Did pixel art of the game system part for my upgraded VTuber model. Came out pretty good, I think.

Got one of two VHS tapes for next month's public domain horror watch-a-long streams! Now I'm waiting on a Blockbuster Classics version of Night of the Living Dead to come in!

Working on the design for my upgraded VTuber model. Iried to focus on the spirit energy part of it this time and came out with two different takes.

The one of the left is a take on the flames that my current model uses, this time wrapping around the game system and is a bit more stylized. It's a bit too busy and distracting, I think, which is a problem I feel plagues my current model.

I'm starting to really like the version on the right, though! You can tell a spiritual power of some kind is moving the game system and gloves. Very simple, has a cool neon glow and keeps the teal-blue to the orange of the system. I might implement a very subtle swirling energy effect like something you'd see in the OG Fist of the North Star anime.

Things are slowly coming together and I might take one more shot at the character inside the screen. I'm still debating whether or not if I want to rig the model myself or commission someone to do it for me next year in order to get more out of it since I only have a very rough, surface-level understanding of Live2D. I might even look into commissioning someone to do a proper pixel art version of this once I finalize the design!

I streamed Castlevania (NES) today, had a ton of fun even though I might develop carpal tunnel after that final boss. lol

Richter Belmont, one of the main character's from one of my absolute favorite games, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood! I might make this a fully animated picture later on but I just really like how he came out!

Work is going slow and steady on my VTuber model upgrade. I decided to keep the overall shape of the original game system but changed some things around to make it a bit more bootleg-ish.

I'm still working on the gloves and ghost energy. I want to make it look like the spirit energy is coming out of the back of the system and into the gloves to make it look like the system itself is alive. I've had people ask why my model was in a Gameboy and I hope this fixes that misconception.

Gonna start up a playthrough of Mega Man Legends this Monday, August 14th at 4PM EST on my Twitch channel at Twitch.TV/TGoRetro! I will be playing the game via my childhood PS1 disc on PS3!

Tokusatsu SNES stream cancelled

Hey guys, I gotta cancel the Tokusatsu SNES stream. Some stuff has come up and I won't have enough time to properly stream. Sorry about this! I'll switch out the Gremlins 2/DuckTales stream for this next Thursday!

Week of July 30th, 2023: - Tokusatsu Time! Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Ultraman and Power Rangers SNES games! - Popful Mail playthrough part 2!

Week of August 6th, 2023: - Doom wrap up + Sigil campaign! - Gremlins 2 (hopefully) wrap up + DuckTales fanmade SNES port! NOTE: Game audio will be turned off for DuckTales in order to avoid VOD getting muted, sorry!

- Dragon Ball SNES games! The RPGs & the fighters!
