ੈ✩‧₊˚ not even sex can stop him from being a huge nerd

your laptop sat open on the desk, half-forgotten as your fingers trembled over the keyboard. the assignment deadline loomed, but it was really hard to focus when your boyfriend was buried between your thighs, lapping at you with slow, deliberate strokes.
kuroo had been at it for at least twenty minutes, taking his sweet time, letting the occasional deep groan vibrate against your pussy just to watch you squirm. he was always like this—half a menace, half a worshipper—dragging you right to the edge only to pull back and start over. it was infuriating.
you bit your lip, trying to stay somewhat composed, your hips shifting toward his mouth as he sucked your clit between his lips and rolled his tongue against it in that obscene way that made your toes curl. you barely managed to type another sentence before a sharp whimper escaped your throat, and he chuckled—smug bastard.
“mm, getting close?” his voice was muffled, lips brushing against your slick folds.
“y-yeah, so stop—”
but of course, he didn’t stop. he paused. and that was somehow so much worse.
instead of diving back in like a decent boyfriend, he lifted his head slightly, fingers idly tracing patterns against the inside of your thigh. “you know, i read this study the other day about how the female orgasm actually lasts three times longer than the male’s,” he mused, voice far too casual for someone who had his face drenched in your juices. “it has something to do with the way the pelvic muscles contract—”
“tetsu, i swear to fucking god—”
“no, but listen—” he pressed a quick kiss to your clit, as if that would make up for his absolute nonsense. “the average male orgasm lasts about six seconds, right? but for women, it’s closer to twenty. and some women can even have multiple in succession. isn’t that fascinating?”
your entire body twitched with frustration. “tetsurou.”
“what?” he asked, blinking up at you with faux innocence, lips glistening with proof of just how not innocent he was.
“either put that mouth to better use or—”
you barely had a second to brace yourself before he groaned—that deep, gravelly sound that sent heat curling in your belly—and devoured you like he had something to prove. his tongue flicked against your clit, fast and relentless, two fingers pressing inside you with that perfect curl, stroking the exact spot that made your back arch clean off the chair.
you barely had time to suck in a breath before pleasure slammed into you, your entire body trembling as you came with a broken, desperate moan. and he didn’t stop.
“mmh, see?” he mumbled against you, his words vibrating through your overstimulated nerves. “multiple in succession. science is so fucking cool.”

kuroo tetsurou and you did not have lots of interactions, usually.
so you were more than surprised when he turned to you during chemistry class and looked at you through the tuft of black hair falling into his eyes and let out a string of words that seemingly made no sense to you. his gaze cast away, a certain air of embarrassment hanging in the air when you didn’t answer, and he turned away, mumbling to himself.
“wait, did you just compare me to acid?”
“no, not acid— more like…the reaction is just so explosive, like us— i mean, just us as in people, or like—” he breathed out carefully, and then shook his head at himself, laughter stealing itself to his voice as he rubbed his jaw, “never mind. i already fucked it up.”
now, you were not the brightest person in this world, but you could smell a butchered pick up line from a mile away. and the way kuroo tetsurou rested his chin on the inside of his hand, fingers covering his temple, effectively shielding his face from you, with the faintest of pink covering his ears, told you just how secretly embarrassed he was.
kuroo was cute, you thought.
it didn’t take a miracle for you to come to the conclusion, especially not when you were used to hearing his loud voice boom through the class during the breaks. he was the one trying to keep some class-visiting friends in line, naturally assuming the leading role to hush them down, blissfully unaware at the same amount of loud energy he was returning. he also didn’t escape you when he tried coaxing his blonde friend to eat more, offering to share his food only to try to bait him into taking it instead, when he got rejected.
you didn’t interact often, but kuroo tetsurou’s presence was hard to miss and the tiny flutter of your heart in response to noticing him hard to ignore.
“so,” you leaned a little over to him, and subconsciously, he had already started to accommodate you, lowering his head to catch your voice, “if you had to guess and we were, say, a chemical compound, would we be stable or unstable?”
his eyes lit up, a sly little look overtaking the embarrassment despite the little blush on his cheeks, and you could see his mouth curving up into a little grin, entirely too comfortable to walk the line between smooth-talking and sounding like the biggest nerd you had the fortunate luck of sharing seats with, “good question. we’d probably be unstable.”
oh.
you already felt your blood rushing to cover your skin in an embarrassed hue of red because you thought you were slick with that one. unstable? humiliating— but then he continued talking.
“but in a good way, you know? like, when two elements are drawn together, even if it’s turbulent. a little bit of controlled chaos makes things exciting, right?”
he looked at you with what was supposed to be a lazy smirk, though it wobbled with slight nervosity. one finger of his tried to brush away his fringe of hair, but the black strands fell back onto his face almost effortlessly. he really was cute, and for a split second you wondered the type of kisser he would be.
