"I'm sorry, but do I know you..?" the stranger spoke, pushing the hair from their eyes to examine the individual.
“I-Im sam… We’re in the same math class i-i think.. alek right?” The boy spoke. He was a bit chubby and on the shorter side. He had a medical.stutter which didn’t ease his anxiety at all

He silently nodded. Not once had Clementine attempted to look up at the other individual, however as an empty silence fell over the two he peeked up at him.
"You're my partner, right? I'm Orenji, it's nice to meet you," the boy said, smiling softly. He had sleek orange hair and light brown eyes behind rectangular framed glasses. He sat down in the empty seat next to his new partner.
“Th…That’s me.. I’m Cl…Clementine… you can call me Clem though.. If it’s easier..” the boy whispered, keeping his head facing down, eyes trained on the grains of wood in his desk.

Clementine seemed to tense up as he tried to think of what to say next. His brain ran a mile a minute and yet not a single idea crossed his mind. “I’m not really sure either... I’m not that super creative... or interesting...”

He offered a half hearted smile in return, trying to formulate his next words carefully.  He was always afraid that he would mess up his words and ruin the conversation.  “Do.. do you have any topics o-or roles in mind...? For.. for the project.. o-obviously.. you knew that.. sorry..”

"Yeah. That’s me. Can I help you?”
Alek crossed their arms with a stern look towards the boy. He took in the features carefully. The other was obviously nervous, causing Alek to drop their guard just as quickly as they had put it up, however they still remained cautious.
