For anyone wondering why Lydia's so pale while Charles has darker skin, I always imagined Emily to be a bright, bubbly pale skin, blue eyes, blonde hair gal, and Lydia says "I'm your clone, your strange creation." So, when designing her, I kept to the same pale skin blue eyes ideal. She's still bio father and daughter, Emily's genes just said MINE. Lol.

Charles Deetz (he/him, 48)

-Has a matching tattoo with Lydia in honor of his wife, Emily

-Stopped working for Maxie, but still has stocks in his company

-Started ghost tours around Winter River as his new job. It's surprisingly popular, and the Maitlands enjoy helping him understand ghost life

-Has gotten close with Skye Hollins, a frequent guest for his tours

-Recently found out her crystals are spiritually charged, and began work as a psychic. Lydia's theory is that the exorcism probably sent a blast across the house that did that to her crystals

-To even her own surprise, she's quite accurate with her readings

-Tries to be a helping hand, but struggles to find balance

-Severely regrets having a hand in killing Otho

-Loves Barbara more than anything

-Finds a slight fancy for Beej, but he'd never admit it

-He's crafty. He enjoys creating things and works on a model of the town he lives in.

-Has been the primary source of chaos and destruction in the Netherworld after Juno's death

-Will do anything to help Lydia.

Hi, everyone! I'm a Beetlejuice AU sideblog run by @cat-and-books, Here, you will find concepts, storyboards, scriptings, etc. of my own Beetlejuice AU. I bring back cut content from the musical, as well as my own characters and concepts into the mix. I'm using this blog to get better at my artwork!

Additionally, my ask box is open! You can direct questions to me, or to the characters in my AU.

This AU takes place 3 years after the events of the musical. Lydia's graduating, Delia and Charles have just recently gotten married, everyone's in their own happy world. But the past still haunts them, and when Beetlejuice comes tearing his way from the Netherworld into the Deetz residence, trouble ensues.
