This is based off of the part where you get your fourth party member! The speech sounded as passionate as Ewan so I had to draw the scene with him making it lol

I started playing Miitopia weeks ago and I’m only up to the castle bc half of the time I’m playing is overthinking what character should be in each role LMAO

In The Sims 4, Jenny appears as one of the MySims trophies that can be collected by players. She is an uncommon trophy and described as: Jenny was a fan fiction pioneer! Sure, nowadays EVERYBODY gets a publishing deal or a movie based on their self-published stories, but Jenny’s “Starcruiser X” fanfic was the first!

Ah, Preston Winthrop Esquire. Self-proclaimed water-bottle mogul, and known Rich Person ™. I went to go talk to him during one of my Agent runs (as I like doing, he may suck but he’s very funny), and I came across this line. It was funny, but then I was intrigued. How much would this actually cost?

Let’s do the math.

We’ll have to make a few assumptions here, mostly about the size of the water bottles Preston makes. You can see them throughout the game (mostly as trash) but your best bet would be during his case at the ski lodge.

Just by looking at them, and then comparing them to one of these bottles:

they look a lot like a 16.9 fl oz (dumb number but okay) bullet. Let’s assume he produces those.

Next, the size of the pool Preston swims in. We have no visual data for this, but going off of what I know about Preston (AKA he’s rich and he takes things way too far), let’s assume he has an Olypmic sized pool, dimensions 50 meters by 25 meters by 3 meters, holds around 660,000 gallons.

There are 128 fl oz in a gallon. Knowing this, let’s calculate how many bottles it would take to fill it up.

A swimming pool holds 84,480,000 fl oz of water. Divide that by 16.9 fl oz, and you get 4,998,817 bottles (rounded).

So, that’s a lot of bottles. Preston, what are you doing? But that’s not all.

How much does he have to spend on it?

Well, the most recent data I could find for cost of a water bottle is $2.05, which is from 2013, so let’s just use that. This is cost to produce, keep in mind, because I’m assuming Preston only swims in his own bottled water (can’t give the competition any money, you know?).

4,998,817 bottles times $2.05 equals…$10,247,574.

If you needed an estimate on just how Rich Person ™ Preston is, then there’s your proof.
