someone: don’t u think it’s disturbing how in the past few years the level of femininity women are expected to perform and the industries they’re expected to contribute to in order to be taken seriously, especially on platforms like social media, has skyrocketed to the point that perfect makeup, contouring, acrylic nails, and eyelash extensions have become almost a social expectation and when women express no interest in adhering to those standards they’re met with vitriol and scorn straight woman who thinks Legally Blonde is the apex of feminist media: okay but it’s my choice? if i want to be feminine i should have the right to choose to do that because feminism is about choice

Judith butler is a self hating woman, self hating lesbian, so devoid of regular human contact, completely entrenched in her academic tower, creating works that's nothing but academic filibuster (to take from a Twitter user) meant to be nothing more than intellectual masturbation. she completely refuses to believe how her works have single-handedly been some of the most disastrous things to women's rights because she herself does not care and is not affected by them
#parental incest too#i hate her with a passion#and every time someone recommends her works i assume they're also misogynistic pedos#i know the kind of people who get impressed by this drivel don't actually read or understand it but still#judith butler

“In 2020, feminism is as simple as buying the right products. It requires no thought, no critical analysis, and no changing any other behavior of your own. When everyone is a feminist, no one is. And the fallacy of empowerment basically stuck a whole generation of women with the idea that being hot is the same thing as being powerful, without realizing that if your power goes away as soon as men don’t want to fuck you anymore, it was never yours to begin with.”

The source of womens oppression and patriarchy is men trying to control our reproductive capabilities.
Divorcing the word ‘woman’ from the source of our oppression (female biology) won’t make that oppression go away it just makes it harder to fight against.

The gender identity movement is narcissistic, immature and lacking in analysis. It puts personal identites over both material reality and true liberation. It has no understanding of how the patriarchy, the gender binary and the system of gender works, whatsoever. It’s a movement for people who are too lazy to think and fight.

why are so many modern communist in favour of sex work? not in the "sex work is empowering" sense but in the "it's an essential job that would still exist in a communist state" sense.
They're misogynists who haven't read half the theory they claim to have read. That's really it, that's the whole thing.
Marx, Engles, and Lenin all wrote and spoke about prostitution. All of them, every single one, considered it exploitation of women. Lenin in particular wrote and spoke extensively about prostitution as a class oppression that particularly affects women and called out the bourgoise hypocrisy of moral hand-wringing about prostitution while creating the conditions that force women into it.
A lot of male leftists call Lenin's refusal to see prostitutes as proletarian as "the bigotry of his time," but it is even simpler than that - they weren't proletarians because they weren't workers, because prostitution isn't labor.
Communist countries often had a difficult time trying to solve the issue of prostitution. Stalin's USSR saw a lot of weird flip-flopping between criminalizing prostitutes and seeing them as victims of exploitation in need of greater assistance, sometimes both simultaneously. One of Mao's first priorities was the eradication of prostitution in China. Large cities saw huge, sweeping legal crackdowns on brothels, pimps, and prostitutes. Smaller towns took an approach somewhat similar to the Nordic model, taking steps to discourage men from patronizing brothels until they could be completely shut down without the manpower required for the large busts. Prostitutes were re-educated on a massive scale, and prostitution was functionally eradicated in China until Deng's market reforms.
That is the correct, theoretical Marxist-Leninist-Maoist take on prostitution. Anything else is revisionism and misogyny.
But leftist men, like all men, cannot possibly imagine a world without pornography. Most of them don't see prostitutes or patronize strip clubs, but they are all pornsick. There's no consistent way to argue that porn is okay while all other forms of the sex industry are exploitative. So, instead, they take this liberal revisionist perspective that, "Sex work is no more coercive or involuntary than any other kind of wage labor, and of course women will still choose to do sex work in a communist society where their basic needs are met."
And that's the tea. 🍵

The hijab isn’t just a piece of cloth for this woman and many women all over the globe. It’s about men policing and taking control over women’s bodies.

“When you grow up as a girl, the world tells you the things that you are supposed to be: emotional, loving, beautiful, wanted. And then when you are those things, the world tells you they are inferior: illogical, weak, vain, empty.”

god i hate being asked for my pronouns. the implicit question is “how do you WANT to be seen, how do you CHOOSE to be seen.” i didn’t want to be female and the only “choice” i made was facing up to the reality that i can’t control.
when i frown and say “she,” i’m reporting nothing more than i was born female and i refuse to hide it or run away from reality anymore. but you hear “i LIKE this gender role, i CHOSE this gender role” and it’s so insulting and so utterly counter to my lifelong struggle to make peace with the things i cannot change about myself that it makes me want to scream :)
#pronouns?#nope i'm an atheist#only goof thing about this nonsense is you immediately know that person aint worth your time

Organisations like Mermaids (UK) push so hard for transition because they want to create passing trans kids, not GNC and visibly trans adults. Hide butch women away, hide effeminate gay men, pretend tomboys and boys in makeup don't exist. Slap the "trans kid" label on them, and you you're free to use them like guinea pigs.
If you "get 'em young", the effects of hormone therapy are stronger. These people want everyone to conform to heterosexuality and the male/female binary, so they're pushing medical transition onto GNC, same-sex attracted, neurodivergent, traumatised, and dysmorphic kids.
And looking at the rates of detransition, as well as health issues caused by puberty blockers/cross sex hormones, I am concerned for our children.

“Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist, and he now stars as a loveable cartoon TV detective. Roman Polanski raped a 13-year-old and has since won an Oscar to a standing ovation. Sean Connery is the celebrated embodiment of rugged cool, who has openly championed beating women in order to keep ’em in line. Bill Murray has been accused by his ex-wife of repeated, brutal physical abuse. Rick James was arrested for torturing and sexually abusing a woman for three days straight, only to have his image rehabilitated by Dave Chappelle years later. John Lennon is one of the most worshipped artists who has ever drawn breath, and he has copped to battering the shit out of women.”
