I'm not boycotting something due to the fact a teenager involved with it has a controversial political opinion. Are you boycotting tumblr? Wait until you hear what this one tumblr employee said!

So sorry the man you idolised doesn't support his peoples' nation being wiped off the map.
Remember when all the actors with Chinese heritage were cancelled for not sufficiently condemning the Uyghur genocide, an actual genocide? Yeah me neither.

I'm so shocked and outraged that a Jewish actor signed a letter calling for the release of hostages, and for freedom for Israelis and Palestinians from a brutal Islamist terrorist organization. I'm so disgusted I'm going to pretend I'm not going to watch the next season of a show he's in or something, omg.

Remember back when all the Holywood actors got cancelled and people refused to watch their movies because they expressed support for America after 9/11. If only they'd issued statements acknowledging the hijackers' grievances they could have had successful careers. Oh well

part of the reason why i think the route they took this season is so genius because if it really happens, it’s not up to will anymore.
they showcased will’s love towards mike in the most beautiful and selfless way possible. they’ve established that will is willing to put mike and el’s happiness above his own. will may not move on, but we know for a fact he’s not going to be making moves, because that’s just not him.
so it’s not up to will anymore. it’s up to mike. it’s up to el to realize she doesn’t need mike, to finally have the talk with him and come to the conclusion they love each other platonically. and then it’s up to mike to return will’s feelings, and make this known for both parties.
will not only beat the homewrecker allegations, he outright destroyed them and he showcased absolute and utmost selflessness while doing so, and now a large part of the GA roots for his happiness.
now it’s up to mike to make up for his shitty behavior, in one way or another, and frankly, revealing that he’s been having internal struggles with conformity and identity issues might just be the best way.

El: "Will's working on a painting for someone he has a crush on."
Mike: 🤔
Will: "Hey Mike I painted this for you."
Mike: 😍
Will: "Yeah El told me to do it."
Mike: 😑

Okay guys I think we might have steamrolled much too quickly. I have rewatched season 4 again and listened to people talking about it outside this tag. I think the Duffer brothers did exactly what they wanted to. We also have to think about the fact that a lot of the actors already know what’s going to happen in season 5, meaning they may have not been teasing us at all. I know we don’t want to give the brothers too much credit, but we also should give them some, they’re not stupid.
We were supposed to notice how terrible Mike’s monologue was and how it was a DIRECT RESPONSE to Will’s confession. This season above all of them Will and Mike were blatantly always pushed together, it’s not hidden anymore or a little conspiracy, they are ALWAYS right next to eachother and staring at eachother. I know how it looks outwardly that they used Will to help a straight couple, but watching it again, I don’t think that was their intention? And I’m not saying that I truly believe Byler season 5, but while we gave up, alot of people started noticing it and talking about that final shot and Mike’s shitty speech.
I think the Duffer’s planted the idea into people’s heads in the way that made the most sense. Could they have done more? Of course, but also the show isn’t about romance it’s about action mostly so I think right now we’re actually not analyzing it enough. That final shot was so blatantly obvious, we’re not crazy.

so mike told eleven he loved her since the first time he saw her in the woods? but why did he say in the second episode of season one that they should send her back to wherever she came from??? AND right after “we’ll go back to what REALLY MATTERS finding WILL!” lmao
#perhaps he was just barefaced lying to get El to save everyone#Mike saying what he thinks he ought to say has kinda been a theme for a while

Mike loves El, not Will
Mike LITERALLY couldn’t even tell El that he loved her and also threw her note she wrote him in the TRASH 🗑
Mike also didn’t even notice that El was lying to him; Will had to tell him she was. Meanwhile, Mike DID notice Will being upset despite Will not saying anything on the matter. So what does that mean? Seems to me like Mike pays more attention to Will than he does to El.
Does Mike love El platonically? Sure. Does he love her romantically? Absolutely not!

He LITERALLY HAS HIS EYES WIDE OPEN IM CRYIN 😭✋🏻
Mike formed a trauma bond with El in season 1 because he latched onto her due to Will, his BEST FRIEND, going missing. He needed someone to be there to protect since Will wasn’t there, hence why he trauma bonds with her.
If it were not for Mike’s love for Will, he would have never met El at all, and as such, would never have been reunited with Will. It was Mike’s love for Will that ultimately led to his rescue. It was Mike’s love for Will that started the whole story, and it will be the way the story ends, too. Cope! <3333
