Spidops being able to hang upside-down using its thread evokes the trope of secret agents using cables to hang from ceilings, although it is also a behavior showcased by real-life spiders.

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, there is an Easter egg findable in Rustboro City, involving the Ace Trainer who gives the player a Float Stone. After giving it to the player, he will explain its effect of halving the holder's weight. If the player then leaves and re-enters the floor, the Ace Trainer has turned into a Hiker, who tells that he has put on a lot of weight recently for some reason.

Due to a quirk in the spawning mechanics, when it is day, Flutter Mane will spawn and despawn so rapidly that they will not appear visible to the player at all, unless the player is in a Union Circle session, in which case they will appear briefly. However, this behavior does not apply to Shiny Flutter Mane, due to the mechanic despawning them being coded to make Shiny Pokémon immune to being despawned by certain mechanics, (such as weather blowing certain species of Pokémon away), nor does it apply during night.

Outside of trading or events, Wynaut is the only Generation III Pokémon that can be obtained in FireRed. This is the sole instance in the core series where only one Pokémon from a particular generation can be obtained in a game.

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Shiinotic is defined internally as a Mythical Pokémon instead of Marshadow. This is likely due to a typo between their internal names, with マシェード Mashēdo (Shiinotic) being mistaken for マーシャドー Māshadō (Marshadow).

[Todd Snap] had two separate names in the English-language dub. He is known as Todd in the Kids' WB!, Cartoon Network, and Pokémon TV versions and Snap in the DVD/VHS version. When Pokémon.com announced that the episodes featuring him would air on Toonami Jetstream to celebrate the release of Pokémon Snap on Virtual Console in December 2007, they remedied the conflict by making Snap his surname.
