Bradley was made for this role because that’s the most Arthur thing to think

Arthur Pendragon was trained to lead, to fight, and to obey — the son of King Uther, raised to hate magic and rule with an iron fist. But at the age of fourteen, a miracle changed everything. To survive the countless attempts on his life, Arthur was granted an ancient and forbidden power: luck, creation, and disguise.
Now, hidden behind a red armor with black spots and a cloak that conceals his identity, he becomes Lordbug, the silent guardian of Camelot. No enemy recognizes him, no ally suspects. While everyone sees a disciplined prince, loyal to the throne, few know of the masked warrior who saves the kingdom night after night.
But Arthur lives in conflict: over time, he begins to realize that the magic he was taught to destroy might be what’s keeping Camelot standing. And everything changes when he crosses paths with the mysterious Cat, a protector of sorcerers whose eyes see far more than the armor dares to hide...

Arthur: You can’t just go around adopting every dragon you find!
Merlin: Says the man with the largest sword collection in the entire kingdom.
Arthur: Swords are useful!
Merlin: And dragons aren’t?

So I started watching the bbc show Merlin about a month ago and I only have three episodes left so I went “I wanna check out the fandom :> there’s only three episodes left I’m sure I can weed out the spoilers :>”
I was then shot 57 times.

Since Arthur can't decide on a wife, he decides to draw names from a hat.
The knights, thinking they are funny, throw Merlin's name into the hat.
Arthur draws Merlin's name four times in a row.

I need an immortal Merlin crossover fic set in the bbc Musketeers universe.
Preferably Mercelot (or Merlin/Aramis?) but I’m not picky.

Arthur, trying not to lose his mind: Guinevere, my love, light of my life, have you seen-
Gwen, too used to this: our husbands are on a date.
Arthur, accepting that Merlin and Lancelot are probably dealing with something magical in nature: Okay, at least he’s not at the tavern.
Arthur, realising what Gwen just said: I’m sorry, our what? And which one is my husband?
Gwen: *raises an eyebrow*

I’m rewatching Merlin again and I just love how Lancelot seems sensible but is actually bat shit insane.
He’s got his morals, obviously, but he’s also just as chaotic as Gwaine and Merlin in his own way.
Like, a day after meeting Merlin he committed identity fraud.
Then he found out Merlin had magic and immediately decided keeping it secret would be more fun than turning him over, which would’ve gotten him the knighthood that he’d been dreaming of his entire life. Really love that he’s not a class traitor there.
Then he rode off into the sunset, cape billowing like a dramatic ass theatre kid turned DnD player with a leaf blower (talking from experience on that one)
Then he joined a fight club
Was fully prepared to sacrifice himself for Gwen with a hero’s death
Then left for some personal growth, which was fair enough but I’m kinda disappointed we didn’t get to see more of his character development. That’s what headcanons and fics are for though.
But then in Camelot, after getting his knighthood, he constantly encouraged Merlin to use his magic - with his “I’m sure a man of your talents can think of something” like they weren’t in a busy hallway where anyone could’ve seen - and casually fell in love with seeing magic used freely. The look in his eyes whenever he sees Merlin using magic is just soft, I don’t know how else to explain it. (Take that in whatever context you want it, I’m a sucker for Mercelot but romantic or platonic doesn’t matter to me.)
And THEN! Merlin survived the Dorocha and he tried to prank the king, someone secretly but not so secretly in love with Merlin, with his “Bad news, he survived.” Thing.
There’s definitely more, but I just love how chaotic Lance is and how much he got away with because his reputation as the noblest knight gave him a lot of freedom to do dumb stuff and then bat his eyes all pretty to get out of trouble.

In Pride month, I think it's important to remind you of this iconic dialogue. You don't have to talk about who you are if you don't want to❤️
