Have you ever seen someone without a face?
Because I can't seem to get the image out of my head. She should be dead, they tore her face off. And yet she’s right in front of me, breathing. She has no eyelids, she just stares. Her lips were torn off, I can see her horrible yellow teeth in front of my gaping mouth.
I am sick. But, when Master Porky saw it, he smiled. They’re keeping 4b alive, they want to see how long she can last. They’re taking her somewhere, they haven't told me where, but she’s no longer under my watch. I only hope something good can come out of this.
Tomorrow is another day.

I’m scared. I’ll say it plainly. This horrible feeling is creeping up my spine. Something is going to happen. Grand-Commander has yet to say anything and my colleagues are scared for the life of 4b. I’ve spoken to Master Porky, and he refuses to do anything. I just need to get it all off my mind. But behind this horrible feeling is one as if I’m forgetting something.

I’ve seen 4b’s arms. They're covered in cuts from 12a and 13a. Every time they bandage them up, she just gets cut again. I’ve tried to contact the Grand-Commander multiple times, yet she never responds. I know I complained about my colleagues, but I’m starting to get just as concerned as them.

My colleagues believe that they know why 12a and 13a have been aggressive. They think that because of 12a and 13a’s advanced ability to obtain knowledge, they overheard the scientist talking about 1b’s death. Because of this, the two of them decided to copy the behavior of 2b.
I’m not sure how I feel about this little theory, but it’s the best thing they have so far.

Still nothing back from the Grand-Commander, but I suppose that's warranted.
Anyway, 2b’s behavior has not changed. In fact, 3b has begun to come to me crying, begging I do something about it. I’ve found clumps of 3b’s hair scattered around their room. I’ve seen it’s face scattered with bruises. Even so, I’m unsure what I even could do. Taking either of them out of the room could be horribly detrimental to the entire experiment. Even so, I tell 3b I will figure it out.
Similarly, 12a and 13a have continued their rampage. The walls of their room have been torn to shreds. My colleagues believe this is truly unnerving, but I see it as nothing to be concerned about.

Juggling these two experiments in two different sectors has truly been a struggle. I’ve sent in a request to our Grand-Commander for 4b to move sectors. She hasn't gotten back to me though, so I assume it will be a while. When I informed my colleagues about my decision, they breathed a sigh of relief.
Truly a dramatic bunch I work with.

Again with the 12a and 13a conversations. 4b seems incredibly fearful to be around them, and now my colleagues are as well. They’ve been having to draw straws on who should go in and give them their food. They've told me stories about how 12a and 13a have begun to bite, they've clawed the walls, and even cut 4b.
I ignore their complaints.

How confusing. These past days, what a feeling I’ve had. But I digress.
Throughout what I’ve seen from 2b, it seems to be becoming much more violent. I’ve seen it stealing food from 3b, berating 3b. I’ve even seen it go as far as to hit 3b and pull its hair and such.
I’d like to relate these things to 1b’s behavior. When the two of them were first introduced to this place, 1b was incredibly aggressive. I want to believe that what we’ve done is transfer consciousness from one organism to another. But, I’m hesitant to say so. The rest of 2b’s behavior is the same as before.
These creatures are surely confusing, but if only science were easy.

It’s a strange feeling, seeing the snow fall outside of the windows. Sometimes I wonder how these people ever survived, they don't have heaters, greenhouses, anything of the sort. I suppose maybe this ‘Dark Dragon’ is on their side as they say.
Speaking of that, I did some research on what exactly this ‘Dark Dragon’ is. I’ve heard Grand-Commander Kumatora say the phrase before, but I suppose I never thought anything of it until 4b mentioned it.
Apparently, this Dark Dragon is their sort of God. They believe that the island they live on is not natural made land, instead it is the back of this ‘Dragon’.
It’s truly amazing to see what people come up with when they have no explanations for things that are just scientific.

Log 30. 11/29
I’ve been able to speak with 3b alone, while 2b was asleep. Here is a transcript of our conversation;
Fuel mumbled to himself, he could see Lucas in the corner of his vision. To anyone else, they would have assumed Lucas was asleep. Fuel knew that wasn't true, neither of them slept anymore. The man, the one that had talked to Fuel before, sat in front of him, his legs crossed and a clipboard in his lap.
“Hello 3b, how are we today?” He spoke, and Fuel curled into himself.
“What di’you do to me…” Fuel mumbled, he wrapped his arms around himself and held his knees to his chest. He could feel how tight the bandages around his eye was, he felt like they were squeezing his brain.
The man sighed, looking down at his clipboard, “You are part of a new age experiment. You’re going to help build the future, 3b.”
“No.” Fuel shook his head, “I don't wan’to! I want to go home! I don’t wanna do this!”
He let out a breath as he felt a pain in his back. Fuel could feel his back break and burn, he cried out in pain. He doubled over, grabbing at his hair, screaming.
“3b… Please, calm down. You’re doing this to yourself. The more emotional you are the more the mechanics will act out!” The man had stood back up, stepping back in fear.
“Get away from me! Get away from me!”
At this point I left immediately. The idea of waking 2b up scared me immensely. Well, I was also able to speak with 4b today, as I was rather productive. So, heres in the transcript of that:
Nana hid herself away in the corner of the room. She could feel three sets of eyes boring into her. Those… things and that doctor, the one she met when she first came here.“
Hello ma’am.” The doctor spoke, smiling at her.
“Where am I? What are you going to do to me?! And where did you take Fuel? Do you have Lucas and Claus too?!” She stood up as tall as she could, but the man still looked at her as if she were small.
“I just want to ask you a couple questions. I already have your basic info from our last talk, but I know how it was cut short…” The doctor tapped his clipboard a few times.
Nana paused, thinking for a moment, “Fine. But you have to get me away from these… things.” She gestured towards her roommates, those monkey-monster things. At first they were kind, but now they growl at her, pull her hair, and try to bite her.The man tilted his head in confusion,
“Might I ask why?”
“Because they're mean!” She said, crossing her arms, “They bite! And they’re not… natural. Dark Dragon would never create something like that…”
The man thought for a moment, “I’m afraid I can't do that.”
“Then I’m not answering any of your stupid questions!”
The man sighed.
She refused to answer any of my questions. I need to talk to Master Porky again, it seems.

