Sinthia watches at the back scene as your cleaved left arm drain more blood, from the piles of Austrian snow up until the deepest underground facilities of HYDRA. Oh, how she adored the way you look: lifeless and constricted to pain - what more when you wake up, she thinks, what more when you realise what will you become. The Soviet soldiers who helped with the transportation were dispatched long before Sinthea and a team of HYDRA men entered the provisions. 

Unsurprisingly, the woman recognises your face; you were one of those American infidels who were captured and sent to work at the HYDRA’s weapons site in the Austrian Alps, halfway between Kitzbühel and Klagenfurt. Sinthea knows you were already enhanced and experimented for numerous times by Zola. And for this reason, Zola is delighted after seeing you back again in his ward. 

          the last thoughts the girl known as Jemima Barnes would have; thoughts of city streets and tin cans on string; of her parents and her brothers and sisters at Christmas, of trying to teach a best friend how to DANCE. they were left behind in a trail of BLOOD on mountain snow. 

          it would have been easier to DIE.

          as Sinthea stood watch over the young woman; thinking of the look on Zola’s face to have one of his little projects return home; an Agent entered the room, clipboard in hand, frown on his face.   ‘  zay got Zola.  ‘   was all he said, not exactly to Sinthea, but to the whole room of scientists.   ‘  ------  he vas captured on route. It vas Captain America.  ‘   a ripple of anger ran around the room; followed by the nervous looks, of who would have to tell this to their leader. then all eyes fell to Sinthea to gage her reaction. 

           it was in that moment that their patient awoke, with a painful gasp; her back arch as her body convulsed a little. it felt like someone had ripped her arm clean off; but most of the pain came from the attachment of metal. her eyes opened, darting around the room; and she tried to move; but the restraints gave her no room for that. 

           ------  she tried to call for HELP. but to who...? and where was she, and... WHO WAS SHE ?   the first thing she saw were the eyes of a woman; and every pair of angry eyes on her.

“Calm yourself.” He says gently as he could, eyes serene in the face of death as he states down at the gun in her palms. “I am an Atlantean, I can bring you to the shore if you trust me enough to do so.”

 “Or you can find yourself swimming for hours.” He is unconcerned but Arthur would be happy if he helped a surface dweller back to shore, he surely will. 

         ‘  this IS me calm.  ‘   she warned; flicking the safety off her weapon and keeping it held upwards as the waves carried her gently. it was hard to lock on when the ocean wouldn’t stop moving. 

        ATLANTIAN ?   was that a real thing? it wouldn’t shock her. not anymore. not after the day she had. she could barely remember what was REAL. her only reaction was to lower the pistol and let out a slightly pained... LAUGH ?   

        sure, why not, Atlantians... nothing made sense...

        ‘  I can swim for hours. I would rather do that than trust someone I don’t know,  ‘   she didn’t trust anyone right now. ESPECIALLY NOT HERSELF.

Sinthea Schmidt is still trying her best to get used to her new physical state. For her, it feels like she was literally a toddler a week ago. But, oh my, her father is determined to know if Sinthea is worth to be his heiress. Yes, given that Sinthea is displeased with her father’s hollow mindset about his own daughter, the female still complies until she figures out a way to get around matters.

Her first (diluted) mission is to keep Arnim Zola safe as he transports via one of HYDRA’s armoured trains, Schnellzug EB912. Sinthia let her battalion to ambush Steve Rogers and his troops as she remains occupied on studying Rogers and Barnes from a far; her first time meeting the two comrades. So when she sees Bucky falling out of one of the train cars, Sinthea nonchalantly steps out of the speeding train and tries no manoeuvre her suit to the direction where the hero’s friend fell down.

Arnim Zola might have been captured, but in front Sinthea lies a cold and almost-lifeless body of one of the people who fortifies Steve Rogers the most. After checking the Barnes’ wrist, the woman cladded in black suit pressed her ear device and she speaks of her location in coordinates.

❝I need transport. I found something useful.❞

          one moment, she was holding tight to her friend’s hand; wind and snow in her arm, and air pushing into her lungs, forcing it’s way inside. she had to HOLD ON. the last thing she remembered was VERTIGO; the world starting to spin, and Steve’s voice, growing ever smaller and more distant in the winter wind. 

           the next moment she was awake, cold fingers on her chin, shocking her out of unconsciousness with a gasp and a quick turn of her head. she CRIED out. that turn had been a bad idea: she heard a bone crack in her neck. everything hurt; EVERYTHING WAS WHITE. but those were definitely fingers on her chin, someone above her, examining her. the cold was creeping in, making her severed shoulder numb. she didn’t even realize she’d lost an arm. 

            ‘  STEVE  ------  ?  ‘   and she actually SMILED; smiled up at Sinthea as if they were friends. for a moment; in a daze, she thought: ‘great; i’m never living this one down. Colonel’s gonna’ be a smug ass about this one...’

             and then her head fell forward; against Sinthea. 

             the radio crackled.   ‘  vhat do you have?  ‘   a voice asked;   ‘  we’re sending units out, immediately. prepare for engagement.  ‘