“so, like sodium and water?”
“okay, hold,” he held up a hand, trying to keep his expression in check (and failing to do so), “maybe not that exciting. that’s a little too dangerous, though it’s nice to know you like me that much.”
you nudged his shoulder away from you at the cheesiness, body straightening up again and an eye roll escaped you though you were anything but annoyed. if anything, you were a little charmed by the cowlicked hair, his eyes trained on you and the slight smile that didn’t know whether it should make fun of you or flirt with you.
maybe he could do both.
you then decided to just try your luck because there was no way he tried to actually flirt with you using chemistry if he wasn’t at least the least bit interested, right?
“yeah, yeah. maybe you should teach me some of that.”
he stared for a little while, silent and stumped (because it worked? holy—), though when he turned back to look back to the front of the class, you noticed the small, secret movement of him fist pumping the air and the stifled smile threatening to overtake his features.
(after class, you definitely didn’t overhear kuroo tetsurou whisper-yelling that you didn’t deny liking him, only for him to act all cool about it in the same minute.
as if it was only natural for it to happen, he kept flexing his arms and striking ridiculous poses at the prospect that you supposedly were only one hair width away from being wooed by him.
his blonde-haired friend did not seem impressed. at all.)

One thing that Kuroo will do without fail, is smile in between kisses. It can never just be a peck before work because he needs to give you at least two so he can smile against your lips and have an excuse to kiss you properly the next one. One thing he loves about smiling against your lips is that it is almost guaranteed that you will end up smiling too.

When you messaged Suna to ask if he could send you a video of Atsumu for a friend, the side of his lip lifted in a little scowl. He considered it for a second before sending you a video of Atsumu sneezing into his towel at a volleyball game, before handing it to Osamu for him to unknowingly rub his face with it.
Suna watched from across the cafeteria as you frowned, leaning away from your phone screen in disgust as you watched the video. It made a small laugh huff between his lips as he tried to hold back the satisfied smile.
From y/n: I can’t send this to her?? she’s head over heels for that piss-head
From Suna: oh it’s actually for your friend
With an ungraceful sound of realisation that you were in fact asking for a friend and not just using it as a cheeky excuse, Suna glanced at Atsumu who was currently stuffing his face with onigiri, his cheeks covered in stray rice as he talked while chewing.
From Suna: he doesn’t have any good angles tho, you’re on your own
And he thrived in the way you found his eyes across the room to hit him with a glare because at least you weren’t the one crushing on the twin. Even if you were, his video planted enough doubt in the Miya genes to last until he finally asked you out. Crisis averted.
I've fallen ill and will be taking a bit longer on the requests for my event, so have this drabble in the meantime<3

Slap Ass Friday (Haikyuu! x Reader) - Pt. 2
a/n: had to continue this series with some of my other faves. there's an explanation to this idea in my author notes in part 1 if you haven't already read. masterlist still currently in the works, currently trying to post every sunday
word count: 1223
likes, reblogs, replies, and requests are always appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read my work :)
warnings: suggestive content, spanking
Part 1, Part 2
・❥・Miya Atsumu ・❥・
The sharp squeak of sneakers against the gym floor grew louder as you stepped inside, each stride bringing you closer to the volleyball court, minding your own business. Out of nowhere, a sharp smack stung your backside, making you yelp in surprise. Whipping around, you found your boyfriend, Atsumu, standing a few feet away, hands on his hips and a wide, toothy grin stretched across his face.
"Miya Atsumu!" you barked, glaring daggers at him as your face burned. Your face twitched slightly as you tried to hold back the smile threatening to creep in.
"Relax, darlin'!'' he said, holding his hands up in mock innocence. "It's slap ass Friday! I can't not participate in the tradition, especially if my girlfriend is caked up like the baddie she is," he winked.
"That is not an excuse!" you snapped, now smiling as you marched toward him.
"C'mon, it was just a lil' tap!" he teased, laughing as he sidestepped your attempt to hit his ass back. "Ain't my fault ya got such a smackable—"
"Finish that sentence, and I'll make sure you don't forget what Friday's are all about," you warned, cutting him off.
Atsumu laughed even harder, backing up as you lunged at him. "Yer cute when yer mad, ya know that?" he called over his shoulder, making a quick retreat toward the entrance of the court.
"Get back here, you coward!"
"Catch me if ya can, babe!" he shouted, jogging away with that infuriating grin plastered on his face, fully enjoying the chase.
You eventually gave up after running up and down the court a few times, panting as he doubled over in laughter. "I hate you," you muttered in between breaths, though the smile tugging at your lips betrayed your words.
