“I want to go on T, but what if it makes me ugly”
what if it does? Time marches on, it’s not gonna spare you. You’ll grow old, you’ll become ugly, you’ll die. And I won’t let you die in a body that isn’t yours just because the world beat you down and made you prioritize the surface level attractions of people who don’t respect you over your own happiness. Take the shot, become ‘ugly’, I’ll still fucking love you, man.

I look a lot different from when I was a kid but one thing that has stayed the same through the years is that I will wear a cool jacket
#Had a small collection of aeropostal zip ups when I was in middle school and that was the brand to wear if you were a prep#Except i wasn't a prep i was a nerd who wore nerd t shirts and a nerdy animal hat to school every day#And then I learned how to actually build a wardrobe in highschool#But that was also a time i was deeply closeted and using hyper-femininity as a mask to hide myself from myself#and hopped on fast fashion trends in an effort to feel something#So i dont really like to think about that time#She was cool though and she would like the vintage bomber jacket I thrifted today

Graham Linehan got arrested for inciting violence against trans women. About time the old hack got arrested. It's as shame he got out on bail, but he's due for court next Thursday.

"men don't need to be afraid walking around at night"
Unless they're black
"men make more than women in jobs"
Black men make less than white women on average
"men don't get followed around by people who mean them harm"
Black men are heavily policed and regularly jumped and killed for just walking down the street
"no one tells a man what he can and cannot do with his own body"
Black men are repeatedly assaulted and have their hair forcibly shaved or cut for wearing their hair natural and in culturally important styles. Black men who choose body modifications like tattoos or piercings are branded as thugs. Black men who have children and black men who don't have children are both regarded as players, hounddogs, absent fathers, and baby daddies, as if the logical answer is that no one's first choice of partner and father of their children would ever be a black man.
"no one judges a man's worth based on his clothes"/"a man isn't ever in danger no matter what he wears"
Black men are required to look presentable and professional according to eurocentric standards, push themselves into clothes not made for their bodies, and be highly uncomfortable in their daily lives or else risk 'fitting the profile' or 'matching the description' and getting detained by police AT BEST for the crime of existing in public. Black men wearing comfortable clothes are seen as sloppy, thugs, gangsters, street rats, hood and ghetto.
"no man fears rape"
The rape and sexual assault of black men ties directly to black buck stereotypes and black fetishization to the point where liking a black person or having your dating pool be open to black people is treated like a sexuality much like being gay. People are both threatened by and aroused by our bodies and that leads them to perform extreme acts of violence on us, including rape, SA, coercion, trafficking, and more. Much like how "tranny" and "lesbian" is a porn category, so is Big Black Cock. Sometimes with us featured as the rapist. Sometimes with us featured as the victim. Almost never with us featured as intimate, passionate, loving, tender. Black men are either to be feared and reviled, or to be broken and forced to submit. Direct ties to slavery with white people still getting off to our suffering.
Just say you don't care as much about black people's suffering and go, jesus.
I have privilege because I sometimes pass as a man? Try walking in my shoes for a while. Turns out being a black man vs being a black woman isn't always so different.
#Where's that zine made by Alok about how historically only white people were (still are) allowed to have gender#and gender as a system of white supremacy has been used to determine who is and who is not human#hence why the Woman as an Adult Human Female definition is so fucking problematic#Anyway read White Tears Brown Scars

the thing that’s really cool about dungeon meshi’s representation of autism is that Laios isn’t some savant. He’s just a guy with a strong interest. And he gets things wrong because that interest leads him to uncritically consuming biased sources

i feel like "feminist" anti-kink sentiment is very tail-wagging-the-dog. like male doms playing out bdsm scenes of abuse are not oppressing their female subs that's acting. you're mad at acting. you're those aliens from galaxy quest. same with fearmongering about "booktok". however an eroticized version of patriarchal dynamics being a popular kink DOES speak to the pervasiveness of sexism, bc eroticizing the oppression is a way of coping with living under it. it's women creating a fantasy world where men being menacing to them is sexy and not scary like it is irl, or where it is still scary but in the fun way like a horror movie bc you can tap out at any time by using a safe word or putting the book down. acting like this sort of kink is oppressing women is like if you assumed the thermometer controlled the weather outside. it might be depressing to look at the thermometer and see the impact of climate change, but it's not the thermometer's fault
#Kinks are a response to our environment and experiences not the other way around#Certainly its not neccessarily healthy to reenact harmful patriarical stuff#but its hard to imagine that we could have gotten as far as we have with womens rights if we still had the hays code#and other restrictive “obscenity” laws and policies still around#Putting the horse before the cart ect ect
