Let's have a chat

So apparently, the word in the kpop streets is that Lee Minhyuk of MONSTA X has a girlfriend. And has been in a relationship with her since 2019. If that's true, that's amazing!

The problem is that we seem to have a real life ThamePo problem because of this now. First of all, some weirdo took their time to gather up all their evidence to do a full on exposé of Minhyuk and his girlfriend. And now some folks are mad about it. Why? Not because he has a girlfriend (though I know that's a lie) but because some "fans" feel like he should be working instead of gallivanting with some "woman." They feel like if they're spending money on him and his group then he should be focusing all his time on the fans and working.

Bitch what? That's a grown ass man who is entitled to his personal life alongside his professional life. And these people sound stupid as fuck if they feel like they're entitled to that man's personal time as well as his professional time. And that's a weak ass excuse to cover for these people being upset that he is in a relationship. It was never going to be y'all. Now people are threatening to unstan because they're upset about whatever.

Minhyuk doesn't owe anyone an explanation for anything regarding his girlfriend. And IDK if these people really know Lee Minhyuk, but he is not shy about telling fans to chill the fuck out and stay out of his business. He's done it before.

The bottom line is that whether it's true or not, Minhyuk is allowed to have a personal life and he's allowed to be in love and he's allowed to have personal relationships. He doesn't need to share anything personal with the world if he doesn't want to.

What's not allowed is people being pissed off about it. Like I said, Minhyuk is 31 years old, it is perfectly okay for him to be seeing someone if he fucking wants to. And it is perfectly okay for him not to disclose anything about that to fans.

And as far as work goes??????????????????????? Please don't act like MONSTA X doesn't have a full 10 year Anniversary Celebration planned for Monbebe. And even if they didn't, don't act like y'all know that man and what he's spending his time on. Relax.

Like I said, all this girlfriend business is alleged. Nothing has been confirmed or denied. Some sasaengs just have way too much time on their hands and don't know how to mind their own business.

And if I find out y'all are shit-talking my boy over this I will be addressing you directly.

I would like it known that I spent a good chunk of my night (last night) and afternoon (today) reading this fic and I am EMOTIONAL.

Now that its finished I wanted to hype up this amazing fic by @waltwhitmansbeard​. I found it an excelent portrayal of Keyleth’s grief (through a post canon divergent lense). It was so sad but also felt so real, and I loved seeing her journey of healing. I imagine that chapter one (up to the point of canon divergence) was a lot like what Keyleth’s experence would have been. I felt the characterisation was very good and accurate to the source material. Its a very well written story and I highly recomend it <3

Listening to the Matron talk about the previous god of death cements for me the idea that Vax was always meant to have more time before she made good on their deal. She didn't mean for him to know the same eternal separation and grief she had taken upon herself - that she had chosen with eyes wide open. He was supposed to have time and happiness with Keyleth. Maybe even time beyond a natural lifespan, though that's probably pushing it a little. To the max of said lifespan at the very least. She didn't want for him - or for keyleth - what she had been through, but her hand was forced, and the only way to give him back in any capacity was to take away what should have been. His fate was to become her champion, yes, but there was time to live first. That fate was changed as a gift. It was all she could allow as the keeper of her domain and arguably, her mortality is what led her to give it at all.

Yes. She hears the sounds of grief and loss unending, unceasing. Death is less than nothing to her and the sum of who she is. She is synonymous to death in many ways, though she refers to herself as its steward and rightfully so.

But I think what sets her apart is that she never grows numb to it. That mask is to hide the fact that all of it still affects her. It's to hide all of it - her loneliness, yes, but also that she feels every death. She hears every cry, every curse, every regret. She stands before every soul individually and does what she must, and she wears the mask so that she can do so without giving anything of her mortal feelings away. The dead do not need to know that she cares, that she understands. Death is not about her. It is about who is standing in front of her waiting to be ushered into the beyond. She is the great reuniter, forever separated from the one she loves.

So yes. I believe that Vax was always meant to have more time, right up until time was the only thing left to barter. His fate was to die after a long and happy life, to go peacefully and take up the mantle at her side when he was done on Exandria.

But that had to change to save the fate of the world, and nobody in this realm or any other knows better the loss and the grief that came about from cutting that time short. Vax wasn't meant to understand it either. She wanted better for him and, by extension, keyleth.