"Ya love me," winking again with a wide smile, still completely unrepentant.
・❥・Miya Osamu ・❥・
You were halfway through rearranging your books in your locker when you felt a sharp, unexpected slap on your butt. Spinning around as you held rear end, you found Osamu standing there, munching on a rice ball with his free hand, looking infuriatingly calm.
"Osamu!" you whisper-yelled, your eyes wide as you looked around if anyone else saw. Luckily, no one even had batted an eye.
He glanced at you with a casual raise of his brow, chewing thoughtfully. "What?"
"Don't 'what' me! Did you just—"
"It's Friday," he interrupted, as if that explained everything.
You blinked, your jaw dropping slightly. "That doesn't give you the right to—"
"It's slap ass Friday," he clarified, his tone deadpan, though the faint smirk tugging at his lips gave him away. "Tradition."
You exhaled sharply, pressing your fingers to your temples. "Unbelievable."
Osamu leaned against the lockers beside you, leaning towards you, watching your reaction with quiet amusement. "You're not that mad though, are ya?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.
"Don't push your luck, 'Samu," you muttered, though your cheeks burned at his smirk.
He let out a quiet chuckle, his voice dipping even lower as he leaned in more, mere centimeters from your lips. "Guess I'll be seein' ya next Friday."
・❥・Iwaizumi Hajime ・❥・
You were lazily scrolling through your phone while walking to your next period, completely oblivious to the sharp-eyed boy trailing behind you.
Iwaizumi had been watching you from a few paces back, the faintest smirk playing on his lips. It was Friday after all, and he had an opportunity too perfect to pass up.
Just as you rounded the corner near the lockers, you felt it: a sudden spank on your butt that had you freezing mid-step. The sting barely registered before you spun around, your eyes wide with a mix of shock and indignation.
He stood frozen a few feet away, his hand still raised as if caught in the act. His smirk immediately gave way to panic as he saw the fire in your eyes. "W-what? It's slap ass Friday babe!" he blurted out, already stepping back defensively.
"Excuse me?!" you huffed, crossing your arms. "What makes you think you get a free pass to do that?!"
He groaned, his free hand shooting to the back of his neck as he avoided your glare. "You literally said it was fine last time," he muttered under his breath, a faint blush creeping across his cheeks.
You raised an eyebrow. "I said it was fine with a warning! Not—" You gestured to wildly at him, "—this ambush!"
"Well, sorry for making it fun," he quipped, but the redness in his face betrayed the cool exterior he was trying to maintain.
"You're impossible." You let out an exasperated sigh, but the corner twitched upward in amusement. He looked like a puppy that had just been scolded for chewing up your shoes.
"Alright, alright," he relented, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "Next time, you'll get a heads up."
"I'll believe it when I see it," you retorted, brushing past him, though the faint smile on your face gave away that you weren't entirely mad.
The following week, you were standing with a group of friends, distracted by conversation. Iwaizumi slid into the seat next to you, casual as ever, but leaned in closer than usual. You turned your head, confused, only for him to murmur two words that sent you into fight-or-flight mode:
"Brace yourself."
"What—"
Before you could finish the question, he was already jogging off, throwing you a grin over his shoulder as you yelled his name loud enough for the entire cafeteria to hear.
It was a game to him now. And while you hated to admit it, you didn't really mind being the target.
・❥・Oikawa Tōru ・❥・
You had just stepped out into the courtyard when you heard someone shout, "Y/N-chan! Watch out!"
Before you could even process the warning, a loud slap echoed across the yard. You gasped at the fiery sting on your ass and turned around to see your boyfriend standing a few feet away, grinning like he’d just won a trophy.
"Tōru!" you shouted, your face burning as a few students nearby snickered.
"Babe, it's slap ass Friday you know!" he said dramatically, pointing at you like he'd just revealed some universal truth.
"Who even made up this stupid rule?!" you shot back, taking a step toward him, your glare promising revenge.
"You're wasting time yelling when you should be chasing me!" he teased, already jogging backward with that signature smirk plastered on his face.
"Come back here, you absolute ass!" you yelled, immediately taking off after him. He darted through the crowd with skillful footwork, weaving between classmates and laughing loudly every time you got close.
When you finally cornered him near the vending machines, you were panting and fuming. Oikawa held up his hands in surrender, still smirking. "Alright, alright, I admit it—I deserved to be chased. But you can't deny that was a perfect hit."
"Oh, I can deny it," you huffed, reaching out to smack his shoulder. He dodged at the last second, laughing as you glared at him.
"Don't be mad, Y/N-chan," he said, leaning in with an overly sweet smile. "It's all in good fun, right?"
