I took it upon myself to make my own doc (with a bit of help from my friends) with specific incidents and proof that she has been hateful towards other people who think differently to her.

Dark Crystal Fandom PSA

It has come to my attention that an anon has been sending messages to various users in this fandom that contain unsubstantiated claims about one or more members of The Dark Crystal fandom here on tumblr.

If you have or do receive one of these anons, please think critically before you pass any judgement. More important, do not harass the user the anon is targeting, regardless of if the anon's claims are true or not.

If you are the anon, however, I urge you to please stop what you're doing. Whatever your intentions are, your actions not only reflect poorly on you as a person, but you are ultimately doing more harm than good.

Just want to dust off my blog again to say this;

There is some bad stuff in the fandom, but it's not skek stans

Been seeing a lot of "If you love the skeksis then you're wrong/white", which is really eh to me.

I'm not white and I love the skeksis. When I first watched the series, I cared very little of gelflings because they didn't seem that interesting (Exceptions being Deet and Seladon). But when I saw the skeksis and urru designs, I instantly fell in love with them and wanted to know more of them. A being that was split into two creatures with divided personalities is so cool to me.

There's nothing wrong with liking the skeksis especially with how people on the show love what fans made of their characters on social media. One of the puppeteers even liked my skeksis ship art.

They didn't vilify their fans, they simply loved what their puppets inspired others to create. If the people who worked on the show didn't care about fans liking the hedonist monsters then why should I care if another person loves the skeksis.

Also people should realize that villains across different medias will always have fans regardless of their actions in canon. This is nothing new, it's just fandom. Villains are often entertaining, have an amazing design or just have a really interesting character.

Ok look, I am team Gelfling all the way, but if people like the Skeksis and enjoy making their own Skeksis characters, headcanons, etc., then imma let them fucking be! It’s not that hard

Obviously the Skeksis are evil as all hell, but as many ppl have pointed it out, they’re fictional, as in not even real, you can do whatever you want with them so long as it’s not something super fucking inappropriate that you’re shoving down ppl’s throats and forcing them to agree with.

Just leave Skeksis fans alone. That’s all I’m gonna say.

I remember when The Dark Crystal fandom prided itself on being one of the most accommodating, laid back, most mature fandoms around and I’d just like to say congratulations on absolutely toileting all of that.
