LAUFEY'S NEW MUSIC VIDEO "SILVER LINING" IS A REFERENCE TO DANTE'S INFERNO

This seed was planted the moment I heard the chorus snippet's.

"So I propose, it's long overdue When you go to hell, I'll go there with you too And when we're punished for being so cruel The silver lining is, I'll be there with you"

This immediately made me think of Francesca da Rimini and Paolo Malatesta, an adulterous couple were punished in the 2nd ring of hell for it. For their punishment their souls a swept forever in violent winds to represent how their lustfulness blew them away just as aimlessly.

No one can convince me otherwise that the monster prom that Laufey attends in the MV ISN'T supposed to represent hell, specifically the nine circles of Hell like in the Inferno, with the constant shots of the camera spinning around and the dance circle forming around her, WHICH ALSO, push and sweep her around within in a circle, perhaps a metaphor of the same winds that would punish her soul??

ALSO ALSO, as Laufey descends deeper within the building of the dance, aka descends deeper into Hell, to a basement-looking area she meets with her lover at an ice cream parlor and this could allude to how the deepest part of hell (the ninth circle and the very bottom where Lucifer is held) is a lake of ice that punished souls are trapped in.

In the grand scheme of what Laufey 3 could have in store, it's a bit tricky. From what I'm kind of drawing up is that Silver Lining's theme of divine punishment could be connecting to Goddess, from the extended version of Bewitched, Goddess dealt with the theme of her public vs private presentation and how that personally affects her. Illustrating her public image as a divine feminine perfection. Laufey 3 will also be her first album post-Grammy win, something that undoubtedly cemented her as a renowned-singer. Perhaps she will be drawing from that Goddess metaphor again in Laufey 3. Maybe Laufey will traverse in her own divine comedy in Laufey and she ventures through the hell and paradise that her fame has given her.