"You're lucky I don't trip you next time, Tōru," you muttered, though a small grin tugged at your lips.
"Next time?" he echoed, grinning wider. "Does that mean you're already looking forward to next Friday?"
"You're impossible, you know that?"

Happy Birthday Rinnie
Suna celebrates his birthday reluctantly with his friends and you, but the night ends with heartfelt confessions and an unspoken shift in your relationship.
word count: 2230
a/n: rinnies bday was the perfect motivation to get back into writing, i have a lot of stuff in the works plus a masterlist that'll be coming up soon, hope you enjoy :) i posted this a day late by accident, oh well 🫶🏼
likes, reblogs, replies, and requests are always appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read my work :)
Suna didn’t want a big celebration. Birthdays, in his opinion, were just another day. But you and his friends thought otherwise, insisting on taking him out for his special day. The venue—a karaoke room—was the last place he expected to be celebrating. You and the boys had promised it would be a 'chill night,' filled with drinks and the usual good vibes, just like any other hangout. Yet here he was, slouched in a booth, arms crossed, and wearing an unimpressed expression as Atsumu butchered yet another song.
At least you had been thoughtful enough to kick things off earlier with a quieter gesture—showing up at his place earlier in the day with a bag of his favorite candy, chupets, and a birthday card with a cute note written inside.
"You didn't have to," he said as he took the bag, glancing down at the card in your handwriting.
"I know," you'd replied with a shrug, your tone casual but warm. "But it's your birthday. I figured someone should spoil you a little," a soft smile on your face as you made eye contact.
"Thank you." he gave you a small nod and tucked the bag into his hoodie pocket—but you caught the faintest hint of a smile as he read the card.
Now, as Atsumu's voice cracked in the worst way possible, Suna popped one of the chupets into his mouth, enjoying the fruity flavor. He didn't even try to hide his smirk as the rest of the table burst into laughter at Atusmu's expense.
"Are you tone-deaf, or are you doing this on purpose?" Suna deadpanned, taking a sip of his drink.
"Oi, I sound fantastic!" Atsumu barked back, gripping the mic like his life depended on it. "Y/N's probably swoonin' right now!"
You snorted in response, unable to hold back your laughter. "If by 'swooning' you mean trying not to cry from secondhand embarrassment, then yeah, sure."
Osamu nearly spat out his drink, doubling over with laughter, while Suna let out a quiet chuckle beside you. "Sounds about right," Suna muttered in agreement, smirking.
"I will give it to you, you at least have some what of a stage presence," you teased Atsumu.
Suna tilted his head slightly toward you, "Stage presence doesn't save him from being terrible, though."
You chuckled, nudging his arm. "You're one to talk, Mr. 'I'll Just Sit in the Corner and Judge Everyone'. When's your turn?"
He didn't reply right away. Instead, he casually pulled out his phone and aimed it at Atsumu, who was currently belting out a high note so off-key that even the karaoke machine seemed to struggle keeping up.
"What are you doing?" you asked, leaning closer to peek at his screen.
"Documenting this," he said flatly, his thumb tapping the screen to record. "For posterity. Or blackmail."
You burst out laughing, trying to keep quiet so Atsumu wouldn't notice. "He's gonna kill you when he finds out." You paused, "Also, send me that, would you?"
"He won't, and you bet," he replied, completely unfazed. "I've got a whole folder of these. He's never caught on."
Your laughter only grew, and you had to stifle it with your hand. Meanwhile, Atsumu threw his whole body into the final note, eyes closed like he was performing for an audience of thousands.
"Perfect," Suna muttered under his breath as he ended the recording, tucking his phone back into his pocket with the faintest smirk of satisfaction.
Suna raised an eyebrow at your previous comment, his tone dripping with mock disbelief. "Also, do you really think I'm gonna get up there and make a fool of myself? On my birthday?" holding his hand up to his chest with slight sass. "Yeah, no thanks."
"Who said you had to be good?" you said with a grin. "Just sing something. It's your birthday, Suna. Live a little." you softly nudged his arm again.
Before he could respond, Atsumu's voice cracked in the worst way possible, all of you erupting in laughter. Even Suna couldn't hold back the chuckle that escaped him.
"Okay, okay, that's enough of you," Osamu said, pulling the mic out of his twin's hands. "I'll save the night. Lemme show you how it's done."
"Good luck followin' that act of brilliance," Atsumu slurred, flopping into the seat beside you.
Osamu rolled his eyes as he chose a vocally demanding song. His smooth, steady voice filling the room as the group quieted to listen. You leaned closer to Suna, your shoulder brushing his. "See? Not so bad when someone who can actually sing is up there," you whispered.
