Scarred Beauty - Calleigh Duquesne/Marisol Delko
A/N: Written for @febuwhump .
“That’s gonna scar…”
Marisol’s voice is gentle even as she cleans the cut a second time. Calleigh winces and Marisol sighs softly, gently wrapping the bandage over her shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to Calleigh’s cheek before taping the bandage down, noting the way Calleigh flinches, her voice soft.
“Sorry.”
“Not your fault.”
Calleigh sounds exhausted and Marisol takes a moment to look her over, the way Calleigh almost sags into herself.
“Get some rest Calleigh, I’m right here.”
Calleigh shakes her head at first, then follows her to the sofa, settling so her head is in Marisol’s lap, her eyes closing at Marisol’s light touch through her hair. She’s safe here, like this.

All I’m saying is that Don Eppes clearly had an aptitude for music that probably could have been on par with Charlie’s mathematical ability and instead of digging into the fact that 1) Don apparently never forgot how to read music or play piano despite supposedly only taking lessons as a child and 2) saw a motherfucking musical scale in a pattern of bombs on a bridge that proved to be a super important clue for their ongoing case— a case which, I might add, relied on the idea that a former Cold War spy dug deep enough into the Eppes brothers’ background that he could personalize all of his clues for their specific knowledge and skillsets.
Don was a genius, too. He just didn’t develop it the way Charlie did.

It’s a crying shame that we never had an actual Monk/Psych crossover.
I can just imagine Shawn and Monk driving each other insane and getting competitive over who can solve the case first, Natalie and Gus commiserating over the frustrations of babysitting their respective overgrown children (and Gus potentially trying to flirt and getting shut down), Lassiter being quietly contemptuous of Randy’s stupidity, Henry and Stottlemeyer trading stories and going fishing together…the list goes on.