All day, everyday, all these people talk about is 12a and 13a. Truly, it is most annoying. I ignore them the best I can when I go to check on 4b. Speaking of her, I need to arrange a meeting with Master Porky to discuss her future in helping to build the empire. Oh my, my schedule seems to be filling up by the second. No matter, I’m going to attempt to speak to 3b tomorrow, and perhaps, if I have time, speak with 4b as well.

3b has been moved back to the white room, much to 2b’s dismay. Their formerly close relationship has faltered, instead they stay on opposite sides of the room. 3b refuses to eat, usually giving it to 2b. It seems rather horrified at its new mechanical state. I need to speak to it soon.

Surgery Record. 11/25
3b’s arm has been replaced with a mechanical version, capable of studying 3b’s nerve movement and copying them. And by the word of King Porky, part of its spine has also been removed, replaced with two mechanical wings, although it is unable to fly. Due to a small oversight, part of 3b’s left (our right) eye has been removed. We are currently unable to find materials to replace it mechanically, so it has just been covered with a bandage.

Testing Log 1. 11/23
2b has been prompted with a decision that has two outcomes. It was tasked with either cutting off its own arm, or cutting off the arm of its companion, 3b. When asked about its decision, 2b seemed hesitant, unable to decide and attempting to stall for time. When given a limit on the amount of time to choose, the consequence being death, 2b responded negatively. In the end, 2b’s final decision was to cut off the arm of 3b instead of its own.
Ah, now, I must admit this gets a little hard to describe. Before the experiment I overheard some of my colleagues speaking to each other. The cleaver they gave to 2b, the one it must use to cut 3b’s arm, they made it purposefully dull. It’s not sharp enough to cut through meat and bone, hell, it's not even sharp enough to cut through paper. They want it to hurt.
The screams, oh how 3b screamed. 2b brought the cleaver down more times that I was able to count. When it was done, 3b’s arm looked as if it had been torn apart by 32a, maybe even worse. 2b dropped the cleaver and cried, he took 3b into its arms and refused to let go, even after 3b had passed out from blood loss. It took us ten minutes to finally get 3b away from it. 3b has been taken to the lab, its arm will be replaced by mechanical parts for testing before it is taken back to stay in the white room.
As for 2b, its behavior has been studied, and we have learned immensely about the Dubbel Effect.

Log 26. 11/22
My workmates continue to pester me about 12a and 13a, despite the fact I have many other things to worry about. I have a number of things to prepare for, and now that 3b is acting strange he may ruin it all. Not to mention this strange feeling I have. But all they do is pester me, about how something is going wrong, and that 4b and the two of them aren't getting along. 12a and 13a aren't even my experiments, and yet they must bother me every living second. Maybe they should be the next experiment, because they're beginning to act like them.
Ah, excuse my temper.
Tomorrow is the first big test for 2b, and things are going wrong. 12a and 13a have been acting violently, and despite not being my experiments, it still seems to affect me through 4b. Not to mention, 3b’s strange mood has only gotten worse. I fear I may have ruined things.
No matter, tomorrow is another day.

Log 25. 11/21
My unstable mental state and the strange dreams seemed to have accumulated into unwanted aggression. When 3b began its usual whining, I seemed to have snapped. Though, I’m sure one light slap across the cheek won't hurt, I did the same to my son when he was young. Though, after this 3b seemed afraid, and refused to accept food. I truly don't understand this strange behavior.

Log 24. 11/20
The other scientists seem rather worried about 12a and 13a. They think that maybe their strange behavior is about the possible sighting of 32a in another sector. I tell them not to interfere, they’ll get over it. As for 4b, she seems much more cautious around 12a and 13a, unlike how she was when they were first introduced.
With 2b and 3b, nothing seems to have changed. Though I fear I may snap if I hear any more of 3b’s cries. I know this seems strange, but I'm beginning to hear them in my dreams. This project seems to be getting to me, maybe I should talk to Porky about this.