Suna hummed in agreement, glancing at you out of the corner of his eye. "You're next," he said suddenly.
Your eyes widened. "Wait, what? No, I—"
"Yup. It's settled," Suna said, cutting you off as he leaned back in his seat. "You made me come here. Least you can do is sing something. Fair trade."
"But I wasn't the one complaining," you protested, your voice hushed as Osamu continued his song.
Suna's lips curved back into a smirk, his tone teasing. "You don't wanna leave me hanging on my birthday, do you?" He challenged you with his eye contact.
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. "I hate you."
"No, you don't," he said, clearly enjoying himself.
When Osamu's song ended, you all clapped, and Atsumu immediately began scrolling through the song list for his next pick. Before he could choose, Suna casually pointed at you.
"Your turn," he announced, his voice calm but loud of enough to catch the twins attention.
They turned to you, and you shot Suna a glare. He looked completely unbothered, a lazy grin on his face as he leaned on the table.
"Do it!" Atsumu cheered, slapping the table. "C'mon Y/N, let's hear that beautiful voice!"
"Don't worry, it's just us, Y/N," Osamu said, far less obnoxious but still encouraging.
With no escape from this scenario, you sighed dramatically and grabbed the mic. "Fine, but if I'm embarrassing myself, I'm blaming you," jutting your chin in Suna's direction.
"You'll be great," he said, his smirk softening into something almost fond.
You scrolled through the long song list, your nerves easing a bit when you found one you liked. As the music started, you took a deep breath, trying to ignore the way Suna's eyes stayed on you.
The guy's cheered you on as you sang, Atsumu waving his arms like you were performing in an arena. Even Suna, who usually masked his emotions, looked quietly impressed, his lips twitching into a smile when you hit the chorus. When you finished, they erupted into applause and yells of praise. You put the mic back in the stand and returned to your seat with a flushed face.
"See?" Suna said as you sat back down, slightly breathless from your performance. "Not bad."
"Not bad?" Atsumu repeated, still waving his arms around. "That was amazing! Ya totally showed me up!"
"Not a hard thing to do," Osamu deadpanned, but his tone was warm as he gave you an approving nod. "Good job. Saved the night after 'Tsumu nearly burst everyone's eardrums."
"Hey!" Atsumu shot back, attempting to glare at his twin but slumping further into his seat, his head lolling against the backrest.
You stifled a laugh, leaning closer to Suna. "I think he's officially tapped out for the night," you murmured.
Suna glanced at Atsumu, then Osamu, his expressiuon unreadable but his eyes sharp. "Yeah, he can barely keep his head up. Let's wrap it up before someone has to carry him out."
"Yeah, you read my mind, pal," Osamu was already standing to gather their things. "C'mon, 'Tsumu. Time to go."
"Guy's, I'm fine!" Atsumu protested, throwing an arm around his brothers shoulders. "Let's do another round!"
"Yeah, no." Osamu replied flatly, struggling to hold his twin upright with a grunt. "Y/N, thanks for tonight. Suna, happy birthday and make sure you get home in one piece, yeah?"
"Always do," Suna said with a shrug, standing and stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"Thanks for coming, guys," you said, waving at the twins as they stumbled toward the door together. Osamu shot you a grateful look, while Atsumu was too busy humming a tune to notice much of anything.
When the door closed behind them, the karaoke room felt quieter, more intimate. Suna was leaning against the wall now, his eyes fixed on you.
"So," you said, grabbing your belongings. "Guess it's just us now."
"Guess so," he replied, pushing his shoulders off the wall and falling into step beside you as you walked out of the bar. The night air was cooler than you expected, making you wrap your jacket tighter around yourself.
The two of you walked in companionable silence for a while, the muffled sounds of the city filling the gaps between your words. You could feel his presence beside you—calm, steady, but something in his silence felt... different tonight.
"You know," you said breaking the quiet, "I didn't think you'd actually enjoy tonight."
Suna's hands were stuffed into his hoodie pocket, his gaze focused ahead, but there was a flicker of something soft in his expression. "I didn't think I would either."
You gave him a sideways glance, your lips twitching into a smile. "But you did, right?"
He let out a soft chuckle, his hooded eyes meeting your gaze. "Yeah. Especially now that I have those embarrassing videos of Atsumu drunk." He paused, "But yeah, you got me. It wasn't as bad as I thought.
You laughed, "Wow, high praise," you teased, your voice light. "Maybe I should've gotten you a cake too."
Suna stopped walking suddenly, and you turned to look at him in surprise. His gaze was uncharacteristically serious.
"Y/N," he said quietly, taking his hands out of his pocket. “Thanks. For tonight. For dragging me out, for putting up with all of it… for just… being there.” He reached a hand out to grab one of yours, giving it a squeeze.
