Uhhhh duh of course I do! I had armies! A castle! And back then doubters of my reign like you got their heads popped off by yours truly!

Magic is alright I guess I don’t really get why Luz is so obsessed with it.

Take it from someone who’s seen what comes next, don’t trust Belos.

(The collector doesn’t seem open to taking asks right now…)

It's good you have faith in those you consider friends, but, if Belos truly cared wouldn't he not only have faith in you keeping your end of the promise, but also have freed you by now? Heck, if he's your friend he would've freed you, no requests added. When he was making the Portal Door he probably found enough Titan's Blood to not only make it, but also free you.

That, and he's lied to everyone else on the Boiling Isles for how long? He definitely knows how to lie. And, here's the thing Collector. Whilst I have the great suspicion you do not want to remember that time, but I have the feeling you were alone with no one to talk to for a while. And, I've heard that people under those circumstances tend to latch on to the first people they've met if those people manage to seem nice enough to do so.

And, again, Belos knows how to lie. And part of being a good lier is being able to ensure any tells they have that, well, tell you they are lying are hidden.

If you don't believe me, I won't force you. But, please, at least consider it. Take into account what you saw Belos do to lie to everyone else, and try and see any similarities to how he interacts with you.

Just, if he is lying, I want you to know, because again, if he is lying, I have the feeling he would reveal it in such a way that hurts you, even if it's not your body, because your emotions and you as a person can be hurt like your body can, and personally I don't want that. So please, at least keep what I said in mind.

B-But he wouldn’t lie to me, right? He wouldn’t!

What would you do if Phillip/Emperor Belos broke his pinky promise and decided NOT to free you?

He wouldn’t do that, we spent hundreds of years together! He pinkie swore! If he did I’d be suuuuper mad though

The power of being extremely stubborn beings that tend to not quit when they're ahead is how we do anything meaningful. Besides, having a time limit makes us go "I will do something meaningful before my times runs out or I'll die trying!" After all, via doing so your remembered, and by being remembered it means your life was worth something.

...um. Collector. Not, everyone gets back up when they die. Hell, the very vast majority of people don't. We die, we die. Well unless our dead bodies are the subjects of necromancy but that requires an entire ritual and we're still dead at the end of the day. But, you know how rocks can erode into dust? Or be ground into dust? Well, people in general are like that. Everyone is built with a specific time limit, and once it reaches zero there's no way to turn back the clock. And, sometimes stuff happens that lowers that time limit, like if someone is really sick or injured.

You demons are so fragile! How do you even do anything at all?
