People often ask me why I am so drawn to taylor and her music, and my first thought is always the fact that she is the only person that has ever been able to speak my mind.

Here’s a reaction video clip of me watching/listening to taylor sing TIMT for the first time after hearing her describe the envisioned meaning behind the song. I got incredibly emotional while listening (to the point where I actually had to pause the film for a bit after this song), because she had just described and acknowledged the legitimacy of the most terrifying core issues that jeopardize my life on a daily basis.

@taylorswift I doubt you will ever see this... BUT if by some miracle you do, I just want to thank you for being able to so eloquently articulate my feelings and experiences when I am at a loss for words. I know you love reaction videos, and while this reaction clip may seem sad, I see it quite differently. It is your ability to evoke my deepest, darkest emotions that I love the most. It’s that moment of “wait...holy shit... she is literally talking about me” that suddenly makes life seem bearable for a few minutes. It is an incredibly powerful thing to feel understood by ANYONE when you are feeling most alone, let alone by someone you so deeply admire. I’m FOREVER thankful for you, and I so desperately hope that one day I’ll be able to hug and thank you in-person.

I know red and folklore are super similar musicaly but story and theme wise, she is speak now all grown up. Speak now was her fantasies of running through an enchanted forest in a ball gown while folklore is the realities... realizing you’ve gotten lost in the woods and you ballgown is really a ripped up dress and a cardigan. She was running with her prince but realized their were bumps in the road and she will come in contact with thorns. This album is Taylor growing up and as someone who’s been really scared of growing up folklore made me realize, it’ll be scary but it will okay to grow up and face my realities instead of just my fantasies. I know this isn’t exactly where anyone’s head is at with this album but it’s how I see it and how it’s helping me ✨

So, my teacher LOVES Taylor Swift. She tried to buy tickets to Lover fest, but unfortunately couldn’t. Since I’m a senior this year, when I graduate I can be friends with the teachers. I have never related to a teacher so much, and she has done so much for me. Yesterday, I surprised her with my extra Taylor Swift ticket to Lover Fest East as an early bday gift! Here’s the video:

I think knowing someone’s favorite song gets you to know someone better. It shows a lot about your personality. So I figured I’ll introduce myself. My name is Brooke and I think it’s so special that everyone has that one song that has a piece of their heart and how they belong in everyone’s life a little differently. It’s the song that makes you feel safe and at home the moment you start listening to it and for me that song will always be Cornelia Street. Love is something that means the most to me, but it’s the best and worst feeling you can have. It’s so heart warming yet heartbreaking and terrifying. The way that someone can just walk out of your life makes me so nervous, especially because you love that person. I always tend to overthink that part of love. If I ever lost the person I loved the most I wouldn’t go to the place that makes me the most safe no matter how hard it might be. It’ll hold too many memories for me that it would hurt. Also, I am a person who LOVES looking back at memories, feeling nostalgic is my favorite and Cornelia Street captures the feeling of nostalgia perfectly. With every lyric, a memory flashes upon my eyes and it’s absolutely magical. As being someone who struggles with anxiety, this song definitely has helped me through the worst times of my life, but has also been there through the happier and special moments. It has been there when no one has and it’s been a song that has been by my side, holding my hand these past few months. @taylorswift thank you for sharing this song with us, it means everything to me. I love you so much and I hope I never lose you. My heart is yours. 🌸💌💕🌷

Having a cat named Taylor Swift is truly the funniest thing ever For example: the questions I got asked when she ran away and I kept posting to my stories “Taylor Swift is missing”... or when I say things like “Taylor is my child” because well technically she is.

Social-distancing is really hard and even more so for those of us with mental illnesses, such as anxiety and depression. Any plans to meet up with friends to get out of the house and away from our own minds have been put on hold. Mental health checks with doctors have been moved. Counseling sessions have been cancelled... and it is REALLY hard. All of the things many of us turn to for our mental well-being are suddenly gone and I am struggling, as I know many others are as well.

With that being said, it is SO important to everyone’s physical health that we continue to take this seriously and follow guidelines of staying home.

PLEASE (seriously... please) don’t be afraid to reach out if you are struggling. I know I usually rely on occupying myself with things to do outside of the house/focus my energy on spending time with others to escape my own thoughts, but due to the current situation that is not an option and it can get really hard... and that is okay; we are not alone and this will pass. It’s okay to not be okay sometimes, but also it is important to reach out any time you feel yourself slipping. There are so many people that are here to help, myself included. We will get through this together. Hang in there buddies; I love you ALL and hope you’re well💖