Your cheeks warmed under his gaze, squeezing his hand back. Smiling up at him, “I told you—you deserve to be celebrated, even if you don’t think so.”
He stared at you a moment longer, taking in all your beautiful features. He sighed, shaking his head as he looked down at your entertwined hands, “You’re too good to me,” he muttered.
Before you could respond, Suna pulled you closer with the hand he was holding. You barely had a moment to register the shift before your back met the cool surface of the wall of the nearby building. His eyes, usually so calm and unreadable, were now searching yours, filled with something you couldn't quite place—but it made your heart race.
"Do you have any idea," his voice low, careful, "how much I... how much tonight meant to me?"
You opened your mouth to respond, but the words didn't come. Before you could find them, Suna leaned in, brushing his lips against yours, testing, waiting. The hesitation melted away as you leaned into him, your fingers gripping the front of his hoodie to pull him closer.
The kiss deepened, slow but fervent, like he was pouring everything he couldn't say into it. His hand slid up to cup your face, his thumb brushing your cheek in a way that sent a warm shiver down your spine. He kissed you as if the world had narrowed down to just the two of you, the city noise fading into a distant hum.
When he pulled back, it was only for a moment—just enough to catch his breath, his forehead pressing against yours. His hand lingered on your cheek, his touch grounding and soft.
"You make everything better. You're the best thing that's happened to me in a long time," he whispered, his voice soft but carrying a weight that made your chest tighten in the best way.
You smiled, your fingers still gripping the front of his hoodie. "You're such a sap tonight," you teased lightly, your voice slightly breathless but warm.
"Don't tell anyone," he replied, the corner of his mouth twitching up into a smirk. "Gotta keep my reputation intact."
You laughed softly, the sound easing the intensity of the moment. "Your secret's safe with me."
Suna pulled back just enough to see your eyes, something unspoken passing between you. Then, without a word, he reached for your hand, lacing his fingers with yours as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
The two of you started walking again, the quiet city streets stretching ahead. The chill in the air seemed to fade, the warmth of his hand grounding you as you walked side by side.
"So," you began, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye. "Does this mean you owe me now for dragging you out tonight? Maybe next time you're the one planning something fun."
"Don't push your luck," he said, though the squeeze of his hand against yours betrayed his dry tone.
"Noted," you replied with a grin.
The conversation shifted easily, flowing into a casual back-and-forth as if nothing monumental had just happened between you. But as you glanced at your intertwined hands, a warm sense of certainty settled over you.
Whatever this was between you and Suna, it didn't need to be said aloud. It was already understood.

꩜ MY OTHER BOYFRIEND .ᐟ

GN!reader x Kuroo fluff/crack(?)
you know who i'm talking about and going for. feel like it makes the most sense

“What do you mean you don’t want to marry me?” Kuroo’s voice rings loud.
You bite your lip. “Babe, you have to understand—”
“You’re picking him over me? Your boyfriend of 4 years?”
“He’s like, my other boyfriend. And I’ve liked him longer!”
“You’ve—I’m about to throw up.”
“You’re being dramatic and you know it.”
“Oh my god, this is how those Christmas movie finance boyfriends feel, isn’t it?” He gasps. A hand slams against his desk, and you assume the other over his mouth as his voice gets muffled. It’s quieter, disbelieving, “You’re picking this guy made of 500 pixels over me.”
Tetsurou’s character leaves your crops half watered in favour of walking over to yours. His voice gets low and you try your best not to laugh, or think about everything you wanted to get done today. “Tell me you’re joking.”
“Tetsu, listen,”—you move your character closer—“you haven’t played his heart events, you don’t know him like I do.”
“I don’t know him like you do?” He almost yells. “He doesn’t know you like I do!”
“In my heart he does!”
“Throwing up. I’m throwing up right now. You’re laughing and I’m throwing up.”
“You can marry one of the other love interests!” You offer, trying to reign in your amusement and pacing around your boyfriend’s still character. “What about, uh, Harvey? Is he your type?”
“No, no, no, no,” he refuses, adamant. “I know what I’m gonna do.”
The time ticks away and you wait, even though both of you wanted to go to the mines before it got late. The sound of typing and clicking comes through your headphones, but Tetsurou remains un-moving.
It’s when you swear you can hear him writing something down that you furrow your brows.
“...Tetsu,” you call out. “Tetsu, what are you doing?”
He finally moves, coming up to you and lowering his voice one more time. “Looking up that guy’s favourite gifts and marrying him first so you can’t.”
“Wh— Tetsurou!”
“I’m getting so many frozen tears”—he starts to run from you and cackles—“I’m homewrecking this homewrecking!”

