okay so it’s been 2 years since I’ve written stuff?? like I’m genuinely so sorry. but here’s the dealio. i know this is a popular excuse but it’s very valid: school is kicking my butt. and it’s making me sad. I’m trying my best (especially right now because it’s closer to senior year) to get my gpa as high as it can go before everything starts back up.

here’s some good news. since everyone is on quarantine, I’ve got tons of time. and i promise I’ll answer as many drafts as I can as quickly as I can. A Letter to You ~ Sodapop Curtis Imagine

Dear Y/N,

So, it’s been a while, huh? How have you been? Is the gang good? How are Darry and Ponyboy? I hope they’re good.

It’s strange here. It’s a lot different from back home. I wish I could go back now but I can’t. Steve is fine as well. He’s feeling about the same as me, just wanting to come home. I miss you so much. I wish I could come back and hug you and never let go. I want to see you all again. I miss everyone so much.

I hate it here, to be honest with you. I absolutely hate it. Every night, I can’t sleep. All I hear are gunshots and someone screaming. I want to help them, I really do, but I can’t. Our orders are to stay put. I hate seeing everything so messed up and wrecked.

I don’t know if I’ll make it home. Things are starting to get rough over here. Steve and I have come very close to being shot a few times, but we just barely avoided it. I’m trying my damnedest to make it through this, babydoll, I swear it. I’m trying to get through this for everyone back home. I want to be able to see the end of this war. I want to be able to go home.

But like I said before, I may not make it back. If I don’t, Y/N, I want you to know this. I love you with all of my heart and soul. I would do absolutely anything for you, baby. I wish that I wouldn’t have to tell you all this through a letter, but that’s the way it is right now. I want to tell you face to face, everyday of my life.

I hope you know that everyday this war comes closer to its end. I know that, too, but it’s becoming harder to realize. So many people have died, Y/N. Those people that got killed, they had lives, too. They had families that they were fighting for. They had lovers they wanted to go home to. The sad part is, now, they’ll never get to see them again. Their families will never get to see them again. I am so afraid that that’s what’ll happen to me. I don’t want that to happen.

But baby, please stay strong for me. Stay strong until I come back. If you are strong, I'll be strong, too. Please remember, (Y/N), that I love you with all of my heart. I'll love you until the day I die.

It happened again. You and Two-Bit were fighting again. This seemed like the normal thing now. Good moments with Two seemed like they were few and far between. It seemed like you two were fighting more often than not.

Tonight, the fight was worse. It was getting heated more quickly than it ever had before. Hurtful things were being said back and forth and you couldn’t take it anymore.

Two looked at you dead in the eye and screamed, “Maybe if you weren’t so stubborn and you actually listened to me, we wouldn’t be where we are!”

You immediately clapped back with, “You know, I don’t have to listen to you! You’re not the person who can control my life whenever they please! It’s my life, not yours!”

“I know that it’s not my life, (Y/N)! I’m not an idiot! All I was saying is that if you wouldn’t make some dumb decisions, we wouldn’t be standing here yelling!”

“I’m always the one who gets blamed! You never take the blame, even when it’s your fault!”

You could see Two’s face getting more red as the argument went on. Whenever his face got red like that, it was about to be bad.

“You know what,” you threw your hands up in the air, “if you don’t like my decisions then you can get out of my house! It was my choice to say yes when you asked me out, so obviously you’re telling me that it was just a dumb decision to say that, too! If you can’t realize that all this isn’t just my fault, then you can leave!”

“Come on! You’re overreacting!”

“No, I’m not! Now either you get out of my house, or I’m leaving you!” You slammed your hand on the table next to you. Tears started to fill your eyes and the lump in your throat became almost unbearable.

Two looked down and realized what he had said. He finally realized that it wasn’t your fault entirely. He realized that he had done this, too. He realized that he had made you feel this way and he hated himself for it. He hated seeing you almost burst into tears because of him.

“Get. Out. Of. My. House!”

He just stood there, looking like a lost puppy. He didn’t know what to do.

“Fine. It’s over. I can’t take this anymore, Two!” You pushed past him and walked out your door, heading to your 1957 Chevrolet Pickup Truck. You planned on driving away and allowing yourself to blow off some steam.

You opened the driver side door and started to get in. But before you could sit down you heard a voice behind you say, “(Y/N), wait.”

You didn’t turn around, but you just stood there. You wanted to know what he had to say.

“I was wrong. It wasn’t right for me to treat you like this. I shouldn’t have.”

You sat down in your truck and closed the door. You had the keys in hand, ready to start the engine and leave.

“Please… Don’t leave me here. Don’t leave me alone, without you.”

You banged your hand on the steering wheel, starting to cry. “Dammit, Two! Why do you always do this?!”

You sat in the car and began to sob. You wanted to leave so badly, but something was pulling you back to him.

You didn’t know what to do.

How the gang would react to having a deaf sister?

honestly, the gang would a lot of the time get frustrated with themselves bc they don’t really know how to handle having a deaf sister. they would love her more than anything and they would do anything to help her. they wouldn’t know how to speak sign language, so they would try to learn.

really, i think the reaction would be okay, but there would be much frustration involved.

Now, you and Curly has been dating for around 6 months or so. You had learned Curly and his ways over time and you learned how his mind worked. He opened up to you fairly quickly, considering the fact that he never trusted people right off.

But today was just a gloomy, rainy day in Tulsa. You were sitting on the couch next to Curly. His hand rested on your leg as you both watched TV.

The rain had progressively gotten worse and it was developing into a storm. You heard the drops of rain hit your window and the rooftop. The sound of rain was soothing to you, but you never understood why.

Suddenly, the power shut off. The only source of light that was in the house was the faint light of the sun through the clouds. The house had became darker, so you went to the kitchen and grabbed a box of matches. You walked back into the living room and lit a candle.

You sat back down next to Curly and just waited for a conversation to start. It was slightly awkward until you finally heard him speak up.

“So…” he said running his hand through his hair.

“Yeah,” you replied, not knowing how to respond.

“Um, let’s talk ‘bout something. Just to break the silence.”

“Okay, well, what do you want to talk about?”

“Do ya care if we talk ‘bout our relationship?”

“No, not at all. Are you breaking up with me?”

“Oh God, no. I’d never. I just kinda wanted to talk about how things are going with it.”

“Alright then. What do ya wanna say, Curly?” You we’re confused because you didn’t know what he was trying to get at. He hadn’t acted like this before.

“Well, I wanted to say that I am happy we got together.”

“Is Curly Shepard becoming a softie?” You giggled.

“Shut up or I’ll skin you.”

“Alright then. Continue.”

“I just wanted to say I love you.”

You were sitting there and your eyes got wide. He hadn’t really been one to be affectionate. He wasn’t good with words, and that was becoming more evident as time went on. But he actually told you that he loved you. To say the least, you were shocked.

“I-I don’t know what to say, Curly. You really love me?”

His face turned red as he looked down, “Yeah, I guess so.”

“You know what?”

“What?” HE said as he put his hand in the back of his neck.

“I love you, too.”
