Knells and Throes II
[prev]
"Yeah. I was there. I wish I could have been the one to end her. But, I'll take the consolation prize of getting everyone to safety." Tezz had fully slumped into Blunt, too exhausted to keep himself upright. "I'm sorry I couldn't get them into one spot, or at least closer together. A portal that large and summoned that quickly is hard to keep stable. But they had a better chance of surviving up here." The two of them sat a few moments in silence. Blunt's mind raced, unable to know for sure if this man would survive another night. He kept looking him over, trying to see if there was anything he could do. The soft, warm glow of the lantern flickered across the pair. Creatures of the night awoke and stirred around them.
Tezz's mind was preoccupied. There was so much he wished he could say right now, just in case he couldn't do it himself. No. I can't think like that. Not yet.
"Blunt?" Tezz's crackling voice broke the silence. "My eyes are getting heavy. Do you think you could carry me back, so I get a little rest?"

"In my moments of lucidity, I always hoped that they were alive and able to move on. Gods, it's been too long, I don't think they need to see me like this." Tezz gestured with his hand towards himself. The low light made it difficult to see the ruptured veins and bruises covering him. For a little while, to Blunt, Tezz almost looked normal.
His head slowly sank into Blunt's arms as he spoke, "I wouldn't call where I was, and what I was doin', being alive." Tezz's face turned sour, "I wasn't myself until a few days ago. Imprisoned in my own fucking mind to that.." he paused to search for an insult vile enough. "To her."
Knells and Throes
The setting sun painted the marshy plains surrounding, what was until recently, High Central with amber, gold, and pink hues. This closing of the fourth day since the fall of the Tyrant Eternal left the search and rescue teams of the rebellion to find fewer and fewer of the scattered survivors. A ragged gasp and a sputtering cough came from beneath the shelter of a lonely mangrove cluster. The body that produced it belonged to a broken, nearly spent Tezz as he awoke from a comatose state. Pain, echoing from his mind through to his very marrow, wracked his body. The effort of transporting every living person he could sense in High Central to safety caught up to him in his lucid state. He dwelled in this state for several minutes, slowly willing his aching body to move and sit up from the muck. With his hand he was able to grasp the nearby roots and pull himself mostly from the water. He heard the distant sloshing of someone in the area and looked to the encroaching darkness of dusk. Tezz attempted to summon a voice from his damaged lungs to call out, and like sparks on wet logs he could produce nothing but more coughs. Catching his breath again he sighed and leaned back against the tree, he hoped it was enough.

Tezz shakily took the offered canteen. He drank greedily, almost spilling more than he consumed. With a few deep breaths, he finally stilled his cough. He propped himself up, with help from Blunt, and leaned into the man.
Tezz's eyes wandered up, watching the first few bright stars peak out, the last orange and pink rays of the sun passing into night. His gaze drifted down, coming to rest on Blunt.
"You look good, Blunt." Tezz allowed himself a small smile. "Who kicked your ass into shape?"

Tezz let out another cough before a soft, "Aye, friend." Looking over Tezz, Blunt could assess the state of the man before him. His body was covered in mud and bruises, the vessels in his eyes had burst, and blood had caked draining from every part of his face. Between the labored breathing and his unfocusing eyes, Blunt could sense Tezz was teetering on death's doorstep. "You have any food?" An ache and a growl came from Tezz's stomach, followed by a stifled cough. "Or, maybe just a drink."

"No." And then he whips his cock out.
Desecration [pt 5]
[previous]
Water roared in Vox's ears in a low rumble, bubbles rushing past him, and then he was quite literally thrown up out of the surface, dripping freezing water across the shore of one of the bodies of water in the cavern. He only had a moment to gasp for air and get to a knee before ice solidified around his calf, sharp points piercing his skin, bringing him back down to the ground. He rolled to the side to barely avoid another heavy spike hitting the ground, and by doing so, he saw a horrifyingly familiar figure running up out of the water, a stream of water flooding in behind him, eyes glowing silver.

Tezzeret remained floating several inches off of the ground. Minute twitches danced along his arms, cascading through the rest of his body. Inside his mind a battle raged, glimmers of hope and his old home brought a new energy to a man locked inside his own mind. The water in the room began to shudder and dance along the ground as the struggle intensified "~rrrraaa̸̢̬͋ą̴̡̗̈h̶͕̓͝ḩ̶̰̅ḧ̵̫̭́͂h̸̬͓͌̅h̸̲̾H̵͉̆͘H̵͈̜͊̌́Ḥ̵̢͋̊̽H̴̭̜͠!!!" Tezz let loose a guttural roar and he fell into a crouch, his fists clenched. The hand made of ice began to lose form, melting and disfiguring.
He shakily lifted his head looking at the crowd before allowing his gaze to fall on Akkey. Tezz's voice came through, soft but lucid, "Akkey, are they safe, are they alive?" A shudder washed over him and his composure nearly fell. He croaked out three names. "Clover, Treepelt, Melira."