It started with little things, small irritations that you wouldn't have thought twice about. Your boyfriend, Kuroo, had always been an easygoing guy. His dry humor and sharp wit was the perfect balance to any stressful day—but today was different.
When you suggested grabbing coffee before running errands, his response was clipped, almost curt. "We don't have time for that," he muttered. You blinked, slightly taken aback, but you brushed it off. Maybe he was in a hurry today. No big deal.
Normally, he'd joke about being late or tease you about your caffeine habits, but today he barely glanced your way as he headed for the door. Just as he was about to lock it, he realized he'd forgotten his keys. His jaw clenched tightly, the usual lighthearted banter absent from his lips.
"Don't worry, I'll go grab them," you offered with a smile, hoping it would ease the attitude growing within him. It sounded like he muttered something under his breath that sounded a lot like, "Whatever."
At the store, it continued—his usual calm frayed at the edges. He seemed restless, impatient in a way that wasn't like him. When you asked if he wanted anything, he just shrugged. And when you picked up a snack you knew he liked, hoping to cheer him up, he sighed, "I don't need that." You didn't want to push it any further so you put the snack away.
The next hour was filled with similar moments. He snapped when you asked which brand of detergent to buy, muttering something about "just pick one already." When you tried to lighten the mood, making a joke about the endless lines at the store, he just grunted in response, barely acknowledging you. The rest of the errands followed the same tense pattern. When he did respond to you, his tone was callous, and it didn't help that every small inconvenience seemed to irritate him even more.
You weren't sure whether to address it or leave it alone. Every time you tried to ask him what was wrong, he'd brush it off with a halfhearted joke or a quiet "it's nothing." The Kuroo you knew always had a smile, a teasing quip ready to lighten the mood. But today, it was like he was wearing a mask that didn't quite fit, his usual humor stretched too thin.
By the time you got home, the tension between you was palpable. As you stepped inside, he lingered near the door, as if unsure whether to follow you in. You set the groceries on the counter, watching him from the corner of your eye. His fingers were drumming against his thigh, an anxious habit you hadn't seen in him for a long time.
"Tetsu," you said softly, unsure how to approach it. "Is everything alright?"
"I'm fine," he said, too quickly, too sharply. He turned his back, staring at the front door.
You couldn't take it anymore. Whatever was the cause of his poor attitude was getting to you and it needed to stop for his sake. "Kuroo, if something's bothering you, you can tell me. You're not acting like yourself."
He froze in place, his shoulders tensing up. For a second, you thought he might ignore you again, but then he turned around, his eyes flashing with frustration. "Why do you always have assume something is wrong?" he snapped, his voice louder than it had been all day. "Why can't we just get through one day without you assuming something's wrong with me?"
You flinched, taken aback by his sudden outburst. He had never spoken to you like that before, and for a moment you didn't know how to respond. "I'm just worried," you said quietly. "You've been… off today. I care about you and just wanted to help."
"Help?" Kuroo's voice cracked, and for the first time today, he looked at you—really looked at you. His eyes were wide, filled with intensity you hadn't seen before. "You think you can help? What, are you going to make everything better with some comforting words, a little pep talk?"
You blinked, your stomach twisting at his harsh tone. His words stung, but more than that, they confused you. This wasn't the Kuroo you knew and loved—the one who was always calm, who never lashed out like this. "I don't know," you admitted softly, not breaking eye contact, trying to stay calm despite the storm brewing in him. "But I'm here for you, if you want to talk. I just… don't understand why you've been so angry all day."
"Of course, you don't understand." Kuroo laughed bitterly, running a hand through his hair, his fingers trembling. "You don't get it. No one does."
He turned away from you again, his back tense, his breaths coming out in ragged bursts. He was losing control, and you could see it happening right in front of you, but you didn't know how to reach him.
"Tetsu…" you started, but he cut you off, his voice rising, his frustration pouring out now, unchecked.
"I'm tired, okay? I'm exhausted. Of everything. Of pretending like I'm fine when I'm not. Of trying to keep everything together for everyone else when it's all falling apart for me." His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his entire body rigid with tension. "I don't get to fall apart. I'm Kuroo—the guy who always has a joke, who always knows what to say. I'm supposed to be one who fixes things, not the one who—" His voice cracked, the frustration giving way to something you hadn't seen from him, something vulnerable. "Not the one who falls apart… it's not your problem. Alright?"
"It's my problem if it's affecting you," you replied softly, trying to keep your voice steady. "You don't have to do this alone."
Kuroo looked at you, his eyes tired. He laughed, but it came out more like a broken sob this time. "I don't even know how to explain it. I don't know how to not be fine."
