all the days, just all the hermits.

I’ve not had the time to draw a lot lately, and by lately I mean the whole last year…

I got full-time at work, my dominant side wrist started hurting like crazy at random times, and I stopped getting the serotonin from posting. I started playing D&D again, a true time-suck as I’m the DM!

Hopefully Hermit-A-Day May will give me the motivation to draw a bit. There is no way I’m drawing every hermit again this year, but I’ll at least try for a few. I have a couple cute ideas already.

I deleted all my posts with any art featuring Idkall in any way, it was about 7 pieces. Should I go back and change all the Iskalls into different hermits or just leave them in the trash? Idk, but I was a little shocked how many of the pieces were about him pranking, annoying, or harassing other hermits...