"I'd catch you falling from any tr- C̢͕̹͉̣̠̠̩A̵̠̳̜̗̪L̖̠̹Ḽ͎̺I̱͙̭̝͈̤̝NG͓̮̹̮͙̰̙." The shadows flared from beneath the eldritch crown placed on Tezz's head. The water in the room lifted into the air like the gravity of the world had stopped effecting it.
"E̙̰̘̼̪̘͠C̠͎̥̫͍͕͖H̯͘O̮̟͇͚̝̩I̻͜N̪̙͚G̰̩." The hovering water shaped itself into thousands of needles, solidifying and surrounding the party. The black, acrid smoke poured over Tezz and fell to the floor. He began hovering several inches off the ground, his arms outstretched to his sides he made a wide sweeping motion with his arms before snapping them forward. The needles of ice followed suit, descending into the group before him.

Tezz's eyes flashed to the approaching guard and in an instant his mouth was filled with water being pulled from the surrounding air. Tezz clenched his fist and the water froze solid, expanding, shattering the guards jaw before exploding into his skull.
"P͂̓e̡a͗ͣ͌ç̍̽̋̈ͬeͬ̒ͩ comes ŗ̳̠a̯͈̥̫̟̫į̪̝̥̝n̴̲ing down like d̰̞͙͓̹̳͇e̻͔͓̫̳ạ̙̺̯d̢̩͓y hail." Tezz looked pointedly at Akkey as he spoke. "She dug me out from the deep corners of the mind of the one who shares our body."

"C͞a̢ll̢i͢n̨g͘.͘ ̷Echoin̴g͠. Ca̛l̶l̸in̛g̸.͠..̴" A disheveled human form stepped into the room through the only visible connecting doorway, a polished steel door slammed and latched shut behind him. "Ec͟h̕oi͡ng̶...̀" his voice raspy with the wear of hundreds of waking hours of use. Adorned with a ragged, stained gown, a series of tubes ran up his arms and connected to a mechanical crown and ran back down his spine through the gown. Shadows coalesced, dripping like heavy smoke from beneath the crown and masked his eyes, which glowed with a soft grey light. His left hand was made entirely of ice, with inhumanely long, dagger-like fingers.
He stumbled further into the room and looked as though he was carrying a heavy weight with him at all times. His croaking voice came through once more, reverberating off of the sterile marble surrounding. "It̷'s blue l̸i̡g͝ht ̵o͜ver ͝mur͡d́e̛r̵.͞.."

Tezz cocked his head to the side, Akkey's familiar voice lapped against the walls of his conscience. He shook his head, mechanical pieces groaning in the crown as he tried to shake off the now alien feeling of familiarity, home. A nearly unintelligible cacophony of voices rang out in response after he steadied himself again. "(He/we/I/they) (are/is/will/have) not(be/never) here, T̷͙̥̠̫̜e̛̻̤̱z̥z̩̩͎e̛̬r̝͇͖̦̯̞͟e͏̩̻t̵̗̪, (we/I/he) (buried/destroyed/drowned/suffocated) (him/them/us) in the d̛̤̮͓̘e̮e̞p̱̘."
Tezzeret clenched his fist, the ice cracking and reforming under the strain. The voices fell away before his original croaking, cracked voice echoed out once more. "Wash away the blood on my hands." He began his stumbling march closer to the party once more.

get to know me meme ★ 9/10 current celebrities crushes ❥ jake gyllenhaal
Chris Cooper once told me to never have any regrets. After Chris said that to me, I walk into every scene thinking, ‘exhaust every possibility.’ Once you get to a certain place, it’s like you just deliver everything you’ve got. Don’t have any regrets. It pops up in my mind over and over and over again.

She shook her head, clearing the nostalgia. “Hrlj l nb ilmg’sr zeg rna..”[Then we will search for him.]
She gave him a faint smile and beckoned for her landwyrm.
I can make a good guess where Nyctyph was heading.
Lineage [pt 2]

The demon relaxed its stance, nudging the woman’s hand, and a deep hum permeated the air. Rw i’ch vg’eq aeh…Nyctyph, iur ny’d. Aeh…py’w ynbr. My brother Nyctyph watches me, he went away. I miss him. He made a dejected sound, slowly plopping down on his bottom with his tail sticking out between his legs. His mind spread outwards, nudging against various other consciousnesses, looking for the familiar colors of his brother’s essence. The people watched fearfully from the fringes of the village, still expecting Zol to be gobbled up by the monster.

Zol reached forward even more and ran a hand along the skull. Her voice caught in her throat as a faint trickling of familiarity ran through her. Her irises flashed purple.
Lineage pt. 1
“Nyarlathotep blast it.” Zol uttered a curse upon her carriage the world hadn’t heard for a few thousand years. The axle of her carriage had sheared in half on the road as she was in pursuit of her quarry. A member of the family she was chasing was growing closer with each town she passed through, the memory of them fresher in each town and village.
But this could put her days behind, and she couldn’t leave her provisions behind. There was a wealth of oddities and treasures tucked away that would be scavenged the moment she left. All she could do was await the arrival of more travelers.

If I’m right...
Zole dismounted from her landwyrm and began walking closer to the source of the conundrum.
...Then the saying “the apple does not fall far from the tree,” really applies here.
She quietly mused to herself as she sidestepped debris flying by every so often.