You watched him, your heart sinking as you realized what was happening. He was deflecting, trying to laugh his way through the pain, like he always did when things got too hard. It was his way of keeping people at arm's length, of avoiding the real conversation that needed to happen. But this time, the cracks of his façade were too big to ignore.
"Tetsuro," you said gently, stepping in front of him, "you don't have to laugh it off. It's okay if you're angry."
He froze, his eyes darting away from yours, the tension in his body so thick you could feel it radiating off him. For a moment, he said nothing, his sharp jaw clenching as he fought to keep his emotions in check. Then, with a forced smile, he let out another weak chuckle. "I'm not angry," he said, though his voice wavered, betraying him. "I'm just… stressed. That's all."
But you didn't back down this time. "You are angry," you quietly said, your voice firm but gentle. "And that's okay. You don't have to pretend everything's fine when it's not."
His eyes flicked back to yours, and for a split second, you saw it—the fear, the vulnerability he was trying so desperately to hide. Then, like a dam breaking, his forced laughter faded into something darker, something raw.
"Fine," he snapped, his voice rising again as he threw his hands in the air, finally letting some of the anger slip through. "You want me to admit it? I'm angry. I'm pissed off. About everything. Work, life—everything’s a fucking mess right now, and I don't know how to fix it."
The words came out fast, like they had been building for days, maybe even weeks. His chest heaved with the weight of it all, his eyes burning with intensity from the frustration. "I've been trying to keep it together, trying to be the guy who can handle everything, but I can't. And now I'm taking it out on you because I don't know what the hell else to do."
He laughed again, but this time it was sharp, bitter, filled with self-loathing. "So yeah, I'm angry. Happy now?"
You stood there, letting his words hang in the air, the anger swirling around you both like a storm. But instead of pushing back or getting defensive, you just nodded, keeping your gaze steady on his. "I'm glad you told me," you said softly. "but you don't have to keep punishing yourself for feeling this way, Tetsu."
He blinked, the harshness in his expression faltering for a moment as he stared at you, as if he couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. "What?"
"You're allowed to be angry," you continued, stepping closer to him again. "You're allowed to feel everything you're feeling. You don't have to keep laughing it off, Tetsu. It's okay if something is bothering you."
For a moment, Kuroo just stood there, staring at you in disbelief, his chest still rising and falling with uneven breaths. Then, slowly, the tension began to seep out of him, his shoulders sagging as the weight of everything he had been holding onto finally started to come crashing down.
His lips trembled, and when he tried to laugh again, it came out more like a sob. "I don't know how to do this," he whispered, his voice breaking as his hands came up to cover his face. "I don't know how to not be okay."
You didn't hesitate this time. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into your chest, and just like before, he resisted for a second, his body stiff and trembling. But then, he gave in, collapsing against you as the laughter gave way to tears. His arms wrapped around you tightly, his grip almost desperate as if he was afraid to let go.
"I'm sorry," he choked out between sobs, his face buried in your shoulder. "I'm so sorry for being an asshole—for everything."
You shook your head, pulling him closer until his forehead rested against yours. "You're not an asshole," you murmured, brushing your thumb against the back of his hand. "You're just human. And it's okay to not have it all figured out."
He cried against you for what felt like forever, his emotions pouring out of him in waves, his body shaking with the force of it all. You held him through it, not saying a word, just letting him feel everything he needed to feel.
When the sobs finally began to subside, Kuroo pulled back slightly, his face flushed and tear-streaked, his breath coming out in shaky bursts. He wiped at his eyes, a tired broken smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "I must look like a mess right now."
You smiled softly, brushing a stray tear from his cheek. "You look like someone who finally let themselves feel what they needed to."
Kuroo let out another shaky breath, leaning his forehead against yours as he closed his eyes, the exhaustion clear in every line of his face. "I'm sorry," he whispered again, his voice hoarse but softer this time. "For taking it out on you. For everything."
"You don't have to apologize," you replied, your fingers gently tracing patterns on his back. He didn't say anything for a long moment, just stood there, holding you close as he let the last of his defenses crumble. And in that quiet, fragile moment, you knew that this—letting him break, letting him be vulnerable—was the most honest he had ever been with you.
"Thank you," he whispered finally, giving you a tighter squeeze. "For not giving up on me."
You pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, your heart swelling with affection for the man who had always tried so hard to be everyone else's rock. "You never have to do this alone," you whispered back. He stared at you for a moment, as if he couldn't quite believe that you were still here, that you hadn't turned your back on him after today. Then, with a small broken smile, he leaned forward and pressed his forehead to yours again. For the first time that day, Kuroo didn't try to laugh it off. He just held you tighter finally letting himself believe that it was okay to not be okay.
